My name is Kate and I am a currently working in retail and living with my parents while I figure out what I want to do with my life. Before I quit uni I was a 2nd year Social Work student, having also completed a Creative Writing degree. (Five years of study in total- you see why I quit :p) I live in sunny Australia and manage to write the occasional fic, most of which are for CSI New York. Unfortunately I can be a harsh reviewer, so if you came here because of that I am terribly sorry! (But I probably had a point!)
Fandoms- My favourite TV shows are NCIS, House, Bones, Criminal Minds and CSI: New York. I also watch Law and Order (and LAO:CI), Numb3rs, and the best of the British- Doctor Who (both the new and the old series thanks to reruns), Wire in the Blood, New Tricks and many others I'm sure I've forgotten.
I frequently decry that there are no Australian shows on my list. Thats because Australian drama funding is being cut in favor of cheap imports. I would rather watch a good Australian drama than another Home and Away, or, god forbid, another gameshow. Thank God You're Here, and the new 6 part series' coming out on the ABC and SBS, are the only exception.
Pairings- I'm a hopeless romantic so of course I ship for most of these shows. I currently support (and therefore read and write)-
CSI: New York- Danny/Lindsay of course (I died when I saw Snow Day!) and for my offbeat pairing Stella/Flack (It's notesofwimsey's fault!)
NCIS- Kibbs (Kate and Gibbs for the uninitiated) but she died, so now Tiva (Tony and Ziva, because I love the way they argue)
House- House/Cameron (Because I know where she is coming from and I think he really does love her.)
Bones- Booth/Brennan (or BB!)- because I just love how they are together
Old Pairings-
Stargate SG1- Sam/Jack
CSI: Miami- Horatio/Calleigh
Doctor Who- 9th/Rose
Criminal Minds- I go offbeat here and declare Elle/Gideon as my pairing, because my muse jumped on me with a story for them, and I really didn't want to like them, but now I do.
Fic Recs- Well I could recommend quite a few people, but to be honest I can't remember them all.
Stargate- Jackie W- I made her website (and she also writes for House). And for the funniest stories you will ever read see Jojo's and ALC Punk's work.
NCIS- Kibbs fans go see Mindy, Tiva lovers go see DrawMeASheep.
CSI: New York- For D/L and Fietsa read notesofwimsey and another great Fiesta writer is foxdvd. Also my decision to start writing Flack was greatly inspired by La Guera's Lullaby.
