I love words. I like listening to people speak. I like music. I love real books - ones with spines, pages to turn, and the smell that only comes from paper.

I also love to write. I write lists. I write in journals. I take notes on documentaries I watch and podcasts I listen to. My favorite type of scrapbooking paper always has patterns with words.

I write for myself. It keeps me balanced and it gives me an outlet when the world crowds in too close. If someone else happens to like what I write, I'm thrilled, but if they don't, that doesn't bother me either.

You'll see by my fics that I have a definite muse - Vin Diesel & his characters. If you don't like him, you most likely won't give my fics a chance. But you should. After all of this time, I am confident when I say that I can take his characters and make them my own. I don't always follow the movie story lines or character traits. I don't believe I totally change them but I do mold them to suit the needs of the fic.

I do not do slash. To me, that is a bastardization of the character. If any of his characters were gay, that would be one thing. But they aren't. If you really want guy on guy stuff, have the guts to write original gay porn or find fics where the characters are actually gay, but stop having Dominic bone Vince. It's stupid.

One last thing - I never require feedback but I welcome it all the same. However, if you come into my fic and are butthurt because I didn't keep Dominic with Letty, or because the characters seem like "Vin Diesel" (DUH!!), I will bite back. There are tons of articles on the `net about constructive criticism. Read them.
