Nostalgia time: Something around seven years ago, little Rebecca, clad in all black, opened a fanfiction.net account to launch her career as a published writer.
Today, Rebecca is a sophomore in college. Her only published works include two newspaper opinion pieces, but damn good ones - one about why the marijuana policies at the University of Maryland are unfair and disproportionate to the crime, and the other about how victim-blaming affects rape survivors and the fine line between taking precautions and self-blame. She studies English and Environmental Science. Someday she will be a published fiction and poetry writer, mark my words.
Rebecca still fantasizes about walking the halls of Hogwarts, and her fantasies are now enhanced by the possibility of running into the fruity headmaster.
Rebecca chose her pen name based on the borealis, her oldest stepsister's name, and her own middle name/the highly literary to the point where it's cliche flower. Aurora Lynn Rose was an animated and engaging personality during a time when Rebecca herself was working hard to trust people and express herself outside the "safety" of the internet. Rebecca's pretty much awesome, and loves that ALR is a part of her. Maybe she will post something new someday.
