5/13/08: WHERE HAS DIUS CORVUS BEEN? So I haven't written any fanfic lately, but that's because I've been trying my hand at original fiction and bending my brain around being gay. (That's right, folks, I'm coming out to you!) Those who are interested in seeing the ongoing results can come here to read 1) my most completed work, a novella of original fiction; 2) a WiP; and 3) some poetry. And as for Ashes of Time? That'll depend on how much free time I have in Germany this summer. Bis bald!
7/31/06: Happy birthday, Harry! 'Tread Softly' is completed. I will say that I might go back and do some editing and neatening, but for the most part it's finished. (The epilogue, by the way, is the single longest chapter I've ever written. The whole story approaches Goblet of Fire in length.)
8/13/05: 'Prometheus Bound' is completed. I might go back and do some editing to neaten up contradictions and paradoxes, but for the most part it's finished.
. . . A man who does not exist,
A man who is but a dream;
And cried, 'Before I am old
I shall have written him one
poem maybe as cold
And passionate as the dawn.'
Yeats, "The Fisherman"
About me: I'm a male college student who wholeheartedly agrees with Tennessee Williams: writing is not a happy profession. But it's something I can hardly imagine not doing. My stories would not be half as good without the help of Procyon Black, who has written some excellent fics as well (which you should read).
For those of a multilingual nature: here is Tread Softly in Chinese, translated by the inestimable Arumik. Chapters 1-8 can be found here; chapters 9-13 here; and chapters 14-18 here. The entire translation, along with translations of other stories, can be found at Arumik's blog, here. More recently, here is the story in French, as translated by Elaine. It looks beautiful, though I don't understand a word of it.
