I happen to teach writing for a living, so I guess it's only fitting that I should also enjoy doing it. I've dabbled in a few TV shows for fanfiction, but I seem to circle back to Harry Potter a lot. I like the books as well as the films, just in different ways. It's impossible for me not to see the movie characters when I read or write about the books, so I guess my fiction is a good blend of both universes. I think the best part of writing fan fiction in the writer-reader interaction. My stories are always very influenced by my readers' responses as they progress.
