Author has written 1 story for Ragnarok Online.

Age: 18
Gender: Female
Nationality: English
Interests: Uh...Well, writing for one. Music for another. And drawing for another. Music's a fairly big thing. I've been playing the violin for quite a large portion of my life, and I started singing a couple of years ago. I do have perfect pitch... Well, writing, music, and drawing, those are my uh... big three, as it were. Oh, I do like anime. Excel Saga, Mahoromatic, Dirty Pair Flash, Boogiepop Phantom, Last Exile, Chrono Crusade... I'm currently reading Tsubasa and xxxHolic (the latter probably being my favourite).
Favourite games: Fatal Frame/Project Zero... whatever, Tales of Symphonia (most favourite game ever, love it so much), Metal Gear Solid (loved the first though on closer inspection it is quite invariably silly, second disappointed in a few too many places and was very silly, third was fabulous though a little silly at times -- although there was this really excellent thing, when you kill the bosses, they just explode; they don't suddenly think, 'Oh, I'm about to die, I'd better tell this person my life story,'), Soul Calibur (first one is superior, third one is drool-enducing), Ouendan (it's so funny~ Though I did do a great deal of pain to my thumb doing Ready Steady Go on cheergirl mode...), Dynasty Warriors, Ragnarok Online, Guild Wars...

Cameos (sort of... I think that's the word for it):
I have made a few references to various other things in the God's Cry, mainly just through names. There will probably be more. I'll explain away the ones I can think of...

Excel and Hyatt This is more just of names rather than in their actual personalities. Excel and Hyatt are the ACROSS agents around who the story of Excel Saga centres around. Hyatt dies continually, so the alchemist I named after her is in frighteningly bad health. However, Chisel's sister Excel is not at all like Excel Excel -- Excel in Excel Saga is supposed to be the epitome of hard work and/or loyalty, and my Excel obviously isn't. Otherwise she'd probably be the main character XD

Twin Shrine Maidens Gonryun is said to kept floating by "the blessing of the Twin Shrine Maidens". This is a Zero II: Crimson Butterfly reference. The Crimson Ritual formed a great basis of the game's story, and it was the Twin Shrine Maidens who carried it out.

Hara and Alder This is a reference to an Ursula le Guin book -- can't remember what it was called, something like The Other Wind, though I did enjoy it and it was the first of hers I read. One of the characters in that book, his true name was Hara, and his alias was Alder. He was constantly being summoned to the land of the dead.

Magnus Exorcismus Unlike all the other spells I make up, this one doesn't use nonsense words for the incantation. The words are Latin, and the whole thing means:
Dies irae, dies illa Days of wrath, that day
solvet saeclum in favilla will dissolve the earth in ashes
teste David cum Sybilla. as David and the Sibyl bear witness.
Quantus tremor est futurus What dread there will be
quando Judex est venturus cuncta stricte discusurus. when the judge shall come to judge all things strictly.
Lacrymosa dies illa Mournful that day
qua resurget ex favilla when from the dust
judicandus homoreus. shall rise guilty man to be judged.
Pie Jesu, Domine Merciful Jesu, Lord,
dona eis requiem aeternam. grant them eternal rest.
Obviously, I can't speak Latin; I took the words from the Requiem prayer.

Kyrie Eleison The words for the Kyrie Eleison spell also come from the Requiem prayer.
De profundo lacu From the bottomless pit
libera me de ore leonis, deliver me from the lion's mouth
ne cadam in obscurum, lest I fall into darkness
ne absorbeat me Tartarus. and the black abyss swallow me up.

Grand Cross I was originally going to have this in gibberish, but then thought better of it, being that crusaders are, in fact, a holy order. Again, the words are from the Requiem prayer, though when it was used in the story the character whose point of view I was narrating through translated it in his head.
Agnus Dei Behold the Lamb of God
qui tollis peccata mundi that taketh away the sins of the world,
misere nobis,
have mercy on us,
exaudi orationem mean; hear my prayer;
ad te omnis caro veniet. unto thee all flesh shall come.
Mors supebit et natura Death and Nature will be astonished
cum resurget creatura Judicanti responsura. when all Creation arises to answer to the Judge.
Nil inultum remanebit. Nothing will remain unavenged.
Lux perpetua luceat eis; May perpetual light shine upon them;
Juste judex ultionis, Just and avenging Judge,
dona eis requiem aeternam. grant them eternal rest.
This version isn't yet written in; it's part of the revision process, which will probably come along within the next couple of weeks.

The Dark Priests Well, not necessarily them especially, but the first of their kind was called Nebilim. I'm afraid I love Tales of Symphonia so much I couldn't resist slipping in a reference. You don't actually meet him; you're supposed to wander around collecting the Devil's Arms, which contain his will, so that a guy called Abyssion can seal them. Abyssion tricks you and ressurects Nebilim instead, and you get to fight the hardest boss in the game (at least in the Game Cube version. They added another for the Play Station II one). So original guildmaster = Nebilim, current guildmaster = Abyssion. The one before Abyssion was called Aduro, which has absolutely no connection to Tales of Symphonia whatsoever; apparently it's Latin for 'burn'.

Calender The calender in the God's Cry is Celtic. It's a lunar calender: thirteen months which begin and end with the full moon, and each has a corresponding tree. All the months are Beth (Birch), Luis (Rowan), Nuin (Ash), Fearn (Alder), Saille (Willow), Uath (Hawthorn), Duir (Oak), Tinne (Holly), Coll (Hazel), Muin (Vine), Gort (Ivy), Ngetal (Reed) and Ruis (Elder). They also celebrate beginnings and turns of seasons, which are Pagan Rites. Imbolg celebrates the beginning of spring; Beltane celebrates the beginning of summer; Midsummer celebrates the height of summer (it's also Hawk's birthday); Lughnasa celebrates the beginning of autumn; Samhain is basically Halloween; and Yule is the middle of winter. Ho ho.

Guerre te Muladi This is cropping up more and more. The te Muladi bit is made-up, but Guerre is just French for war.

I'm afraid I've gone and got myself a livejournal, as I thought it may be better equipped to describe my progress.

I highly recommend the authors in my favourite's list. Seriously!

The world of Midgard is changing. People are beginning to question why, and they find malice more and more often. Its wish and obligation is destruction, and its target is the world of humans. [under revision]
