Finally, an update for 'Homecoming'. Sorry about that wait. Things are only going to slow down from now on though, since uni has officially started D: I'm starting to wonder where all the time goes. Chapter 14 is very much in-progress though. It's so close to being finished that the fact that it isn't quite finished is starting to drive me crazy. Yeah.

A little bit about me:

My favourite anime and manga:

Fruits Basket, Hands Off!, Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni and Death Note. Almost anything from Studio Ghibli. My new favourite is Perfect Blue. I still can't work out exactly what's going on, though. I guess the fact that it totally messes with your mind is part of why it's awesome. However, for some reason I can only write for one fandom at a time. Right now it's Yu-Gi-Oh. And like about 80 percent of all Yu-Gi-Oh fanfictioners, it's all because of The Abridged Series. I wonder why a parody show makes so many of us think the actual show is so awesome.

Favourite books:

Harry Potter series (oh yes, for all time), Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles, anything by Stephen King, Generation Dead by Daniel Waters (he made zombies kinda sexy. That's not easy). Oh, and I hate Twilight. How I hate Twilight. It started out as a good enough idea, but...no, don't get me started.

Favourite songs of the moment:

'Naraku no Hana' from Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni Kai. It makes me actually think about writing a Yu-Gi-Oh adaption of Higurashi. But I don't know if I could kill all my favourite characters so many times.

'Near to You' by A Fine Frenzy. It's ridiculously sad, but the first thing I thought when I heard it is that it's the ultimate angstshipping song. From Ryou's POV. Yup.

As for pairings...right now I'm a big tendershipping (RyouxBakura) fan ;D And Malik's really grown on me lately. It's a little scary.

You know what else is sweet? Angstshipping. Makes me go 'aaaww'. I feel like it's really underrated.

But deathshipping makes me go 'wtf?' ._. I guess it's possible, but you'd have to write it veeery well :P

Crossovers...

I don't think I ever quite got to grips with the idea of 'crossovers'. Instead of thinking of it as characters from two different 'worlds' coming together, I tend to think of my favourite characters from my current fandom being shoved into the world and roles of another franchise. Total AU style. Here's a few possibilities for the Yu-Gi-Oh fandom for you to ponder if you wish:

Fruits Basket. The only big problem is that there just aren't enough Yu-Gi-Oh characters to fill all the roles xD I know Yuugi is the obvious choice for the 'role' of Tohru, but I usually tend to use Ryou, or even Malik (yeah, seriously) when I think about it. Malik's usually Rin, though, with Mariku as Haru xD And RyouxBakura would work pretty well as TohruxKyo...in my mind, anyway >_>

Scrubs. Yes, I have actually thought about this xD Once again there's a character-shortage, though. Put the characters into any role you like, it's still funny x3

Higurashi no naku koro ni/kai. Uh huh. I actually tried writing this one, with Yuugi as Rika (and therefore Atemu as Hanyuu? :/), Ryou as Rena, Malik & Marik as Mion & Shion, Bakura as Keichi and Mokuba as Satoko. Who knows, maybe I'll upload it one day xD I might change it to Malik being Rena, though, with Ryou & Bakura as the scary twins :P Just depends who looks better wielding a cleaver, really.

I have a livejournal account under the name 'fiver_chaan' for fanfiction-discussing purposes. Feel free to add me :) However. I don't know much about livejournal, so there's not a lot there yet. I may need some assistance. And please don't add me just to badger me about updating ;-; At least talk about other stuff too :P

Gifted: It's kind of X-Men-ish, but it's my own plot. AU. Within the human race, there is a sub-species of people with unusual and often dangerous Gifts. Orphans Bakura and Mariku have always used their powers to get by in life, but when a diamond theft goes wrong they are caught and sent to an institute which claims it will help them gain better control of their Gifts. However, they quickly realise that the 'school' is more of a prison, where students' minds are manipulated and everyone is urged to report on everyone. Finding allies in the mute telekinetic Ryou and the disillusioned phaser Malik amongst others, they incite enough rebellion to break the cycle of brainwashing and restore the students' fighting spirit. But when not even your thoughts are secret, what escape plan could ever work? BxR, MxM Fantasy/Romance

Eternity: Yes, it's a vampire fic. But it's not the cliche or a sad 'Twilight' imitation. Ever since the death of their father at the hands of a vampire, Isis and Malik Ishtar have dedicated their lives to the work of a society for investigating the supernatural known as 'The Order'. When two 'live' vampires are captured for the first time in centuries, the siblings are thrilled to lead the study of one of them. However - Ryou isn't quite what they expected...BxR Romance/Supernatural

Baby-Doll: AU. When his art-student flat-mate Malik brings home an odd-looking ragdoll found at the art college, Bakura Touzoku only sneers at it and calls it ugly. Little does he know that the doll holds a secret more sinister than he ever imagined. As he is dragged into an unwaking nightmare and reality starts to unwind, Bakura is forced to witness the tragic story of 'Ryou', a young boy who just couldn't understand why a scarred face would make the people around him turn away so coldly...BxR, BxM Horror/Romance

Yeah, I don't know when (or even if) any of them will pop up though :P I'm actually having fun writing a little bunch of random YGO/Harry Potter one-shots right now. Not sure how well they'll go down with the general readership, though...I keep doing weird things, like putting Ryou in Slytherin xD
