Call me Middie~

Interests? Sure! I have a few: reading, music, writing, computers, animals, emails, friends, wolves, bromance, shonen-ai, shoujo-ai, internet, drawing, coloring, anime, manga, games, television

So you want to know a little about me; OK, I get that.

Well, I'm currently an eighteen year old college student from Georgia, probably aiming for a major in Psychology. I'm not too sure about that yet. I do love to write, though. That's not to say I churn things out in a timely manner. On the contrary! I'm actually very stubborn when it comes to actually getting projects started and completed. I'm a die-hard procrastinator and I blame most of my unwritten stories on that right there. No longer a habit, more of a lifestyle. With a little inspiration, and a tough kick in the side, I can get things done, though. Nothing feels better than accomplishment, right?

So how picky am I? I'm very picky. I've perfected this pickiness over years and years, always growing and learning and leaving the past behind. Steadily my standards have raised and raised. I guess you could think of it as a shaping, of sorts. I was once a l33t speaking fangirl. Now? Not so much. And while I'm picky, I'm not rude (most of the time). What I read, what I write, and what I play are big areas that I'm touche about. That's not to say I'll e-punch you for suggesting that I read something with an idea I don't go for. I'll read it. Exposure to new things is good. I'll just judge it harshly. The golden tickets into my heart are basically wolves and BL (boy's love, yaoi, shounen-ai, m/m, slash, whatever you prefer to call it). If you've got either of those in a fandom I enjoy, then I'm ready to go without a hitch.

There are a few authors here that absolutely astound me (and that's not easy): Dust to Dusk, valkyrie-alex, and NME

I suggest you give their stories a glance. Would I give them such a shout-out if they weren't tremendously brilliant and amazing? No, I would not.

But moving on - I have a very wide range of interests when it comes to fandoms. I could name some but we'd be here all day. If you name something, chances are I'm into it. But my inspiration tends to fluctuate as the days go on, sometimes triggered by even the smallest things. A few nights ago I found an old, unlabled VHS with recorded episodes of s-CRY-ed on it, and now I'm back in that. Conversations and a beta read with a new friend has be back into Pokemon. Sometimes just my own thoughts draw up old flames. Case in point, some days I'm very interested in one fandom, but it could change instantly and/or fade, only to be replaced with something else entirely. It's all about what rekindles my interest from day to day.

And I guess that's it.

11/5 - Wow, guys, has it been a long time or what? My existence here has slowed to a mere crawl. I hardly write anymore! What's that about? I wish I could say. I've been in such a dry-spell. I can't remember the last time I wrote something, let alone the last I was happy to write something. I think I abused my muse so much trying to improve that she flew the coop. I sure hope she comes back. I used to enjoy writing so much, now there's hardly any enjoyment in it at all for me.

Bwah! Let me tell you, me skipping town here was nothing compared to how long I was away from my fictionpress account. Three years, baby! Three straight years without a show. I was still seventeen over there when I had first logged in today. I plan to be more active now. So hopefully you'll see more of me. c:

9/8 - I've recently stripped down all of my past stories for severe editing and revision. However, I didn't have the heart to take down that crazy story that got so much attention - yeah, "Wrestling". Impressive for being a very FIRST fanfiction. I look on it now with a mixture of fondness and distaste. :D

It continues to thrive, so I continue to let it live.
