My rant on the Jealous!Ron orArrogant!Ron: I only like a few stories in which Harry is not friends with Ron. People...please. Re-read the Harry Potter books. Now, tell me, how many intances can you see in which Ron acts jealous or arrogant to Harry? Once. In GoF, after Harry is chosen as a champion for the Tri-Wizard Tournament. That's all. Get it? Most people just hate Ron because they're conformists. They see everyone else writing fanfiction stories about how Ron is a horrible jealous person, and so they think that Ron truly is that way. They then end up liking Malfoy. WTF. I truly hate people like that. How could you go and hate Ron, Harry's BEST FRIEND, and then go to like Malfoy, Harry's WORST ENEMY? Let's get it straight people, Ron = Best Friend, and Malfoy = Worst Enemy. Blah. I for one love Ron. He's the best friend a guy could have. Sure, he has a short temper, but a lot of people do. And another thing, just because Ron plays chess, doesn't mean he's a master strategist. Where the hell did that come from? Chess is a game, people. War is war. I play chess. I think I'm pretty good at it.Does that automatically rank me up there with General Pershing? Grant? No. I am nothing compared to them. Neither is Ron. Sending off a Pon to its inevitable death is much easier to do that sending off groups of people to their inevitable death. You really think that a teenager would be able to have foresight in a battle? Hell no. He would be pissing in his pants and throwing curses everywhere. As many people like to point out, he's a rash guy. He won't stop to think in battle. I think that's all. If you've gotten this far in my rant, I thank you.

Personal Info: 20 year old that likes to get high and drunk. Also, a grammar whore. I'm extremely picky about my fics, they have to have nearly perfect grammar for me to even consider reading them. There are a few guilty pleasures though...

Pet Peeves- People who don't proofread. People who think that 'their' and 'there' are the same thing. People who think that a word can be 'bad.' I mean, what the fuck did the word do to you?

Fandoms: I first started reading DragonBall Z fanfiction, but then got sucked into Harry Potter. I still read DragonBall though, but there aren't that many great fics in that particular fandom.

My view on slash fanfiction: No offense to the gay's in the world, but I can't stand slash fanfiction. I have nothing against homosexual's in general, hell, one of my friends is gay, but to read about characters I know are not gay is just irritating. For example, slash in the Harry Potter fandom. People have gone and made Harry/James ships. That's just wrong, folks. Ron/Harry slash isn't right. They're best friends. Harry/Draco...I'm sorry people, but the animosity between them is NOT sexual tension. People have also made Harry/Sirius, Harry/Snape, Harry/Remus. Not only are these people, at the least, twenty years older than Harry, but Sirius and Remus are like fathers to Harry! And Snape is his teacher! Sorry, I don't support student/teacher sexual relationships in the least. And I'm a guy, so it's not really my cup of tea to see hairy men rubbing up against each other. And you want to know something I noticed? Most slash fanfic authors are GIRLS. Not just girls, thirteen-year-olds, kids that I'm guessing have never had a relationship. It bothers me that people say, "Harry and Severus slash fanfiction just gives me a warm, fuzzy feeling inside." I mean, teachers in America are already going crazy with their kids, what will happen in a decade or two when some of these kids are teachers? They SUPPORT this student/teacher relationship. Sorry, but I wouldn't want people like that to be my teachers. And I DO support Gay Marriage. Just saying.
