My name is David Osborn (smugly satisfied to be the original Ozzy on
FF.net. Guess it comes with being here for so damn long), I'm a 19 year
old Irish student, doing science at UCDublin. Once every other year I
make forrays into writing fanfiction (note the post dates), though this
might become more frequent now that I'm in University and have more
time on my hands (second level was hard, third level isn't). My
interests are science and acedemic stuff of the like. Heavy metal is my
music, and drinking in rock bars and meeting chicks with tattoos is on
my agenda. I'm secretly (or not so much so now that I'm doing science)
a geek.
My stories; what's the story?
DBZ fics
are old news, I won't be doing anymore. Back in 01 I loved that show,
but the very thought of it today just pisses me off. The fics are crap
that only kids would like, and I've even considered removing them, but
that would be hiding from my past.
My HP fic is done
for now. I had meant it to be long, but I lost interest. By amazing
coincidence, it actually works out where I left it and can be
considered complete. I'll probably do more HP when the last book comes
out.
Buffy is the lastest forray. What the future
brings is my proudest acheivement and the jewel in my crown. I love
Buffy and Angel (being a grand master in both-I own every episode of
both on tape), and the fanfiction is cool. I love dark, adult stuff.
I've so far found exactly 4 Buffy fics that are good enough to read the
whole way through and remember well (only one of which I've read
repeatedly), but I keep looking despite my very picky standards.
Some of my favourite quotes:
"Drugs have the ability to produce mania and hysteria in people who don't take them"- A beatle (can't remember which one)
"The best argument against democracy is a 5 minute talk with the average voter" -Winston Chruchill
"I like your Christ. I do not like your christians; they are so unlike your Christ." - Gandhi
"Either that wallpaper goes or I do!" - Oscar Wilde on his deathbed
"I wouldn't want to be a memeber of any club that would have me."- Groucho Marx
