About Me:
22 years old. Law student (ugh) who would prefer to be a writer.
I believe passionately in love. I am one of those saps who believes in true love, soulmates and destiny. I have but one goal for my life: find someone I want to share it with that will let me love them until it hurts. I know this is probably a terrible rip-off of a much better quote, but my belief in love can be summed up by: "Do not settle for anything less than passionate, all-encompassing, all-consuming love. There are too many things in this world that are ordinary. Love shouldn't be one of them."
I am currently writing a YA fantasy book, which my friends have become addicted to. At some point I would love to have book published, but I realize that it probably won't happen with my current writing (but I do fantasize about it). Anybody interested in hearing about my writing is encouraged to PM me. I love to talk to other YA writers and get reader's opinions
I'm trying to keep my book under wraps, but I am willing to send the premise and first chapter of it to anyone who is curious. PM me to see it.
Book update for those who care - 7/31/08: FINISHED (but unedited) !! Word count without edits: 97,773. Still untitled, but toying with possible titles in my head.
My Obsession:
Twilight, Twilight, Twilight. I'm Edward/Bella until death. It actually depresses me sometimes when I think that I would actually give up my mortality and my life in a heartbeat to be with Edward, but since he's a fictional character I won't ever have that chance.
Stephenie Meyer is truly goddess divine for creating such a wonderful, engrossing storyline that has hooked so many readers. I only wish I had that kind of talent for writing.
I'm counting the days until Twilight movie in November (squeee!). No really, I have a countdown clock on my computer desktop. I've hooked several other people, but none of them to the depth of my obsession. I feel like a 12 year old squealing fangirl whenever I think about Twilight and it doesn't embarrass me in the slightest.
My Interests in FanFic:
I read fanfic for one simple reason: the stuff Stephenie wouldn't put in the books. cough sex cough Thus I tend to gravitate towards the smuttier stuff, much to my embarrassment. I have developed an interest in All-Human fic, probably because everything seems so much easier for sex-related stuff.
Things I will never read or probably write about:
- Edward never came back
- Bella picks Jacob
- Bella and/or Edward cheats on the other
- Bella dies, Edward is heartbroken
- Stories that take place in another time/era (Ex: Bella is a princess in peril and Edward is a knight who saves her)
- Edward/other characters. NEVER GONNA HAPPEN!
- 99 percent of stories where Bella gets pregnant by vampire Edward (Grrrr, Stephenie)
- Bella is raped/abused/scarred/tormented
My Writings:
I write most often late at night which is why there are often blatant errors and some stuff that I later revise.
For most of my life I've suffered from low self-esteem and my writing is no different. Every review I get, every hit to my stories that registers, is unbelievably thrilling to me. I honestly cannot believe how many good things people have to say about my pieces and my style.
I'm not one of the writers that can crank out chapters nonstop. I have to think about where I'm going, reflect on where I've been and carefully examine possible methods of getting there. I feel that this manner of writing produces higher quality final products.
I love to hear from people who enjoy my writing. If you could only see the kind of smile I get when I get a great message from someone. It's Emmett-sized!
Review Policy:
I'm personally not a big reviewer, so don't expect me to leave a lengthy review on anything you write unless I'm particularly moved by it. If I like something, I add it to my alert or favorite list. If I REALLY like something, I'll consider leaving a review.
For reviews I receive, I read each and every single one of them. I wish I could reply to all of them, but I sadly do not have the time to. If you ask a question or point out a plot hole, I'm much more likely to get back to you. If it's just "I loved it!", I'm probably just going to smile and appreciate it in silence. Please don't be offended if you don't receive a reply to your review.
Awards and Such:
Thanks to everybody who supported "Across the Airwaves" at The Twilight Awards! All your votes and kind words were amazing!
Thank you everybody who voted for "Dualism" in Jayeliwood's Sexy Edward Contest! I really appreciate the support and because of it, "Dualism" won third place! Yay! To see my banner I received, click here.
Hangouts and Shoutouts:
When I'm not in class, reading or writing, I hang out at the All-Human board over at Twilighted.net with my favorite smut lovers. There's several threads dedicated to my stories. Come on over and join in the craziness, though I warn you that your mind will never be the same.
To my favorite and bestest buddy ever: manyafandom, to whom I can never express my thanks. Babe, you're the greatest and words cannot express what I feel for you. So near, yet so far. Always wanting more.
