Jackie's eyes fill with tears as she holds my hand. Neither can I. Jackie weeps into my chest and I myself can feel the tears in my eyes... Jackie: "...I just feel a lot better just talking to you about this,"Harris tells me. "I'm glad..."I tell my great-niece and hand her the rest of the plates to dry. As she dries and I wash the cups, I think back to when Roseanne's kids sometimes came to me... Jackie: ...The nightmares; they're starting again. I feel sick to my stomach and my heart is banging. Why am I having this now; I thought Roseanne and I had moved on from our childhood... Darlene: Bev, Mom, and Jackie are crying at this point. Becky, DJ, Lian, David, and I don't really know what to say at this point. "We're sorry this upset you," Becky finally says. "We have to..." Bev sniffles. "Lie down for a while...we should have known this last secret about Al and the girls would come out..." Jackie and Roseanne are still crying hard as they shakily get up from the kitchen table. Jackie gropes for another tissue, but gives up andputs a hand over her mouth. Her brows slant almost vertically as fresh tears come down her face. Roseanne clutches her as they head to the bedroom. We sit in silence for the longest time. "God...this whole other part of their past we didn't know about," DJ says shakily... Roseanne: Jackie and I make it to the basement along with Lian, DJ and several of our employees. Just in time also, I think, as the tornado's winds rise to a howl. Lian then gives a grunt, then a little scream. "What?" I say. "My...baby...I think it's coming!" Lian whispers. "Oh, God..." I groan. "I think these winds perked up its curiosity and now it wants to come join the fun." "Yeah..." Lian nods. Then she cries out and sits down shakily on the floor as the rest of us scramble around to find a cot or something...
