Hullo, I'm Nina. I'm a fanfiction writing, story loving, forever lost in thoughts kind of person. I'll use this profile to tell you a little bit more about me and the things that I love. I also have an update diary at the bottom of the profile.
I'm a odd person in real life, both two things at once and all at the same time. If that doesn't make any sense to you, it's just easier to say I have two conflicting personality traits. On one hand, I'm pathetically shy, somewhat introverted and rather philosophical. On the other, I'm rather outgoing, I automatically take leadership whenever my group does a drama activity, and I've been described as a 'joker' AKA, I enjoy playing practical jokes on people. However, it's rather hard to play jokes on people when you're shy as hell, and to lead when you dislike talking to new people at all. If I had to describe myself I'd probably say I was a candybar with two flavors, all swirled up into one.
I'm also from Britain, I just thought I'd mention in case you're interested, though you may well have picked that up from my stories. TmHmLm does have a subtle British theme in it. I love my country, and I don't think I'd want to live anywhere else in the world than here. I'm a history geek, so ask if you ever need to know anything about British history... Though I'm not too up in the world wars, so best not to ask about that. I don't find wars very interesting.
I'm a fanfiction lover of all sorts, though I especially enjoy well-written angst fanfiction. I also like romance, both slash and the regular variety. I like stories that go out with a bang, ones that explode right at the end, where others would be winding down to the conclusion.
As for interests... I like anime and manga. I'm not rabidly obsessed by anything manga related like some people are, though I'll admit I used to be a bit like that when I was younger. I'm into anything by Kaori Yuki, and lately I've been reading the Nausica manga. On that note, I'm a big Studio Ghibli fan. I especially like My Neighbour Totoro, that film is addictive. :D
My favorite books are fantasies. Yes, I'm a fantasy junkie. My bookshelf is packed with books like the Wind on Fire trilogy, Harry Potter, Sabriel and sequals, as well as the Chronicles of Narnia. Recently I've got into the His Dark Materials trilogy by Philip Pullman and I've tried a bit of Terry Pratchett, though I have to be in the right mood to read his books.
The games I like most are mostly RPGs, namely Final Fantasy and Breath of Fire, which is where my penname comes from! Nina is a character from BoF and I've been stealing her name for use all around the internet for ages. (Like... five years) I think I first used it on Neoseeker, which is a gaming forum.

Thursday 27th of March- It's been more than a little while, and I hope everyone is well. The next chapter of APD is up! The next chapter will be shortly joining it (hopefully) as it is already eight pages long. :D
Also- OMG! We can now use single line breaks in stories! How the hell did that happen? I just noticed it for the profile page, and I tried it out on a story. It works! Jesus, the world must have gone mad. FF.net with single line breaks!? I've never heard of such a thing!
Now the question is whether I'm actually going to use them or not... I won't with my existing stories, cuz that'll mean I'll have to go back and change them, but future ones might use it instead of the double space. Hooray! FF.net is finally taking a step forward out of it's crappiness. All these special little features (beta readers, forums, ect) are all very well... but really all we writers need is the ability to write in the way we choose. It's irritating when we have to change our style just because the website feels like it.
Friday 7th of March- Phew. I finally finished writing chapter 16 and making the adjustments to it. I wanted to make sure it was absolutely perfect, but even now I'm still nervous. I wanted to make it dramatic, but not overly so, for the risk of it becoming corny. (Oh please, don't let it be corny!) All I can do now is hope, I guess.
Saturday 16th of Febuary- Ho, ho, ho, next chapter of APD is done. I told you the new year was a good writing time for me. This year seems even more so though. Hehe. This chapter was fun to write, the next one should be too. I'm still annoyed at my copy of BOF 3 though, I still can't get it too work... hopefully I'll find a cheap copy on Ebay soon. I don't want to leave it too long, cuz the price is only gonna go up the longer I leave it.
Monday 11th of Febuary- I finished the next chapter of TmHmLm and I've just stuck it up. I've started the next chapter already, I'm really excited (but a bit nervous, bizzarely!) about writing it. The first five pages or so of APD chapter 5 have been written as well.
Wednesday 6th of Febuary- Chapter 4 of A Princess's Duty is up now. Hehe, talk about speed updating. I'm impressing myself.
Tuesday 29th January- Chapter 3 of APD too.
Monday 28th January- TmHmLm 14 is up!
Friday 18th January- Next chapter of A Princess's Duty is up. :) I'm quite happy with it.
Sunday 13th January- I have finished rough drafts for the next chapters of Touch me, Hold me, Love , A Princess's Duty AND Pyramid of Fire. I've been writing like a...like a... well, I don't know what. But I HAVE been writing a lot. Now I just need to find the time to type them all up, and get the will to carry on with Pyramid of Fire. I don't know how long it's been since I last updated it, but I'm sure it's been some obscenely long amount. I'm just not interesting in Yugioh any more... I think that's the problem. But it will be finished, it has to be.
