I am currently under hiatus due to Academic demands. I'm preparing for my third year in Nursing and as most of you may know, it's not a walk in the park to go for excellence in the course, especially now that I'm slowly becoming mediocre-phobic. Aren't we all?

But anyway, I'm happy to say that even though I don't update my page so much, it doesn't mean I don't have stories to tell anymore. I do, but it's just that I still have to prioritize other things. So here's a sneak peak of what might be my next project/s (hopefully, they'll be published this year, i'm keeping my fingers crossed):

"I need to be alone." She said the words slowly, but her tone stood firm.

"I'll come with you." He said automically.

She watched him. Her stubborn will wouldn't leave. She moved towards him and gently cupped the side of his face with her soft palm. And then she took a step back. She pulled her hand off him before he could even press his own to its softness. She turned, took one brief glance of him and walked away.

He still had his open hand floatng in mid-air, ready to reach out, but just like always, she never let him get too close to even touch her. Sometimes he wondered if she was holding him or if she was just making sure he was real, that he was really there.

He rushed to the waves and the cold wind that powered behind it. His body disappeared as the warm water engulfed his being. He swam out to the deepest parts and plunged in deep, holding his breath.

Let the waters claim his fires. Let them consume the heat of the flames and leave him mellow. Let the embers remain.

Slowly, he rose to the surface and he breathed out life.

I'm coming back for you.

Im scared; because somehow, i've let someone take hold of me; and because somehow, she's now giving me that same power too.

Writing will always be a part of who I am, but I am a student and daughter first and foremost. So until then, keep playing with words and let the music fly. (:
