I'm a work-at-home Mum, and I homeschool my children. We all
love HP, but I guess I'm probably the worst (my twelve year old tells
me I have a serious problem!). I
love to write, and writing fanfiction allows me to play in this amazing
world that JKR has created. She's the queen of this sandbox...
and I try to insert the odd "tribute" to her in my stories.
I am
a faithful H/G shipper (even when it doesn't look that way in the
beginning) and absolutely abhor H/Hr -- it's just so wrong, in so many
ways -- but to each their own. I admit that, after reading HBP, I
did do a brief happy-dance and had several thoughts of "in your FACE"
towards some annoying H/Hr shippers who have flamed me in past... but
I'm normally not that petty. Normally.
I hate slash, I don't care if it exists,
and I can even appreciate that some people enjoy it, but I am on a
personal mission to see that slash fics are clearly labelled as such so
that people like me, who get the squeamies at the thought of H/D or
(eeeewwwwww!) H/Snape, don't end up being broadsided by it three chapters in to a seemingly innocent fic.
I
am so lucky to have a plethora of wonderful reviewers, who critique my
writing honestly and stroke my ego shamelessly - the special ones know
who they are, and I hope they know how much I appreciate them.
