First off: I did not make this picture. Vbrevolution did and the site is here: http://vbrevolution.deviantart.com/art/True-Feeling-34406847
Current News from the Masamune:
Everyone should see Hellboy II.
Sephiroth fangirls, especially. How can you go wrong with a beautiful, white-haired villain with l33t fighting skilz?
I am half in love.
So, here’s the thing. With the conclusion of my conclusion, I want to embark on a new writing venture, but this time, I want the freedom to create my own setting, and my own canon. Unfortunately, looking at the stack of unfinished novels and idea-scraps that have littered my life for over a decade, I honestly don’t know if I can finish a full-length anything without the help of a community of readers, devoted or otherwise, who will tell me I’ve done well, or poorly, or threaten harm to my physical person should I fail to produce a chapter. Right now, one person who I met here on ff.net has told me that she absolutely loves the introductory idea I have for a new romance novel. It’s a fanfic, but it’s a fanfic that is far enough afield from canon to make me feel comfortable calling it “mine.” When I finish, a few changes to names and perhaps wardrobes should be enough to send this puppy off to round up a few rejection letters. (The rejection letter mill doesn’t grind itself, after all.)
The bloody thing has already proven a great deal more difficult than I had initially imagined, but if you are someone who, for some unfathomable reason, wants to watch me flounder through another eighty-thousand words, you are welcome to contact me to get added to my “reader-list.” I kind of want to keep the number of readers fairly small, say 10-15 people, so I am going to ask for some contact information from you, because I need you to understand that, should you try to abscond with any or all of my countless hours of painstaking work, I reserve the right to do everything in my power to hurt you. Badly. For a long time. And bear in mind there will be other people on the list, who will (hopefully) testify on my behalf.
Thoughts on the Stories Here:
Deathbinders: I meant to only post this for a couple of weeks, while I revamped it as an original story and tried to sell it. But somehow, this little one-shot has become the most popular thing I've written. Geez. Beware of Edward-fangirls... Anyways, some people liked it so much that I felt like I really shouldn't take it down, so there it still is. Currently the most-favorited story I have, and by far the single chapter with the most reviews.
People have asked me how I thought up the idea for the actual bindings and it goes a little something like this: The Quileute Indians have a traditional blanket made of woven dog hair. (Seems like an all around terrible idea given the weather. A dog hair blanket sounds like something that you wouldn't want to get wet.) Also, in Bram Stoker's Dracula, it was not only the garlic bulbs that had the power to frighten away vampires. Van Helsing once prevented Dracula from draining his victim by filling the room with garlic blossoms. So there you go. Woven (werewolf) hair and garlic blossoms. Keeps those cold, nasty nippers pinned.
Dream of Me: I really should apologize for disappearing, and for dragging this out for so long. I just don't think that anyone can imagine how reluctant I am to actually finish this piece. I love it more than anyone has a right to love any fiction story, and I wish I could go on writing it forever. In lieu of that, I have been simply writing very, very slowly. Still, I hope to have the rest posted soon.
Pairings of Interest to Me:
Aeris X Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII (Always and Forever.)
Alita X Chaos from Battle Angel Alita
Sou X Ichijo from After School Nightmare
Oh, and maybe I should mention this, too: I am a published author with a short story and a poems printed and I also have a B.A. in Writing & Literature. I mention this not because I want you to think I'm great, but because it might induce you to read my writing, which, IMHO, isn't too bad-- paltriness of this profile page notwithstanding.
