| Nina Windia |
Author has written 11 stories for Breath of Fire, Yu-Gi-Oh, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Wind On Fire, Harry Potter, and Twilight. All stories are suspended for the month of November while I do NaNoWriMo. If any fellow wrimos wish to add me as a buddy, I'm here. But please drop me a line and let me know you're from ff first. All I have to give are words. Hullo, I'm Nina. I'm an introverted oddball who likes writing stories, and isn't passionately interested in much else. I'm English, and a fanfiction lover of all sorts, though I especially enjoy well-written angst fanfiction. I also like romance, both slash and the regular variety. I like stories that go out with a bang, ones that explode right at the end, where others would be winding down to the conclusion. I'm a fan of Studio Ghibli films, my favourite of all time being Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind (though I also love Totoro and Kiki...) My other anime favourites include Haibane Renmai, ROD, Paranoia Agent, and a few others. I love the Nausicaa manga, though I usually like more gothic manga, like those by Kaori Yuki. My favorite books are fantasies. Yes, I'm a fantasy junkie. My bookshelf is packed with books like the Wind on Fire trilogy, Earthsea, Harry Potter, Sabriel and sequels, as well as the Chronicles of Narnia. Recently I've got into the His Dark Materials trilogy by Philip Pullman and I've tried a bit of Terry Pratchett, though I have to be in the right mood to read his books. I also like Twilight and sequels- though Breaking Dawn was frightening. :p Historical novels can be fun too. I used to play games a lot when I was younger, but my appreciation for gaming has waned over the years. However, I'm still a huge fan of the Breath of Fire series, and other RPGs like Final Fantasy and fun little games like Katamari are great too. My penname, Nina, is taken from the BoF series. If anyone feels like saying something to me, or asking anything, feel free to email me. I always like meeting new people, or chatting to old ones, so go ahead. I promise I won't eat you. :D Currently playing: Final Fantasy 7 Currently reading: Moll Flanders by Daniel Defoe Story Fanart; This is Nina from A Princess's Duty in her wedding dress. The cast of Edward the Sugar Queen! All drawn with much hilarity with Mini Willy Wonka in Cornwall; his Royal Highness the Sugar Queen himself. Pychotic kingpin Bella- up to her tricks no doubt. Alice and Mr Flipsy. And not forgetting, my personal favourite- Jacob. We forgot to do Charlie, so instead, you get a fabulous picture of Edward as a princess. Shameless Advertising Section; September, 1992-- (NEW!!) The first chapter of my next story, telling the story of sixteen year old September who is trying to find her place in the world. She doesn't know what she wants to do in life, and is struck down in anxiety for her future. Enter Sapphire Yates, a self-assured painter with a reason to live for the moment. She teaches September how to live in the here and now. Romance and femslash. Lysandra-- A psuedo-supernatural novel I've written about a fifteen year old girl under a family curse, named Lysandra Eldridge. Most of her immediate family have died- from seemingly different illnesses and accidents- however, Lysandra continues to see their spirits. It doesn't take long before she's committed to a mental hospital to cure her. This story is one I've wanted to write for a long time, and recounts her experiences at the hospital and the people she meets, and her search to discover the mystery behind the curse. One Man and his Snail -- A rather ridiculous humor novel I wrote in 2007. It tells the story of Ratbreath, a thirty-something catholic tramp, who lives with his best friend Buggins, a snail, in a wheelie bin on the side of a motorway. Whether it's actually funny or not is up to you. My fictionpress account-- Where all my original stories are hosted. I'm trying to move away from fanfiction so that I can work on my own stuff more, so you're likely to see more activity here. Mini Willy Wonka-- My younger brother, co-author of Edward the Sugar Queen. He hosts the HP masterpiece 'Chuck Children in the Fire'. Go read and review his stories and love him. | |||||||||
