ok, it's been years, but since i'm back i guess i should update this thing. i'm 26, living in southern ontario. i suppose the best discription of me is that i'm a fandom fangirl. i'm active in a whole bunch of different ones, participating in different ways.

and of course, then there's my fanfiction, Phantom of the Opera was my first fandom, i've been in love with the story since i was 8 and my love of music likely came from that. all my older fanfiction is phantom based. then the movie came out...

recently i've become obsessed with Death Note to the point where i've gotten back into it. then i turned into a Narutard- yeah i've got an obsessive personality.

About my stories.

Rarely do I write something just because it popped into my head and i wanted to get it down. The biggest inspiration for me is actually, well, bad fic. I read it and I'm like... No, oh no, please, we can do better than this. And yes, I do refer to myself in plural. Typically, I'm trying to make some commentary on fandom or point out an odd observation on fandom behavior. I love trying to break stereotypes or cliches, to me. Also, I love rare pairs. I think the whole art behind fanfiction is taking the most f'ed up, insane situations, and making them work. I love it. Love it, love it, love it.

I'm also a bit of a feminist, which does come out in my stories from time to time. I do tend to read female characters with a very critical eye, especially when it comes to sexuality. It really gets to me when things like dub con or forced relationships (forced marriage, bonds/marks, any sort of magic type thing that makes a characters libido take over despite their better judgment) are glorified without going into the seriousness of the fact that a characters free will has been forcibly taken away. It's a major squick for me and it pisses me off that the characters seem to have no problem with it, as long as they got a good orgasm out of it in the end, and of course that leads to twu lub. Yeah, it really pisses me off- sorry for the rant but i just really needed to get that off my chest.

Naruto

Dirty Old Men Incomplete, regularly updated. I've come to think of this fic as Midsummer Nights Dream meets Naruto. Seriously, sometimes I think I should just make a flow chart just to clarify all the pairings. I've had so much fun writing it and yes, I am a bit of a dialog whore as this story proves. This fic was heavily influenced by the HP story 'Yes, but', it's in my favorites, read it. It's Snape/Tonks, and has some of the best banter I've ever read. I started it as a commentary on gen gap fics, but it's really gone way beyond that now.

Making the Best of it - Incomplete. Because they're two characters I love so why not! Inspired by personal events when I came to realise that the hottest guys I've ever been with have all been when I was so drunk I could barely remember anything and wow, that really sucks.

Strange Friends Complete. Really, I just wanted to see if I could. I considered extending this into maybe 3 chapters but then my cynical side was coming out and well, it wasn't a happy ending. So here it is, the one and only One-Shot I've written that's not designed to make you feel bad/sad/uncomfortable by the end.

To Make Uchiha Laugh Complete. I'm doing this because it made me laugh and I think others will too. I'm not a Sasuke fan, but out of all the girls, i really think Hinata is the best match for him. And Kakashi is always fun to write.

In the works

The Laundromat - oh it will be epic, you shall see.

Hinata/Ibiki fic - my friend challenged me and it sparked my older style of writing, meaning it'll be a bittersweet tear jerker, or at least that's what I'm going for. All my Naruto fics thus far have been humor, so I want to break the streak. I have it all planned, I just haven't started it yet cause the amount of set up required to make it plausible would really drag the reader, so I'm trying to think of a creative way to explain the events leading up in an entertaining manner so that the reader isn't left rolling their eyes saying 'There are so many logical solutions to this problem.'

Hinata/Sai oneshot, when I'm bored, I get my friend to challenge me to a random crack pair and I see what I come up with. The other night, she said Hinata/Sai, well first she said Karin/Kabuto but I don't like either of those characters so I black balled it :P Anyways, a really short, humor, one shot was born. I'll probably write it soon since it's a quicky.

i have a few other ideas drifting in my head but none that have gone beyond the general concept stage.

Thirteen - Again there's just not enough stories with BB, and especially not using him to his full potential. I have so much of this story planned out, but I know it would take forever to execute so... yeah, on hiatus.

Phantom stories status and some spoilers

The Execution of Christine Daae de Chagny - Supposed to be really short and I never got around to finishing and, well, I somehow managed to forget exactly how it was supposed to end facepalm I know. if i ever remember, i'll finish it cause it's short.

A conversation with Meg - Complete. Spoilers: I was never satisfied with how this turned out. I may do a rewrite if i ever get back into phandom, but the truth is I pussied out on the violence at the time. Erik is trying to drive Meg into killing him because he doesn't want to risk going to hell for suicide after receiving Christine's forgiveness. The ending, however was so vague that no body actually was able to pick up on it... I really should fix that.

The Crumbling Pedestal - Complete. Dispite the low reviews I'm really rather pleased with this one and the reviews i do have are amazing. Thank you, you guys got it. I'm a cynic when it comes to romance stories and though i love Phantom with all my heart, I also know that Christine made the right choice. this is my commentary on why.

Paris After Midnight - Incomplete though I loath to say abandoned. This was my flagship story for a long time, even though I cringe at how bad my structure and grammer was back then. I'm really upset that I never found it in me to finish this because this is one of those stories that I wrote to make a point. Spoiler: The story is designed to mirror the original Phantoms story. The antagonist falls for Christine and lures her into an underworld, only to have Erik try to save her. I wanted to see if I could get Phans to look at essentially the same story, retold in disguise and see if there reactions are similar.

The Drawn Veil - Complete. I am not a fan of dub con. This one sort of requires you to be familiar with the unabridged original version of Phantom, most people have read the abridged version which cuts out the part about the scissors. I was not making those up, they are canon.

Those Crazy Phans Incomplete, as long as there's fic, it will never be complete. Every fandom has one. that one story that is your guide to the Don'ts of fanficcing. I'm proud to have written what was at the time, the definitive one for the Phantom phandom. sparsely written with heavy dialog, this one just goes over all the stereotypes you've surely come across with humorus results.

The World is Turned Abandoned. I was young, I didn't know better. We all learn.

Persephone's Return Complete. Meah. There was no ulterior motive for this story, no point I was trying to get a cross. it's just fluff i guess, so I never really cared to much for it.

Angel Complete. One of my favorites. Seriously, read this one.

The Body Complete. Another favorite and a must read. Spoiler: i still remember exactly how this story came about. Actually i was working on Those Crazy Phans and in one of the chapters, which oddly enough i never got to, Bittersweet and Tragedy were haveing a brainstorming session and i was just trying to come up with the most f'cked up and twisted scenarios i could think of and well, this was one of them. I then thought to myself... huh, I can kinda see that going some where, maybe i should write it.

My first account got deleted because i wrote a story in script format. most of my old stories have been reposted, though of course i ended up losing quite a bit of reviews. this is where that culprit resides. The story itself is pretty funny, if you really know phandom and were around a few years ago before the movie was released.
