About Me
I'm 20, live in the UK and am studying Medicine at university. I'm just a teeny weeny bit obsessed with fanfiction, and whilst there's great satisfaction in reading a great story, I find it infinitely more rewarding in writing my own, though I don't really think I'm quite the master as many of the amazing authors on this website. The talent on here is actually quite staggering.
My current fandoms: Stargate SG-1, Dark Angel, House, M.D., Ugly Betty and Harry Potter
My favourite pairings:
Max/Alec (Dark Angel)
Sam/Jack (Stargate SG-1)
Harry/Hermione and Draco/Hermione (Harry Potter)
House/Cuddy (House, M.D.)
Daniel/Betty (Ugly Betty)
My favourite TV Shows: Well apart from the obvious; Supernatural, Stargate Atlantis, Heroes, Alias and Doctor Who.
My favourite Bands: Yikes so many; Muse, Snow Patrol, Kasabian, Coldplay, Keane, The Killers, Travis, Green Day, The Fray, Lifehouse and I'm positive there's more!
My Fanfiction
Works In Progress:
A Little Life Less Ordinary (House, M.D.) - My first attempt at writing for this fandom, and quite possible the hardest fandom I've ever written for - so this should be very interesting!
Blood and Balls (Dark Angel) - I actually wrote and finished this story ages ago, but haven't got around to typing the rest of it up. Partly because I'm lazy, partly because I'm usually bogged down with studying, but also because I'm partly embarassed by my writing. I wrote it so long ago, and my writings changed a lot since then. But people seem to like it, so I will update once I get a chance to.
Say Goodbye to Yesterday (Stargate SG-1) - There's not much more of this story left to go but the muse is a fickle thing and it seems to have abandoned me. But like I said, it's fickle, and will probably return when I least expect it. I'm going to try and write some more over the summer.
Completed Work:
Paint My World (Ugly Betty) - This was a very different kind of fic for me. Very abstract, but that's how I had intended it to be, and also incredibly fluffy. I think, overall, it just about worked.
Hypotheses of the Unverifiable Kind (Ugly Betty) - So I managed to finish this, but I hadn't expected to get so many choruses and chants for a sequel. Whilst part of me agrees it was a little mean to end it where I did, creatively it made sense. I very much doubt I will be writing a sequel to this, because I don't think it'll add much to the story itself. Daniel and Betty have come full circle, and that's where I'll leave it.
Their December (Ugly Betty): A Christmas fic, which I hope is slightly different. Very angsty, dramatic and fluffy, and so very fun to write.
Everything (Ugly Betty): My first try at an Ugly Betty fic. It focuses on the relationship between Daniel and Betty and is not overtly shippy but the undertones are there if you're looking for them.
An Autumn Solstice (Dark Angel): First story I actually planned out, and for the most part I think it worked. I really enjoyed writing it, and I hope it makes for an interesting read.
Freedom on the Inside (Dark Angel): Ahh yes, the longest fic I've ever written. This is interesting; because I wrote it over two years and so you can actually see the gradual change in my writing. First quarter or so of this fic makes me cringe, but there are some chapters in the later half that I'm actually quite proud of.
Home (Dark Angel): I'm still quite astounded at the response to this fic. I had a blast writing it.
Back to Him (Dark Angel): Although Home is the more successful fic, I actually prefer this piece. A nice healthy dollop of angst.
Three years (Dark Angel): Another Dark Angel oneshot, less angsty than Back to Him.
Triangle (Dark Angel): First ever fanfic, and quite badly written if I do say so myself ~laughs~ But then I was 14 and hadn't read enough (so said my much disgruntled English teacher).
Coincidence (Stargate SG-1): First Stargate fic I wrote.
Dreaming (Harry Potter): Completely AU, and totally fluffy.
Meetings and Washing up Liquid (Harry Potter): Follow up to Dreaming.
Thanks to everyone who ever left a review for any of my fics; they are greatly appreciated!
Ok, I don't really think you need to know any more than that (not that you needed to know anything I rambled on about anyway), so as always I hope you enjoy my fics and please leave a review, they always make my day! (Yeah, i need to get out more:)!
