My interests in regards to fanfiction are diverse: One can find movie fics like Pirates of the Caribbean or the Matrix among my favorites, side by side with novels, and even a game or two. But then again, I find that a wide range of interests is beneficial...
My most recent obsession is Pirates of the Caribbean. I am a Norrington fan: in any way, shape or form. That hasn't changed from DMC or AWE--though as of 2007 I prefer James as the Commodore from the first movie. I've developed a love for the RNOTC (Royal Navy of the Caribbean) and so my earlier POTC fics will not be continued. I can't quite bear to delete it but it's so bad I can't continue...
Aforemetioned story is the POTC ficDark Hearts, a Norrington/OC fic set after DMC, which holds as few references to potential things which could happen in the third movie as I could possible put in. It's getting started slower than I had hoped, but I'm endeavoring to update as much as possible in order to get to the interesting parts! Reviews and reads are appreciated. (UPDATE: I've decided that the historical accuracy is abysmal, and as a result I won't be continuing Dark Hearts. It makes me cringe. Besides, I'm rather fond of the Commodorial James at the moment)
My present works-in-progress include DRoP fic Another fallen angel which holds no characters from Anne McCaffrey's stories, and while mostly written, has never been updated. I don't know if I'll continue it, or just delete it. It had potential, but I grew bored with the characters.
Another DRoP fic that I'm working on is Beyond the Borders which is based on a Roleplay that I was involved in last autumn. The roleplay died, but I want to finish the story so the characters can live on. It's just going veeeeery slowly.
On the way is a short story from the DRoP universe titled I need you to love me which is a Candidate/Impression ficlet. It's not typed yet; it will be.
I'm a High School student, with an unhealthy love of writing, to the extent that it consumes my days, and devours my life -sad, I know- though that doesn't mean I'm as pitiful as I sound. I adore well written Norrington or Royal Navy fanfics, and the occasional Will/Liz story: I don't mind Jack/Liz pairings, but ONLY if it's well written. Actually, that applies for anything. I'm not too fond of Will or Elizabeth either following the third POTC movie (which, for the record, I enjoyed) My sibs and I, and a couple of friends, are in the process of making a movie. Yes, it's a pirate movie. No, it's not set in Port Royal, and no none of the characters or plot are borrowed from either of the POTC movies. Since our budget is rather limited, seeing how it turns out will be...interesting to say the least. At least the script -of which I am in charge- is well-written...cough
