Every two years or so, I come to the realization that I need to update my profile. And since my readership is mostly all English right now, it made sense to write in English. Right?

Hi! I'm Ambre :) I'm really French, but since I have been living in the US since April 2008, I do my best to hide that fact XD (I do a pretty good job on the Internet; in Real Life, my super accent betrays me every time!). I’m currently a nanny/student. Which means I don't have a lot of free time, and I spent most of that free time fangirling about Fringe and writing stories instead of studying.

I joined ff.net in 2004. I was 15 and wrote my first fanfic about Buffy. At that time my nickname was "spuffy.4ever" I'm sure you can understand why XD

I then discovered the Harry Potter fandom online and the fanfics and most importantly: DRAYMIONE! I was quite obsessed for a while, wrote a huge HP story and got a lot of love for it so I still cherish it dearly, it was my first ever veeeery long story, my first baby, which I finished and I was very proud of that. I then fell in love with the Hermione/Snape paring, which now is my favorite in the HP fandom.

Of course all of these stories are in French because back then, I couldn't speak or write English to save my life. Not even kidding. I hated English so much because I didn't understand anything and it was frustrating.

April 2005, I discovered CSI and the GSR. New love of my life. That is when I started to work on my English, as I became part of the English fandom, along with the French Fandom. I am not kidding you when I say that fanfictions are what made my English 'so good'. That summer, I spent most of my time printing out my favorite GSR fanfics and translating them in French, all pen and paper with my old dictionary.

So between 2005 and 2008, my English greatly improved, and while I wrote all my GSR stories in French, I also took the habit of translating most of my oneshots in English too so I could share them in both fandoms. Time consuming, especially since I’m very lengthy and can’t write short stories, but still very good to improve my English.

Last year, my big obsession was Harry Potter again and the HGSS fics. I have written over 100,000 of a HGSS story (in French) and I feel so bad because it’s not finished, even though I still have so many things planned out for it. But I’m just not into HP at the moment and I can’t force myself to write just for the sake of finishing.

I discovered Fringe when it first aired in 2008, but since then I literally stopped watching TV in 2009/2010, I only watched the 1st season... Then 5 months ago (October 2010) two people in RL told me I should really watch season 2 and 3 because it was awesome. So I stopped my TV show diet and watched Fringe. All of it in 5 days XD (AND IT WAS SOME AWESOME 5 DAYS I TELL YOU). So that's when I completely fell in love with the show; I quickly found out where my fellow Fringies were fangirling, and since then I have actively and happily been part of this fantastic fandom.

My muse also seems to be unstoppable ever since Peter and Olivia stole my heart. So you will find quite a few Fringe stories here, all in English, all full of Polivia XD
