Author has written 31 stories for La Femme Nikita, X-Files, 7th Heaven, Beauty and the Beast, Judging Amy, Once Upon a Time in Mexico, Torchwood, House, M.D., NCIS, CSI, Bones, Crow, Law and Order: SVU, and Blood Ties. That critter in my icon is called a thylacine, thylacinus cynocephalus. The last known thylacine died in captivity in 1936. They were hunted to death by sheep farmers. Occasionally people report sightings of what could be living thylacines in Australia... possible but saddly unlikely. My birthday is January 17, 1969, and I am as stubborn an old goat as a Capricorn can get. I live in Michigan in the United States but due to a long story that doesn't bear repeating, I tend to use British English when I write rather than American English. (Technically it was Canadian English I got used to using.) I started writing fanfiction when, like so many other viewers, I needed a different set of events to cling to in the ill-fated Third Season of Ron Koslow's Beauty and the Beast. Although I adore Diana, without Catherine there could be no magic... which is pretty much why I think the show died. I have written a couple follow up stories to my take on the Third Season, in other catagories, because they're crossovers. I'm a LONG time Doctor Who fan, officially starting in the Tom Baker years, but I've seen some of the older episodes also and love them. David Tennant is my favourite Doctor, followed by Sylvester McCoy and nearly everybody's favourite, Tom Baker (everybody has a soft spot for their first Doctor, I think ;-) I share my life with a wonderful man, my daughter, two cats (Damien and Lilith) and a hairless dog called Mulberry, after Carl Howman's character in a series of the same name. Oh yeah, and a bunch of fish. My birthday presant in 2008 was a 100 gallon fish tank. My husband clearly loves me as he never had pets before I moved in. He also never had plants before... I have a small summer garden and am a bit of an amateur astronomer. My absolute favourite fanfiction stories are crossovers... we get to do on paper what is impossible or at least impractical in the studio. If you have any idea what that says about me, feel free to let me know ;-) I haven't even figured it out yet! As far as the small screen goes, I'm too old and have loved too many shows to name them all, but I will sit through West Wing, NCIS, and Law and Order (original, SVU and CI) marathons every time they come on, even if I've seen the episodes a dozen times over. Now if we could just get a good Torchwood marathon running... ;-) Some other series that spring to mind as favourites are: 21 Jumpstreet (cheesey but fun as long as you don't mind throwing police procedure out the window!), Beauty and the Beast (that would be Ron Koslow, not Disney), Doctor Who, Mulberry, Northern Exposure and Alien Nation (the series NOT the movie. Hated the movie.) Once again, what this says about me, I just don't know ;-) I have recently discovered/decided that writing fanfiction is incredibly fulfilling. ;-) Not that I didn't always love it for its own sake, but there is a satisifaction here... for that I thank my readers profusely.
