Not too much to say. I won't tell you my real name, but I go by Reading Redhead (Red for short) on this site. My dream job is to be a writer. If you really want to know more than that, check out my livejournal at the link above that says "homepage."

My drive to be a published writer coupled with school's demands on my free time mean that I no longer write fanfiction; I'm a reviewer only. I don't know if this will ever change, but for now, consider my work on permanent hiatus.

Writing

I have been working on novels-in-progress since the fifth grade. They have drastically increased in quality since then! I've also participated in National Novel Writing Month for the past 4 years, producing a total of 340,000 words across four story projects, each of an increasing length. Fanfiction used to be my retreat from "serious writing," and served as a way for me to exercise certain skills, such as plotting, character development, or new writing techniques, but as I said above, I'm no longer writing fanfiction in order to focus on more serious projects.
