UPDATE 12/29/2008

so...it seems that its been a while since i posted anything here. i'd be embarrased, but lack of posting does not equal lack of writing. i've simply been lurking around other sites. however, with one of them having gone down recently, it has impressed upon me the need to have multiple repositories of fiction. so, my transformers fiction--which has been carefully kept only on transformers sites and my livejournal will be slowly moving over here as well.

FEAR NOT! this does not mean that i've abandoned my final fantasy and kingdom hearts writing. its just slowed down signifiganly. like i tell my brother, i can only afford one obsession at a time and transformers is it right now. but everything comes full circle; i'll be back to the FF and KH fandoms soon enough.

Thanks to everyone who faved or commented on my shortfics "Family" and "Stargazing". i have taken down the single installments and placed them in chronological chapter order with "Forward Momentum" where they belonged. the rest of the series can be found there as well--including three ficbits that i didn't publish here previously.

As of today, Jan. 21, 2007, all my single interludes have been deleted. they are all compiled in their series "anthology" versions now, and can be found by game rather than character. thanks to all my wonderful reviewers on these ficlets; i've kept all your reviews and re-reading them made me feel warm inside. i also apologize to everyone who had them faved or in their C2 archives, but things were just getting too cluttered for me.

here, let me put in some blurbs (that's such a fun word)about what i'm doing with my fics currently. i can give you a much better summary here than in the summary slot on the description page.

STORIES is a multi part fiction that i'm modifying from its origonal format to include all the characters from Final Fantasy X. it starts 10 years before the game, at the begining of the Calm (or in Rikku's case, just before that) and continues on through the game. The story comes in what i'm calling branches. Each branch deals with a different set of characters. Rikku's is the only solo character story, but then, she was the only main character that didn't spend a decade with at least one other main character from the game. you can read one branch or all of them, i don't really care. but some things will end up making more sense if you read them all. As characters join the main group, the branches will start joining. There will be a new story in the series when things like that start happening, so everyone will know. All of the stories are going to be written in first person perspective. Series is rated R for mentions of drug and alcohol use among minors, violence and (potentially, i haven't decided yet) sex. (NOT LEMONS YOU PERVS! i don't write those!) Curently on haitis due to writer's block in a big way.

FULLY REFUNDED is how i would have started out Season Five of Angel. Even tho i have the story posted as a Buffy the vampire slayer story (which it is.) the fic is actually more of a crossover. i stole some ideas and characters from the book series and the comic book series to use in my fic (Thanks to Chris Golden for those, by the way!) It deals with Spike's death, subsequent ressurrection, and how everyone deals with that, and buffy's relationship with him. includes the obligotary fight scene with spike and angel. (but only one, unlike some fics i've read) its a little complicated at first. Lots of time and perspective shifts, but i was trying out a new writing format. Rated R because of alcohol use, violence, sex, and murder. (Currently on hiatus so that i can re-watch season seven to get some details right and so that i can wrap up some other projects.)

FREE AS A BIRD is my firsttribute to Final Fantasy 8. The summary in the little blurb on the post page really tells it all. i'm having a bit of trouble writing this one just now, tho so progress is slow. The rating shouldn't ever exceed PG-13 and that will be because of language and a prison fight or two. could prolly be rated G otherwise.

I CAME BACK FOR YOU is a Final Fantasy 9 story, dealing with Dagger, Zidane and the results of a relationship she had post-game. Rated R for spousal abuse and sex. (Complete, but awaiting sequel)

LOSS AND LONGING is a poem i wrote as a tribute to those of us who've lost someone we loved very much. i won't name names as to who its about tho, cause i want you to make your own interperations, but i did have a specific FFX charater in mind when i wrote it. Rated G, cause anyone could deal with it, but its so darn depressing that most kids wouldn't understand it. this has been removed from the site so that i can have it publised in a real poetry anthology after a tweek or two. thanks for all the readings and reviews! actually, i put it back up today (oct. 10, 2005) because it was too long to submit! i'll have to go find something else!

SUNRISE SHERBET is my contribution to the yuffitine shippers out there. (of which i am one, thank you very much) takes place during and post game, but does not truly include an FF7 rewrite. there may or may not be a lemony-fresh version up on adult fanfiction.net when this is done. it was with a great sense of accomplishment that i changed the story status on this one to complete on 6/11/2006.

INTERLUDES is a series of ficlets focusing on one character's thoughts on a particular subject. involving main and secondary characters, the series spans all the final fantasy universe. currently covering stories in the FF 4, 7, 10, & 10-2 eras with more on the way. Now including Kingdom Hearts as well!

ALL SHE COULDN'T HAVE is a yuffie-centric yuffie x vincent fic that takes place several years post game. she picks him up one night during a storm, and a night in the inn of rocket town leads to much angsty goodness. a lemon version of this will eventually be available on adult fanfiction.net. Complete

EVERYTHING HE WANTED is the companion piece to All She Couldn't Have. it explains a lot of the backstory that was mentioned in the first story. its vincent-centric and a bit more angsty (of course!). a lemon version of this will also eventually be up on adult fanfiction.net. Complete.

TAKEN is this really dark fic that came to me one day at work. not finished yet, but i have tons of story arc plotted out alread. when someone close to him dies, Irvine must find a way to move on with his life and help find out who's trying to sabotage the Gardens. there's more to it than that, but if i say more, it will give waaaaaay too much away. Has become an indirect (but chronological) sequel to Free As A Bird.

VALENTINE is the story that wasn't supposed to exist. its the direct sequel to All She Couldn't Have and Everything He Wanted. its set sixteen years after the first two stories and focusesYuffie and Vincent's Son, Valentine. when yuffie tells Val the truth about his father, he goes an a quest to find Vincent. but from the first stop in his adventure on, he gets more than he bargained for. (and a warning for any homophobes out there: Valentine is gay. if this bothers, don't read this story.)

SOMETIMES FATE'S A...pretty nice lady, acutally. this is a fic about reno (and rude and elena) and how most-everyone's-favorite-Turk met that wife that gets mentioned in chp 6 of Valentine. not going to be overly long, but will be fun, i hope.

Also, i've apparantly created an alternate universe (affectionately know as an AU) revolving around the world that Everything He Wanted, All She Couldn't Have, and Valentine take place in. i have two more stories in this universe that will be up soon (like by 10-16-2005 soon). one is elena x tseng, post meteor (enjoy, ezzy!) and the other is about the Turks, specifically Reno and his lady (an origonal character). its so much fun! i like having my own little pseudo-ff7 world to play in!

HEARTLILY is my first kingdom hearts piece. and, an unusual one at that. it follows rinoa, after she somehow escapes hollow bastion, on her (short) quest to find squall. also features sora, some of the dalmations, cloud and phil. also, its written in the present tense, so the read might be a little strange. its not cannon at all, as depicted by events in kingdom hearts 2, but i see no reason to change it or edit anything. tho i may play with the idea of a rinoa nobody later...

LOSS AND LONGING is exactly what the blurb on the main story list page says. its a poem about losing someone dear and the emotions attached to that. it doesn't focus on any one specific character. in fact its very interprational (hope i spelled that right) and could be about any characters you want it to be. when i wrote it, i envisioned yuna at the window. But when i re-read it, i envisioned young auron, and later i saw paine from ffx-2. you decide who its about.

WHERE DO YOU GO is my little contribution to the auron x rikku fandom. i freely admit that i'm a shipper there, but the actual fic i have started for that fandom will probably neverget finished, so here's this poem instead. besides i think it sums up the emotions there more completely than i could in the story anyway.

ALREADY GONE is an admittedly anit-rinoa ff8 piece. i'm considering extending it a little later, but i'm just not sure.

NIGHT SHIFT is my first Rude/Elena fic. i can't say i'm a shipper, but when the turks fc over on deviant art issued a contest where one of the turks writes a love letter to elena confessing his true feelings, this just popped into my head.

FORWARD MOMENTUM was another contest entry piece, but it actually won! its just a short, slightly angsty piece about cloud, post AC. it could use and extension on some concepts, but i really don't want to rewrite a contest winning piece, you know? the fleshing out of the concept of the piece is a constantly occuring thing right now, contained in the stories Family, Wedding Day, Costumes, and Stargazing. the arc still isn't finished, tho, so keep watching! as of mar 21 '08, these stories all became contained in one entry and the seperate shortfics were deleted.

MAD SEASON is the sequel to a fic that i still have in the works about vincent and my OC skye bonner. it was yet another contest piece at deviantart--this time for the immortal valentine club. i didn't win the contest with it, but it got a ton of positive feedback, so i'm well pleased with it. and for the flamers who want to know, no, its not a self-insert/mary sue. skye is a well defined, fleshed out character who is only like me as much as any of my origonal characters are ever like me--very tiny, not really noticable ways.

and finally: Demon's Bane/Demon's Bane Rewrite, my first attempt at a Hellsing fic. i really dont' know how to describe it yet, but i'll figure out something once i've sat on it for a while. on hiatus while i figure out where exactly i stand in hellsing fandom now. may never be finished.
