Hullo, I'm Nina. I'm a fanfiction writing, story loving, forever lost in thoughts kind of person. I'll use this profile to tell you a little bit more about me and the things that I love. I also have an update diary at the bottom of the profile.
I'm a odd person in real life, both two things at once and all at the same time. If that doesn't make any sense to you, it's just easier to say I have two conflicting personality traits. On one hand, I'm pathetically shy, somewhat introverted and rather philosophical. On the other, I'm rather outgoing, I automatically take leadership during drama activities, and I've been described as a 'joker' AKA, I enjoy playing practical jokes on people. However, it's rather hard to play jokes on people when you're shy as hell, and to lead when you dislike talking to new people at all. If I had to describe myself I'd probably say I was a candybar with two flavors, all swirled up into one.
I'm also from Britain, though you may well have picked that up from my stories. TmHmLm does have a subtle (or obvious) British theme in it. I love my country, and I don't think I'd want to live anywhere else in the world than here. I'm a history geek too. :)
I'm a fanfiction lover of all sorts, though I especially enjoy well-written angst fanfiction. I also like romance, both slash and the regular variety. I like stories that go out with a bang, ones that explode right at the end, where others would be winding down to the conclusion.
I'm into anime and manga a little bit. I like anything by Kaori Yuki, though I also like cute stuff like Card Captor Sakura and things by Studio Ghibli. (My favourite Ghibli movie is Nausicaa, though Totoro is amazingly cute too.)
My favorite books are fantasies. Yes, I'm a fantasy junkie. My bookshelf is packed with books like the Wind on Fire trilogy, Harry Potter, Sabriel and sequals, as well as the Chronicles of Narnia. Recently I've got into the His Dark Materials trilogy by Philip Pullman and I've tried a bit of Terry Pratchett, though I have to be in the right mood to read his books.
The games I like most are mostly RPGs, namely Final Fantasy and Breath of Fire, which is where my penname comes from! Nina is a character from BoF and I've been stealing her name for use all around the internet for ages. (Like... five years) I think I first used it on Neoseeker, which is a gaming forum.

Update diary
Saturday 19th of July- TmHmLm chapter 18 is up now! I'm almost done with the next one of APD, but there's a battle scene, and I find battle scenes very hard to write. :( That one will need a little bit more thought. I'm also working on an original story now, a novella about a girl/girl seaside romance, title as of yet undecided. It'll be up on Fictionpress once I write a little more on it. (So you all better read it, haha!)
Friday 6th of June- The next chapter of TmHmLm is up. This one's a relatively long one. It was... difficult to write. After such a climax, it's hard to come down from that sort of tension- but I think I did okay with it.l
Monday 2nd of June- Okie mokie, the next chapter of A Princess's Duty is up. The plot goes full swing in this chapter, but I assure you that I am going somewhere with this.
Thursday 29th of May- Today I finished fixing up the mistakes in TmHmLm. I've been gradually going through chapters 1-12 (the later ones, I should hope, don't need much more proof-reading) and today I finished up. Since I started writing the fic over two years ago, the first chapters aren't as good as the later ones, while that still proves true, there's a lot less spelling and punctuation mistakes than before. I've also changed small parts in the plot that I decided I just couldn't leave.
As well as this, I just finished writing chapter 17. And chapter 8 for A Princess's Duty.
...How good am I? :D
Both need to be proofread, and it's a long chapter for TmHmLm this time, so it might take a few days to get both up. I'm in a super writing mood at the moment though! So much so that I'm glad I'm not going on holiday. How completely bizzare is that?!
