Hola! Aloha! Bonjour! Jambo! Marhaba! Shalom! Hi! I'm not actually that multilingual!
If I haven't scared you away already, you have certainly earned the right to read my bio. Or asked for the torture of reading it. Same difference, right? So here we go:
My name is Leslie. If you want, you can also call me Mithy, which one of my friends decided was a fun nickname of Mithostwen to squeal while pulling my hair for good luck. I also answer to "Leek", "Riceball", my mom's name (none of the old ladies at church can keep us straight for some reason), and the names of my amigas who supposedly look like my twins.
Onto The Real Bio:
I'm an eighteen-year-old girl, and I'm off to college this fall! Eek! Anyway, my insane list of interests/activities includes: soccer, tennis, karate, learning Spanish, playing the clarinet, watching/making movies, reading, and--you guessed it--writing! I also am a former Science Olympiad nerd, though that's over now... That's so weird to think...
Some of my favorite books are Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, all Terry Pratchett stuff, Pride and Prejudice, Odd Thomas, The Princess Bride, several of the Star Wars books, Ender's Game and Ender's Shadow, and Fruits Basket. I've also come to really enjoy literature (though not necessarily ALL of it, mind you) thanks to my AP English class. I wish I could put that much depth into MY writing...
I'm totally addicted to Knights of the Old Republic I and II, RedvsBlue, Pirates of the Caribbean, and... most of the stuff I listed above. Also I'm a Christian, and not just someone who claims to be a Christian because they don't know what else to call themselves. I'm trying hard to be a better one, which I realize could take a lifetime.
I would give anything to be in a movie of any of the hundred things I'm obsessed with, but writing is the next best thing, and it's what I'm good at, so it's what I do. Not saying I don't love it--I couldn't live without writing--but how can I help but dream of being in a movie while I'm writing fanfics about it? Pictures are worth a thousand words, which take a long time to type.
One of my favorite quotes, which applies to my blonde and indecisive side amazingly well, is: "You are never really lost if you never really knew where you were going in the first place."
I would also list at least half the lines from RedvsBlue here if I was really doing a favorite quotes page, and almost that many from Juno, which only gets less because it's several hours shorter and subsequently has less hilarious dialogue by default rather than any fault of its own. So since I'm not listing any of those quotes, or any from PotC either, I've unfortunately forced myself to face the fact that I don't know why I'm telling you any of this, and as such, I will stop now.
I used to have an excuse right here about how I never, ever, ever have free time, but that ain't true now since it's summer, so YAY! I'm not totally free, of course, but I can hopefully start writin' again!
News about my poor neglected stories-- coddle, coddle, "I'm back, pobrecitos":
I posted a new story! Yay! Sound too good to be true? That would be because it ISN'T new! Mwa ha ha ha! I just recently salvaged it off our old computer, and it has come back from the dead to grace our fair site. It's a humor fic. Check it out. Or don't. Whatever, I don't have the power of Force Persuasion.
Irish Whirlwind and I were co-writing a newish story, basically re-writing Star Wars Episodes I through VI with KOTOR I & II characters instead of Luke, Leia, Vader, etc. For example, Han Solo = Atton. (I can give that one away, it's no surprise) Anyway, it's posted on her profile, but I'm not sure we'll be finishing it...
Right now, most of my energy is going into another new KOTOR II story, which I'm itching to start posting, but I don't think I will until it's a little closer to completion; the thing is going to be practically a novel. On the side, I'm also working on a shorter post-KOTOR I story, about Revan of course. But that won't be up for a while either. I know, I'm no fun.
Echoes of Light, my alternate ending to Revenge of the Sith, is complete. For those of you who are hoping for a sequel, I am really, really sorry... It's on hold, at least until I'm done with my KOTOR stories, which, I feel obligated to say could be a long, LONG time.
My creatively titled The Sith Lords Cut Ending is also complete, as well as my two other short KOTOR fics.
I was co-writing 'The End of All Eternitites' with Nallasariel the Weeper, although we haven't worked on that in ages now... It's pretty much dead.
That little poem down there? It was kind of just me trying to express what I was thinking when I wrote it, and that's all the summary it can possibly have. I did get some very nice reviews of it though, which made me very happy. I hope I made some kind of difference in your day. :-)
Survivor... Does anyone want me to post more of this? I have over 20 chapters in my notebook, but I'm not going to post them if no one's interested.
Random Junk:
You can say whatever you like about my stories in your reviews. That's what reviews are for.
Ooookkkkkkkaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy... I can't think of anything else to write, so I'll stop wasting all this space.
Adios!
P.S. And save the cows! Eat cheese! Adonai loves you!
P.P.S. Trogdor loves you too! And if that ain't inspirational, I dunno what is.
P.P.P.S. And hello to everybody I know who could be reading this! I'm not gonna list ya, but you know who you are and I love you! If I don't know you but you took the time to read all this junk, I'm sure I would love you too!
You rock my socks!
