Favorite Quote: "I see Barsad, and Cly, Defarge, The Vengeance, the Juryman, the Judge, long ranks of the new oppressors who have risen on the destruction of the old, perishing by this retributive instrument, before it shall cease out of its present use. I see a beautiful city and a brilliant people rising from this abyss, and, in their struggles to be truly free, in their triumphs and defeats, through long years to come, I see the evil of this time and of the previous time of which this is the natural birth, gradually making expiation for itself and wearing out.

"I see the lives for which I lay down my life, peaceful, useful, prosperous and happy, in that England which I shall see no more. I see Her with a child upon her bosom, who bears my name. I see her father, aged and bent, but otherwise restored, and faithful to all men in his healing office, and at peace. I see the good old man, so long their friend, in ten years' time enriching them with all he has, and passing tranquilly to his reward.

"I see that I hold a sanctuary in their hearts, and in the hearts of their descendants, generations hence. I see her, an old woman, weeping for me on the anniversary of this day. I see her and her husband, their course done, lying side by side in their last earthly bed, and I know that each was not more honoured and held sacred in the other's soul, than I was in the souls of both.

"I see that child who lay upon her bosom and who bore my name, a man winning his way up in that path of life which once was mine. I see him winning it so well, that my name is made illustrious there by the light of his. I see the blots I threw upon it, faded away. I see him, fore-most of just judges and honoured men, bringing a boy of my name, with a forehead that I know and golden hair, to this place-- then fair to look upon, with not a trace of this day's disfigurement --and I hear him tell the child my story, with a tender and a faltering voice.

"It is a far, far better thing that I do, than I have ever done; it is a far, far better rest that I go to than I have ever known."

~Charles Dickens (1812–1870), British novelist. Sydney Carton in A Tale of Two Cities, Part 3, ch. 15, p. 15 (1859).

--------------------------------------------

There's been a change in me, a kind of moving on,
Though what I used to be, I still depend upon.
For now I realize that good can come from bad.
That may not make me wise, but, oh, it makes me glad!

And I--I never thought I'd leave behind my childhood dreams.
But I don't mind, for now I love the world I see.
No change in heart--a change in me.

For in my dark despair, I slowly understood
My perfect world out there had disappeared for good.
But in its place I feel a truer life begin.
And it's so good and real, it must come from within!

And I--I never thought I'd leave behind my childhood dreams.
But I don't mind, I'm where and who I want to be.
No change of heart--a change in me.

No change of heart--a change in me.

~Belle in Disney's Beauty and the Beast: The Broadway Musical (1998).

About Me:
I went to three different high schools, one in Italy, one in Texas, and one in North Carolina. According to my sister, the only place (within the United States of America) I can function properly is New York City. She says that is so diverse and stress that it would make me 'normal'. I must admit now that I am not the most friendly person in the world. lI don't like to be around be. My biggest problem is I'm a loner. All I've ever wanted to be is a forensic pathologist/BSL-4 virologist. How many little girls tell their parents that death fascinates them. I'm a big fan of the theatre, any type. My favorite musicals are Sweeny Todd, RENT, and WICKED. My favorite colours are black, blue, brown, and green. If I died today, my biggest regret would be never entering the United Nations Building.

5. Four Friends Divided reviews
I don't own anything. This came to me from the quote, “A house divided against itself cannot stand.” This really isn't about the quote, unless you think about how friends divided cannot live.

6. The story of a breakdown reviews
I don't own anything. This is a response to fanfiction I read where the detectives are bashing Casey. It involvs a character I created, Josephine Lily "Joey" Cabot, Alex's twiggy, brunette twin.

7. Dear Diary reviews
I don't own anything. I thought I would dive into the brain of the ADA everyone loves to hate. I was debating the rating. I think plenty of 13-15 year-olds feel like this sometimes. Please tell me if you think the rating should go up.

8. You’re Innocent When You Dream reviews
This is one of those meaningless, late night drabbles that happens after listening to the Crossing Jordan soundtrack. I hope it makes sense. I think its obvious who it's about, but you are free to assume it's about whoever you like.

9. Letter to the replacement reviews
I'm a big fan of Casey, because she has some of the stupidest lines on the show. I thought it would be nice if Alex's sister wrote a letter to an old friend before her first day of work. This actually started as an LIT-1100 assignment.

10. Slam! » reviews
I don't own any thing. Aimee is a lowly lab tech whom Ryan is interested in. The title sucks as much as the 100-word drabble. I'm sorry. Read if you're interested. Please comment. 2nd part skips stuff i'll add later.

13. It's just another cut reviews
Rating may go down. I don't own anything. I left names out so that you could decide who's thoughts these are. Its a sucky 100-word dabble. If you leave a comment, tell me who you think it should be.

I do not own any part of CSI:MIAMI. This is a Calleigh fic, of course. It mentions things that are not PG. If you think my rating is wrong, leave me a message. Thank-you.

15. You better tell her the truth because I hate you reviews
I don't own anything. I view this as kind of funny because someone tells Horatio they hate him. This is a 250 word drabble that I'm thinking about turning into a longer fic eventually. Not sure of the final rating so I'll make it PG-13 for now.

20. A Poem for Tim reviews
The characters don't belong to me. This is a poem written from Calleigh's point of view after she finds out the Speed has gotten himself involved with gangs and drugs. The poem is kind of personal for me so please critize as much as you like.

21. Calleigh's Nightmare reviews
I do not own any of these characters. I am a frequent traveler in the nightmare lands. Well a friend of mine thought it would be a great idea to create a CSI:MIAMI fan fiction out of my nightmares. Note: Calleigh's a brunette in this nightmare.
