Other Info:

I'm a bit of a sub-snob when it comes to my anime, but there are four main reasons behind this:

1) Yugioh: Ever get physically sick while watching a dub? Well I have. The subtitled versions I have found online are not much better, but at least the voice actors for those can act and the script doesn't use the same lines OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER (do you get the point?) again. Sure there are some repeated lines, but not as much as the dub. Little Kuriboh does a much better job voice acting for the Abridge series than a full cast of professional voice actors, but that might be in part to the fact that the dub's script sounds so fake and immature. I nearly threw up watching one episode, and I wasn't sick.
2) Cardcaptor Sakura vs. Cardcaptors: Did 4Kids actually watch the series before they dub/cut it? So much character development and fun cut because it wasn't "for kids" and we wonder why the youth of today are having problems...
3) Gravitation: I only watched about two minutes of this one dubbed and it made me cry it was so horrible. When the dubbers can't cast the right voice actors, but the Japanese can I get sad.
4) Sailor Moon: gender bending, horrible voices, cut episodes, is there any reason that DiC is one of the biggest laughing stocks in the history of dubbed anime? Really, you suddenly have all these English sounding names and places in the middle of Tokyo, does anyone else see a problem with that, other than me? I guess we can't teach kids to respect the cultures of other countries.

Despite being a sub-snob, there are a few dubs I actually like:

1) Trigun: I watched it dubbed when I rented the first DVD because I didn't feel like reading subtitles. This is one of the best done dub jobs I've seen or heard, the voices were amazing and I actually like it better dubbed than subbed.
2) Fullmetal Alchemist: Vic Mignogna is such a nice guy in person, I met him at an anime convention I attended and he signed one of my D.N.Angel cards. I also like the other voice talents cast, they all do a good job and don't distract from the plot by being annoying.

I also prefer to use Japanese names when it comes to anime if there was a major change in name, if (like in Gundam Wing or Fullmetal Alchemist) it was a small change I will usually leave it as the English to not be confusing. Of course since branching out into other fandoms, this doesn't apply as much anymore.
