My penname comes from the fact that I've been told I look like Hagrid'sillegitimate son. Two of my nieces now refer to me as Uncle Hagrid, or Uncle FurryButt (don't ask...please.). The other two don't for two reasons; one can't talk veryintelligibly yet, and the other is only a couple of months old. I have no doubt, tho, that the other two will teach them, just as soon as it's possible. Sweet Merlin!
A couple of quick notes about my fics, so far.
Potions Helpline: I work in customer service, answering phones all day. I've been doing the same type of job for one company or another for close to 15 years now. You wouldn't believe the inane, off-topic questions that people can ask sometimes. This plot-ferret struck in the middle of a very busy wednesday at work, right after somebody had called me with a question about a product manufactured by a company other than the one I work for. She then proceded to get upset with me, for her wrong number. I found myself answering the next call with a very Snape-like tone of voice. All of a sudden the ferret struck, and I almost started giggling in the middle of the call, as the idea took shape. This is the result.
Perspective: I've been a huge fan of Spider Robinson for about ten years now. He's written an incredible series of books about a bunch of barflies who hang out at a place called Callahan's Bar. Callahan's is the place that Cheers wanted to be, but more. Most of the time, if somebody goes to a bar, they're going to get blind if they stay there long enough. They want to be blinded to their pain, troubles, or just the mediocrity of everyday life. At Callahan's though, if you stay there long enough, you'll actually start to see. And you'll see better than you ever have. You'll see what you really need to. The denizens of Callahan's have one over-riding rule they live by. That rule is: Shared Pain is Decreased, Shared Joy is Increased. They also share a lot of tall tales, really bad puns, and a lot of great adventures. Oh yeah...they also manage to save the world a time or two along the way. Sounds like just the kind of place Harry Potter needs to find, eh? By the way, Spider is also the creator of Lady Sally's Place, as well. This story is now completed. I've given some thought to a sequel, but have come to the conclusion that, while there will be a few one-shots or short (2-3 chapters) stories in the same universe, I don't foresee a full-blown sequel. Too many other projects & potential projects going on.

The Callahan's community on Delphi. Some really great people on there. More links will be posted in the future. I just wanted to get the two best (IMHO) posted here.
Also, I'm collaborating with my wife on a new story, called Lullaby. The link is here: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2081296/1/
Her author name is loritrelawney. Hopefully, a new chapter will be finished soon, so we can post it, and I can concentrate on some of my solo works.
LCaS will be the next one I work on (I think), as well as one other project I've been working on. I don't want to give away too much here, but those who have seen the odd preview or two have said that it sounds pretty good. It'll be a bit of a departure for me, from what you may be used to, but it's been fun to write. Time will tell if it works or not. Once I get a few chapters done, I'll leave it, as always, with you, dear readers.
One other project I've started is a novel-length songfic, which will be hosted at Wizardtales.net, as they have no restrictions on them. It will be slightly angsty in the beginning, but will have plenty of fluff in it, never fear.
As always, reviews are enthusiastically welcomed. Please let me know what you think.
Songfics: For anybody who's wondering where my songfics went to, they can be found on my Yahoo group, as well as at Wizardtales.net, http://www.wizardtales.net/viewuser.php?uid=265. I removed them from here to avoid any conflict arising from the whole song lyric issue. I also have improved versions of most of my stories there as well.
