Name: Dani. People spell it Danni but it’s not. It’s dani. I don’t even capitalize my own name. I do it on purpose, BTW. It’s not that I’m ignorant. I think it gives me more personality. To some of my very close friends, I’m known as The Fu.

Age: 17 (SWEET SEVENTEEN, THANK GOD) 16 sucked ass. Why? Because it was an even number

Height: Not particularly relevant but I’m 5’2 which I LOATHE because I hate even numbers. Except 14. 14 is good.

Appearance: Nur…I have brown hair and dark green-ish/brown colored eyes.

Location: Well, I wouldn’t mind telling you but I don’t know who you are. I’ll tell you that I live in a very populous city in Illinois. NOT CHICAGO. Although we ( Illinois) are famous for Chicago, I don’t live there. I live somewhere along the Illinois River, which is sooooo ew, BTW. We have Asian carp and dead bodies. I heard somewhere that a little girl was telling her parents about a dead body on April Fools Day. They didn’t believe her. Boy, were they in for a surprise.

Attitude/Personality: I used to be emo but now I’m a…positive person? Optimistic. That’s better. I love to make people laugh, even if it’s at me. I like to turn dumb/embarrassing things I’ve done into something that makes people laugh. For example:

I once had a cat named Sissy kitty, nicknamed Shitty kitty. If you made her mad AT ALL she would sniff out your things and shit on them. Seriously.

Well, I made her angry with me one time (I forgot what I did) and I went to bed. I was asleep and I rolled over and put my hand on something cold, wet, and squishy. Yup, it was shit. I woke up right away and was immediately grossed out.

I went downstairs to my mom, crying my eyes out (I was 12 at the time). She’s like “honey, what’s wrong?” and I sniffed and said, “The cat pooped on my bed and I rolled over in it” and I showed her my defiled hand. She took one look at it and burst out laughing, “Well I guess you better clean it up then!”

I like to meet new people and make them feel welcome. I go out of my way to say hello. Either they think I’m the weirdest chick in the world or they talk back. Usually it’s the former. I’m pretty weird, but I’d rather people think I’m weird than an idiot or something.

Awesome stuff I can do: I can read.

…and I can write (Duh) and I can draw. I can also do some pretty sweet PowerPoint slides.

I had a bunch of crap under here but I thought it made my profile look stupid so I took it off. I’ll just post an add, I guess.

I read and re-read my work over and over again but I never seem to catch all of my mistakes. ((Oh no!)) The beta I have now, Mel, is my friend from school((yay!)). While she likes to correct me((dani, you’re dumb)), she’s not too particularly interested in WHAT I have to write((what the hell is this?)). So again, I am looking for a beta. Several, I guess.

I will try to make a test, or give the volunteer some of my past, faulted work. Perhaps I’ll try the new beta-thingy on FF. I just want a good, quality person. That’s all.

Things that irritate me: You. Ha, no I kid, I kid.

First off, though I like Inuyasha (the show), I HATE KAGOME!! And Shippo.

I hate Kagome because she always makes Inuyasha sit for the stupidest things. Like when she’s jealous, for instance. And then there’s Shippo. OMG HE’S ANNOYING. He sabotages Inuyasha all the time and makes Kagome sit him. Like that one time when Inuyasha tried to eat the biggest fish and Shippo wanted it. They argued and Inuyasha hit him, rightfully so, and Shippo’s all like “Kagome, Inuyasha hit me! Wah!” and then she sits him right away. GGRRR!!

And then like, she loves Shippo, right? Then why the HELL is he with her?? Naraku is dangerous, and the Jewel Shards attract so much trouble. It doesn’t matter if Shippo is a demon child, he’s still a child. He is also a hindrance. What if Naraku kidnapped him, heaven knows it would be so easy, then what? Huh? I hope the little shit dies. (But of course, he doesn’t)

Another thing that really grinds my gears (lol) is the way everyone hates on Kikyo. Everybody always bashes on her. Why? I see justification in her attitude. I would be the same way. She loved Inuyasha. She treated him like a person and loved him. How would you feel if the person you loved all of a sudden tried to kill you? Granted, it was Naraku, but she didn’t know that. She thought it was Inuyasha. She trusted him and wanted to be with him and he killed her. I dunno about you, but I’d be pretty damned pissed.

She has a right to hate Kagome, too. She was brought back to life and then she comes to find that her killer is with some girl that looks just like her. It’s not fair. I bet she felt like garbage, thrown on the ground after it had no use. Anyway, that’s all for my Inuyasha rant. My friend Morgan writes for Inuyasha and loves Inu/Kag. She writes Inu/Kag stuff and asks me to read it. I’m sorry Morgan, but it’s hard. I really just do not like Kagome.

(Contraire to the earlier statement, I do like Kag/Sess. I am such a hypocrite. I do like this one Inu/Kag story but I can’t even remember what it’s called. It was SUPER good, though.)

Flames

There is no excuse for flaming someone for their story. If their story is that bad just report abuse or give them helpful advice. If you think my stories are okay, you should have seen my very first one. It was so bad, it got taken off. I was very sad =-_-= but thanks to someone (won't say her name, that's her business) who supported me and gave me helpful advice, I was able to write my stories.

Also; if you’re going to flame someone at least sound like you’re not a dumb ass, please. Spell correctly or the flame will be all on you.

I absolutely HATE it with my whole body and soul when someone flames another person and can’t spell. It’s so stupid, why are people so stupid?

Past Present and Future tenses

Where like, at the ending you have 'She smiled and laughed.' People who do this;

She smiles and laughed. "What are you doing?" she asks.

Does anybody see what's wrong? The mix between past and present tense. I can understand a few mistakes, but throughout the whole story...it’s just irritating.

Script form-

People who write FanFics like a play. GRRR. This is FanFICTION not FanPLAY.

Yuki: What's so funny?

Tohru: You!

They both laugh until Kyo enters the room.

Kyo (just enters): What are you doing, stupid rat?

(plus, it's not allowed. I won't tell if I see one, but I still don't like them. At the beginning of an Authoress/Author note I can understand, but the whole story?)

Misspelling-

I know I can't spell, but at least I don't have many mistakes.

Ykui (=;.;= I'm sorry Yuki) "None of ur buzness, stupif cat."

Translation:

Yuki, "None of your business, stupid cat."

You need to spell out the words and not use slang. It makes you look unintelligent.

OC/ Mary-Sue-

First, you need to understand the Sue of Mary.

Mary Sue (sometimes shortened simply to Sue) is a pejorative term for a fictional character who is portrayed in an idealized way and who is generally lacking in any truly noteworthy flaws (or having her flaws romanticized, as is sometimes the case with stories about characters with eating disorders, depression, or other psychological conditions). Characters labeled Mary Sues, as well as the stories they appear in, are generally seen as wish fulfillment fantasies on the part of the author.

Characters most commonly labeled Mary Sues are often characterized by their unusual and dramatic traits and experiences, their similarity to their author or their author's ideal person, and, most especially, the trait of extreme superiority in comparison to other characters.

Those labeled Mary Sues normally have exceptional physical and personal characteristics, including unusual and (typically) tragic backgrounds. They may have uncommon eye or hair colors or come from a race or species which is uncommon or unknown in the story’s setting. They may have exotic names, pets, or possessions, often ones with great perceived mystical or magical significance. As children, they often will have experienced abuse or other hardships that were substantially worse than the abuse or hardship experienced by other characters and often, by many of the people in the real world — though they are often said to seldom if ever display any evidence in personality or behavior of having been traumatized. In adulthood, they are generally portrayed as misunderstood or unfairly persecuted. They are often abandoned as infants or young children, from a famous or infamous family, or related somehow to the author’s favorite character.

They frequently share hobbies, likes and dislikes, and opinions with the author, and may be of the same nationality or age as the author and have similar but more dramatic physical appearances or backgrounds; other times, they may merely have hobbies or features that the author finds exotic, high-class or somehow admirable.

In fan fiction, they often cause things to happen that the author wishes would happen in canon. They usually mock and humiliate characters the author dislikes; if these characters are well-liked in canon they sometimes reveal to the other characters that they are secretly evil. If a character is disliked by most canon characters but liked by the author, the Mary Sue realizes that they are not really bad but merely misunderstood and either explains this to the other characters or becomes the character's sole confidant and friend, if not their redeemer. Mary Sues may bring together characters the author thinks should be romantically involved with one another or become romantically involved with characters to whom the author is attracted.

Characters perceived as Mary Sues almost always have more and better skills than other characters in the story and easily solve problems that stump other characters. Young Mary Sues often have skills or accomplishments that are substantially greater than those of other characters their age and of the majority of people their age in the real world. They are usually presented as more moral than other characters and frequently sacrifice their lives or happiness for the sake of other characters. They often have moral ideas or follow norms that are common in the Western world today but unusual for the setting or perceived setting of the story. They are nearly always exceptionally attractive, with said attractiveness often being described in great detail and typically noticed frequently by the other characters.

Characters said to be Mary Sues are generally heavily praised by the author and especially other characters. If the Mary Sue has flaws or limitations, they are either minor and/or endearing, or yet another hardship for the Sue to overcome (e.g., paraplegia, depression, an eating disorder, or a "passionate" temperament).

Okay, now that you understand the Sue, you need to know my opinion, well not really…

MY definition of a Mary Sue is better.

Dani’s definition of a Mary Sue: Mary Sue. A person who is perfect in every way and that can solve everyone’s problems. Can sing marvelously, has had a horrible, depressing past and is very smart. They also are gorgeous beyond all reasoning. They have everyone falling at their feet and all the bad guys love her.

I hate that part because like, take Itachi for example. HOW COULD SOMEONE WHO KILLED HIS WHOLE FAMILY (excluding Sasuke, of course) FALL INSTANTLY FOR SOME PRISSY, BARBIE DOLL?? I HATE that. It’s like, WTF? What the hell are you on?

I personally like OC stories. They’re very interesting, if written well.

I also don’t like cannon pairings. Like Hina/Naru or Inu/Kag. I like crack pairings.

Reviewing:

It's not fair if you’re an Authoress/ Author who writes stories and likes reviews to not get any for their stories. I know what it's like. You see how many hits you have, but there’s nothing you can do. (unless you do that 10 more reviews thing) If you are an Authoress (sorry guys) who likes my stories and you like reviews, why would you not review mine? I see you people, you know. I'm on your favorites list or Authoress Alert and you don't review? How ungrateful. You know I can see you, right?=O.O=

I try to review for every story I read, even I don’t like it. I like to try and leave constructive criticism and compliments. If I read a story that I don’t like then I say why, what could make it better, and other stuff like that. It’s better to get a review saying why someone doesn’t like it than none at all. The meanest review I have ever written is this:

Okay...I can handle a few misspellings. I can (try to) handle a Mary-Sue. But I can't take the script form. I hate it and it is NOT allowed. Get rid of it and fix your mistakes because this is abuse. I like a KankuroOC, I really do, it's just the script form; it reminds of a play. This is fanFICTION not fanPLAY.

Your summary was okay, but I think the last sentence should get taken off because it was really, really cheesy. "When these two meet a secret love blossoms but will they be able to tell the other how they feel?" Come on. Cliché.

You'd have longer chapters if you didn't do the script form and described a lot more. You were too straight-forward in introducing your character. Its like, "Here she is" in the first sentence. Nobody cares about how YOU view her, just the other characters, like Kankuro. How about her village? A little more about her village life and what the village itself is like would be nice. A HEART headband from a RAINBOW village? Please…

Another thing, if you're going to use a song, please use the correct lyrics. At least italicize the lyrics so nobody gets confused.

I suggest that you get a beta. Not one of your friends because “she’s my best friend and we do everything together”. No. My best friends grammar SUCKS and I would NEVER ask her for help. I would ask her to read it, to see if she likes it, but never to edit it.

You want someone who is good with spelling and great at grammar. I’m not the best but I’ll help you, if you choose to clean this up. I don’t want to hurt your feelings but someone has to correct you before you get banned from fanfiction. If someone reports abuse on your 2 of your fics, say bye ‘cause two’s the limit.

If you want, I can help you rewrite this. I’m not sure if people will like it more or less, but people will definitely like it less if this does not change.

Story Status;

Fox Girl- I took it off. I didn’t like it; it kind of made me sick. I thought it was Mary-Sue. No one has complained so far.

Tears of a Silver Winged Angel or TOASWA- Same as above.

Dirty-Slow progress, but I’m working on it. VEEERRRRYYYYY SSSSLLLOOOOWWWWLLLY. It doesn’t seem to be too popular, but two people like it so I’ll continue it.

Zane’s Biggest Fan or ZBF- Going good thus far, it seems popular. I’ve got over 620 hits so I think it’s good. It has 21 reviews so far and 80 hits for chapter three.

While I don’t particularly care for people putting a ransom on the next chapter, I have decided to resort to it. I am tired of not getting reviews. The next chapter I post will be an experiment chapter. I will have something like this at the bottom, “In order for me to post the next chapter, I’ll need blah reviews.” I might make it 30. Or 10. Hey, I got over 50 hits. That means, to me, 50 reviews. 80 now, but I won't change that because asking for 80 reviews is ridiculous.

Dark Chocolate-((COMPLETE)) I…was kind of fond of it, but…while it didn’t get any flames (except this one saying that it sucked eggs) the reviews weren’t very…kind. They were okay, but I don’t think I’ll try something like that again. I’ll try and fix it later.

Echigo: Behind the Mountains or Echigo- Something new. Longest first chapter, longest chapter, I’ve ever written. I changed the summary, to make it more appealing, though I must admit I am not satisfied with it. Hopefully I will get more reviews now.

3/27/08- Just updated. Took me 4 1/2 hours but I think it was worth it.

Friends: Another new thing. Just an OCYuki friendship. We'll see how it goes.

Reliable: A Sakon/UkonOC fic. I got tired of not seeing any SakonUkon OCs so I made one. Maybe I'll make a Kimimaro one, too...

Alas, we shall see how this one does before I do anything else.

Okay…woke up, ate a Mcmuffin or whatever the hell it’s called and took my drivers test, FINALLY. I passed, BTW. Not much else to say. I rewrote my profile this morning. At 1 am. We got a new computer, brand spankin’ new. It’s beautiful. Well, that’s about it so bye…
