Welcome to the newly-improved bio of Touya! The old one was... well, old. And I didn't like it anymore. So here's some NEW stuff to go along with who I am today.
First of all, a little about me!
Birthday: February 22 (3:33 PM, which makes me born on 2/22 at 3:33!)
Age: ...15 (as a note, NEARLY ALL of the stories here were written when I was younger, so please don't judge my writing skill on them. I am REALLY a lot better of a writer since then)
Gender: Female
Real Name: ...Okay, I gave you the age, but I'll keep my name for later. Just call me Touya, okay?
Favorite TV Show: Of all time? Actually, sadly, I have three. I can't choose. American Idol, Grey's Anatomy, and Naruto. They're just all so DIFFERENT, so it's hard to pick the best!
Favorite Book: SINGLE book? My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult
Favorite Book Series: Oh, Harry Potter, hands down. (4/8/08- Still HP, but I'm in LOVE with the Twilight series!!) 8/4/08- It's official. It's now a tie between HP and Twilight. So high-five to Twilight!
Favorite Movie: Oh, that's hard. But to be honest, I'm really going to have to pick National Treasure. It WOULD be Brokeback Moutain if the ending hadn't been so depressing! Also, as a side note, I LOVE musicals (IF they're done right!) Hairspray, Dreamgirls, Grease, Across the Universe, Sound of Music, High School Musical... (Yes, I'm very sad to admit, I really do LOVE the HSM series- though I'm in typical skeptic mode for number 3 (I am always HYPER skeptical about sequels- I always think they're going to ruin the first- that and movies based on my favorite books...)) And those are just the MOVIE musicals!
Favorite Song: 8/4/08- Changed from "Breakaway" by Kelly Clarkson to "One Step at a Time" by Jordin Sparks. I'm sorry, I've just fallen in love with it, and it totally suits me!
Favorite Pairings: Oh, here's the part everyone always dreads, but reads anyway, because for some reason, it's so important to them to know if the author likes all the pairings the author likes! It's psychotic! But I do it, too! People get so... touchy about their pairings. Seriously. Take a look at the Harry Potter fandom. The Ron/Hermione and Harry/Hermione clans... scary!
But anyway, here are my favorite pairings, as well as the ones that I don't like to admit to reading, but I do anyway...
Naruto:
Sasuke/Sakura - I really think they're meant to be. She's probably the only one who can understand him.
Shikamaru/Ino - Dude, seriously. Whether or not you agree that Ino likes him back, the poor guy SO has a crush on her! It's OBVIOUS!
Naruto/Hinata - This one's not as important to me as the top two, but I like it. It's sweet.
Neji/Tenten - Okay, honestly. Absolutely no particular reasoning on MY part, but that's TWO of my well-respected fanfic authors (gotta give a shout-out here to Mizerable and Little Minamino!) who have put them together. It was Mizerable who finished it off for me, but the two together... Well, let's just say I like it now.
Now, for the... sigh... YAOI pairings...
Naruto/Sasuke - SHOULD NOT HAPPEN IN THE SERIES. SASUKE AND SAKURA ARE MEANT TO BE. But it's just... a really interesting pairing to read in the hands of a good writer.
Naruto/Gaara - Okay. I need to talk about this one. I used to have this rule about "I-don't-like-the-pairing-if-it's-Gaara/Anybody." And THEN I read this ONE story by Enkidu (go to her homepage -it's in the b-day fic section- it's too, uh, adult to describe here) and somehow I just got it. Once again, won't happen in the series, but this one... Come on. Look at the facts. Look at the manga. If things were different (and I'm not talking "If-Gaara-or-Naruto-was-a-girl" here, I mean, if this wasn't the kind of manga that just didn't DO that (and if it didn't completely break character on Naruto's part)) this could totally happen! The whole "they're-the-only-ones-who-understand-each-other" parts... No? Okay, whatever. Just let me keep delusioning myself.
As far as Harry Potter ships go, it's all cannon. I had no pairing for Harry until Ginny came around, and Ron/Hermione was a give for me in book TWO (which kind of scares me, because JKR clearly stated she put no hints in that book, so I was seeing imaginary hints, apparently.) I do think Neville/Luna is sweet, but when JKR canceled it, I wasn't upset. Didn't matter to me (actually, I never considered it UNTIL she canceled it- I just thought it would have been cute afterward.) Neville/Hannah is fine by me. Lupin/Tonks makes me smile, even if I thought it came out of NOWHERE when I first read it in book six. I don't read ANYTHING that breaks James/Lily, ESPECIALLY, as a Sirius fan, Sirius/Lily. Okay, this needs a rant.
