Author has written 12 stories for Lord of the Rings, Inheritance Cycle, and Four Brothers.

Dear Friends,

I believe a hiatus is in order...actually, it's really already in progress. Sorry about that. I literally have no time these days to write or read. It's not for a lack of desire, however, and I hope that no one feels as if I've neglected them. It surely has not been intentional! Hopefully, the chaos will calm down soon and I will be back up to speed. I miss all of you and wish you well in the meantime!

-Brandi

-------------

Greetings, fellow fanfiction readers and authors! I'm Brandi (...obviously), a twenty-one-year-old computer geek of THE most obvious variety, with a soft spot for anything related to the Lord of the Rings trilogy, especially Legolas.

I am a senior in college, and I'm currently stressing myself out with two majors, criminology and sociology. I also have a minor in German, so I speak haltingly in that tongue as well (but even after almost ten years of taking the language, I'm still nowhere near fluent...man, it's hard.) My dream occupation is to be a state medical examiner, but that implies medical school, and I'm not sure I have the stamina anymore. Next on the list would be death investigator, then behaviorist, then criminalist (not exactly the CSI-type stuff, but similar.) In any case, we'll see where the wind blows me in the years after I have completed grad school, and until then, I'm trying very hard to not think about it. :)

I am also a huge fan of music (mostly rock and punk, but a little pop and country too...I try to be well-rounded), movies that make me think, old-school muscle cars, and reading legal thrillers.

So that's me...but you're not here to read about me. You're here to read my stuff (hopefully) and I'll let you judge me by that.

Latest News on the Brandi Front:

- Had a Four Brothers plot bunny. I'm trying to see if it's do-able. So far...eh.

- Struggling through a particularly important (and particularly difficult) scene for "So Much for Fellowship."

- Trying to write a fic for Shanobi, who offered to let me adopt a plot-bunny. Not sure if it's do-able, either, as it's not my usual style, but it's a good plot and I'm trying to do it justice.

- Started coming up with another Eragon fic idea...baaad. I need to stop. Someone make me stop!

-------------

Future Intentions:

I have several plot bunnies that just won't go away, but I'll have to teach them the art of patience before I succumb to their persistent nipping at my ankles. "So Much for Fellowship" is my top priority at the moment, so they'll just have to wait. Eventually, though, I plan to write a few one-shots and perhaps one more chaptered story. We'll see.

Also, if anyone would be interested in co-writing a piece with me, let me know. I've always been curious to try a collaborative effort on for size.

Shameless Plugs:

I've met some really great friends on here, and they deserve a special dedication. So here goes.

To Ana Library Elf, who left a MOST astoundingly wonderful review for Valor Without Renown that completely took my breath away.

I'd like to give a shout-out to Shanobi. Seems we're unintentionally stalking each other all over FanFiction.Net. :) Check out her stuff; her writing is incredible.

For some interesting slash stories in the Eragon fandom, go look at Kaylen's pieces. I've read them a dozen times at least, and they never fail to amaze me.

I'm a huge fan of Whilom's stories, as well. Take a peek at her work. She's a literary goddess and absolutely leaves me breathless from laughter with her PMs and reviews. Her pieces range from bittersweet to hysterically funny, and all are guaranteed to please...although I suspect she only updates because I consistently threaten her with the Crowbar O' Doom. ;)

HaloFin17 is also ridiculously talented and has left some really insightful reviews that always make me grin. And she has impeccable taste in music. ;)

Also, warm thanks to my persistent and much-adored reviewers. Special applause to ArodieltheElfofRohan (who has followed my pieces like a real trooper and left kind remarks for many), Calenlass Greenleaf, Lord Arandur, Starlight9, TelcontarRulz, and Badfairy.

-------------

My writing is very character-based, so if you prefer action-packed drama, my stories probably won't be to your tastes. The plots are driven by dialogue and interactions. They are often extremely angsty. ;) Not much fluff here.

Thanks for reading, and to all my reviewers, you have my eternal gratitude!
