Author has written 99 stories for Young Riders, Stargate: SG-1, Hercules, Sailor Moon, Highlander, Invisible Man, CSI, CSI: Miami, CSI: New York, and StarTrek: Enterprise.

Politics are over! Hip-hip-hooray! No more slander ads! No more I'm better than he/she ads! It's like going through a root canal and when you get to the other end, the morphine really kicks in...

And I finally got to catch up on shows this week. Wow. For a minute there I thought they were going to rid Adam and that would have been sad. He's the butter on the biscuit, so to speak. Not sure what to make of Miami. And are they ramping up to bid Grissom adieu or what? Geeze oh Pete! Sara Connor Chronicles wasn't too bad, Bones was amusing, and I missed Pushing Daisies. But hey, when all else fails, there's always the fail safe show -- Mythbusters! Right? Not so much. Everything was rather uninspiring this week safe CSI: NY. Guess even shows have bad moods?

11/7/2008

Yea! Back to The Rules. Ya know, I was able to assimilate Riley in, but when Grissom departs, that's going to be just weird. Oh well. Life changes, so do shows. I just hope the change doesn't kill the series! That would be sad.

Since we're in the midst of political b.s., you gotta check this out: Eads Looks Totally Like Young McCain

After accidentally deleting a story when I meant to delete the script version, and getting told this whole story / script listing is very confusing, I made a new pen name, aptly named Rheas Scripts... However, a new policy apparently prohibits posting to new names for 48 hours -- damn spammers! As soon as thats up, if'n you're a script lover, they'll be moved to the new ID.

I like CSi:NY mostly because I think Gary Sinise is nice eye candy. Not that the other guys and gals aren't but I've always thought he was hot. Crazy personal preference.

Another like of mine is 'The Sims.' I can literally waste an entire day playing the game and not give a care in the world. It's come a long way since the original game. The characters are a lot more animated and do funny things.

So I'm watching CSi:NY this week and they were in this holographic room (very Star Trek of them) that they can view bodies in for various reason - radiation this week. I'm watching along and Mac and Hawkes are yapping about the body. Suddenly Hawkes crouches and bends, and does this bob side to side thing. The very first thought that came to mind was, "Hey! My Sim guy does that when he's checking what's cooking in the oven or looking out the window at the weather."

OMG! And I have no idea what was said in the rest of that scene because I bust a gut laughing at my own geekiness...

I think I need to get out more.

10/1/2008

Now that I have Star Trek out of my system... Back to CSi. I just needed a new sandbox to play in for a while to kickstart the magic. So back to the writing room where hijinx ensue and corpses (or is it corpsi?) litter the break room...

Many years ago I had a whooooole collection of Star Trek Enterprise here. Then I found this fanzine editor, or maybe she found me I really don't remember, who was persistent about getting her hands on the stories for a fanzine. It's been 5 years. No fanzine. So screw it, they're going back up. So it may seem like I've changed fanfiction, but I haven't. I'm just editing and reposting. I have a 10 hour overnight job and at this time nothing fresh is tickling my muse, so it's a good way to pass the dead time. So for all those readers that like Star Trek Enterprise, it's going to start coming back. And ironically... It'll start on my birthday, just 7 minutes after I was officially born. Odd, that...

8/21/2008

I haven't stopped writing fanfiction, just taking a break. When I was putting Lucy back together I realized I hadn't worked on original stuff for over a year so I decided to take a break after my last script was done. Have no fear, the rules will not disappear forever cuz I have way too much fun with them. I'll prolly start again after the next season starts in September. I dunno. I'm as flitty as a dodo bird since I went back to working graveyard shift again.

A sign you might watch to much CSi:Miami...

I started a new job and there's this company they take orders for called Perfect Glasses. So I went to the website to check out the product and was reading things. I clicked on 'our products' and there's a pair of sunglasses right at the top that the very first thing to mind was, 'Huh... Horatio Cane knock offs...' And then I had a roll on the floor mental laugh -- couldn't have an actual laugh unfortunately. This is a sign you have watched a little too much CSi:Miami, and yes, that does include watching the YouTube parody of a Horatio Cane going into a sunglass store and trying on glasses, and then busting the 'sales person' for murder.

It's a dark day. Now William Peterson is leaving? Historically, this many changes in the main cast don't spell out good things for the life of a show. That's sad, but so is the life of a long running television so. Still...

Lucy is still down. At least I found the partition with the stories were safe. Now she's objecting to installing Word. Erg...

07/16/2008

Lucy (that's my G3 Powerbook) has been faithful for 5 years. She's been a quiet gal, and even more so after I gave her a fresh, new, matte battery to chew. Never given me a lick of trouble in five years.

And then I did a silly thing; I add a second user to the computer. And she got mad, in a tizzy, and refused to boot to the Mac GUI. Guess where allllllllllll my stories are? I have them on a backup, thankfully only a week old, but I get a lot done in a week. And I don't write on my PC for some reason. Mostly cuz it's hard to lug a tower into a coffee shop or library. Lucy learned me not to attempt to let anyone else touch her! She's a jealous little computer. If I had an entire evening devoted to just fixing a computer, I'd be back up in a few hours. Unfortunately, I usually only have a half hour in an entire evening just to write. At least she's not like my PC (who has no name) which has crashed 3 times in the last 14 months. Lucy gets less cursing for being a good girl for so long. And this, my friends, is why I never, ever, never, not once, ever, will take a side in the Microsoft vs Mac debate.

And you know what really bites? I had just finished the next chapter in lab rats. I was going to print it out that morning and proof it on my lunch and have it up by Thursday... Well. You know what they say about the best laid plans, don't you? And I was sooooooo close to finishing a new CSI:Miami script. This BITES!

07/15/2008

After consideration, I decided to actually kill the dispatcher in 'Death of a Dispatcher.' So be looking for that update coming soon. Real soon since I've printed it out and will be proofreading it today...

07/07/2008

It has been brought to my attention that Bobby Dawson is gay and I paired him with receptionist Gina. Oops. I had no idea, so now I have to fix a few rules chapters.

Sorry! :-(

06/24/2008

The "rules" are going to have to wait for the next season. Not knowing with certainty what is to become of Warrick Brown, but definitely with some reputable insight, makes it difficult to keep the rules funny like they're supposed to be. So that's been put on the back burner for the time being.

Have a CSi:Maimi idea. It's slowly working out.

But everything was overtaken by a CSi idea. I watched this movie called 'Indigo' and it set me on an idea, but I've had the damndest time trying to fit it into any CSi. One night I read a one shot where Greg makes a phone call as he dies (i always forget I can favorite stories and then kick myself when I can't find them again...), which inevitably started a train from the 'veer left and stand clear' station and headed on the same track as my orange blossom special stemmed from 'Indigo.' They collided. It was spectacular. Parts went flying everywhere. But when it was done, I was left with a great idea.

I really wish I didn't have to work...

Best, me

06/10/2008

Fate loves a good laugh. I'm sure of it. I was looking forward to this Memorial Weekend. Deadlines met, no college classes, I was going to do a little fishing, write up some more lab rat rules, it was going to be great. Then, Thursday, a tornado took out part of my town and I've been transient ever since. My home still stands, but I have no power and it's difficult staying there.

Library computers are good for keeping in touch, but they are not conducive of writing when one writes their best at one and two in the morning. Librarians have this crazy notion they should close shop about 9, 10 at night. Bizarre that. So... The rules are on hold until life gets back to a normal flow.

Here's some pictures of the aftermath...

Best, me

05/23/08

Have you heard that they're casting for a Sara replacement? The name of the characters is Bryce Adams, which I assume is a woman since they asked Katee Sackhoff to try out. She didn't get it, the execs said no-ee, I agree with the execs on this one. She's a great actress, but just not... Just not. Could easily see her as a 'kick your ass and take names later' lawyer-type, though. Anyway, so that's one slot filled. Now I'm anxious to see who they plan to replace Alex on CSi:Miami.

05/04/08

It's always sad when actors who've portrayed long time characters decide to "pursue other career options" (a.k.a. "I just got my ass handed to me in a sling..." "I have a substance abuse problem and don't want the world to know what they already know that I know they know..." "I'm bored and I hate all my co-workers..."). Have you heard the latest gossip? Gal playing Alex is parting ways at CSi:Miami, rummored that Warrick dude is leaving, Grissom dude has written in an option that he can pursue projects outside of CSi (a.k.a. Hollywood equivalent of two weeks notice)

sigh

The center does not hold.

04/30/08

So some people would be all kinds of excited that new CSI are coming on becuase they missed the show.

I'm excited because there will be inspiration for Things Lab Rats Are Not Allowed To Do...

Happy Reading!

03/25/08

Yea... Lost has returned. So not interested.

I like Dexter and Eli Stone better.

There's just all sorts of funky stuff popping up around this website...

How long has Beta Reader been available?

And what's with this DocX?

Either I've been gone forever or I need new glasses. YIKES!

03/12/08

YEA! Lost has returned! Samantha and Mike can continue their mission... Not sure yet what that mission is, but we'll see...

02/01/08

So now that we're in rerun season, time to dust off and break out more fanfiction! As I said before, I have suddenly developed a strange fascination with CSI and have these crazy story ideas coming from out of no where. Gotta love the writer's brain. "Don't ask. I try not to figure out where my random and often vulgar thoughts come from -- it's too scary."

'300 Things Lab Rats Are Not Allowed To Do' is the first WIP I have ever posted. I don't have anything against posting WIPs, but I just normally post the entire thing. Just a personal pref. So thank you, thank you, thank you, for everyone that's reading it. This is fun! I haven't has this much fun writing a fanfiction in... Well... Ever! Thank you!

And one short startchless record straightener -- there are two people that read both parts of Things That Go Bump in the Night and asked me the same question. To my knowledge, and my paternal and maternal relatives knowledge, I have NO relation to Stephen King. But I wish I did!
