Hello! My name is Shay, but across the internet I am more commonly known as hues-of-hazel. And yes, before you ask, my eyes ARE hazel. I am seventeen, a proud native American, and cuddly. I am reasonably tall, around 5'7", with really long curly hair I am known for. Uh. Yeah. I wear glasses, too. And I write. A lot. But most of what I write I never post because I never finish it. D: I draw as well.

MY STORIES THAT ARE IN PROGRESS

Bonds of Blood: A series a drabbles, in chronological order, centered in a alternate Storm Hawks universe where the world is at war with Cyclonia. Two different people unite under dire circumstance to escape enemy imprisonment. It is--you guessed it-- StorkPiper, and an ongoing story that I aspire to finish. It'll have mild graphic content like violence, mentions of blood, descriptive scenes, and maybe some MILDLY sexual situations, so . . . watch out for that if any of it makes you uncomfortable.

A Nameless Shade of Grey: LoM. A man struggles with his own definition of Good and Evil, and the significance of his place straddling the blurred line inbetween. A tale that chronicles the story of the Hero, which closely follows and elaborates on the Dragon Arc. Yeah, the dragon arc--there's a part of the game that's not explored too often. This story is my priority at the moment. I really want to finish it. It also has some Jumi goodness, too, and even some Fairy arc. It shouldn't be too long, I don't expect more than maybe 10 chapters. But we'll see, that may change. There shall be a sequel, as well.

Innocence & Instinct: KH. It is eternal, like love, like spite; perpetual, like the rising and setting of the sun. Olette sees the proof every time she closes her eyes, and even on the bright side of twilight she knows: The Darkness never ends. RikuOlette. I have a lot of ideas for this, but I hate it already! XD The writing is awful...But I'm probably gonna keep at it. The story's too big to keep locked up in my head. Bah.

Up Coming Stories (Maybe):

As some people may or may not know, I love the Legend of Mana--it's my all-time favorite game. For the past several months, I've been mapping out a series of LoM novels that revolve mostly around characters in the game that weren't given much attention, and some that were. I have stories roughly planned for Lisa, Bud, Rachel and Escad, and Pearl. I'll probably plan more stories for other characters like Sierra and Lark and Flameshe--there are endless possibilities with all of the wonderful characters in that amazing game, and I wish to explore every one I can. I've called the series Something to Believe In, and, hopefully, I'll post the first story soon! Cross your fingers. XD

Moira:

After four years of leading a double life, and a entire existence of unanswered questions, Rachel begins to experience mysterious visions whenever she sleeps. With the bone-deep sense of something large looming ever closer, she dismisses her own insecurities in order to find answers to her endless questions; however, as Thesenis' ominous predictions begin to steadily fall into place, and a strange man who claims to have been somehow brought back from the underworld suddenly and inexplicably appears, Rachel finds that her own destiny is much larger and tangled than anyone could have foreseen.

Awakening:
a sequel of sorts to A Nameless Shade of Grey "It began with a letter." It's been well over a year since the Jumi race has been resurrected by the legendary teardrop crystal. However, not everything in the bejewled city is as peaceful as it seems. Sandra has disappeared, and the once great Lady Blackpearl is slowly and secretly crumbling as Pearl herself is starting to lose sight of who she truly is. As the body both minds share begins to weaken under the strain of her internal conflict, Pearl must once again go out into the dangerous world of Fa'Diel to seek the missing piece to Estanel, and save herself from obscurity.

The Ebony Hourglass:
Remember how Gaeus predicted that Bud would be a great mage and have his name known throughout all four corners of Fa'Diel in about 75 years in the future (or something along those lines)? Yeah, this is my own quirky idea of how that happens. Not really what everyone will expect, I'm sure. Also included in the story: Esmerelda, Watts and the Naga!...Still a long way from being written, however. Not until I've finished Shade of Gray and started Moira, at least.

The Ashes of Yore (tentative title):
"The phoenix hope can wing her way through the desert skies, and still defying fortune's spite revive from ashes and rise." When Lisa leaves home to search for her missing twin brother, her journy is brought to an abrupt halt in Polpota Harbour, where she becomes unintentionally tangled in the shenanigans of a flirtatious thief by the name of Ren. Quite suddenly labeled as his accomplice by none other than Inspector Boyd, Lisa has no choice but to flee along with the strange young man as a fugitive. OHOHO! A somewhat amusing story about LISA! I love Lisa! I love Bud too, but Lisa's such a sweet kid, man. Set a good six or seven years after the events of LoM but also in the same universe as my other LoM novels. Some of it takes place at the same time the Ebony Hourglass does--actually, what happens to Bud in Hourglass is what motivates Lisa to leave home and search for him...

I don't know what else there is to say about myself. I love to play video games, and Legend of Mana in particular holds a special place in my heart. I'm a lonely person really, but when I write or read or play a video game, I feel connected to something. That's why I love fanfiction and fandom so much. There's a lot of love here that you just don't have in real life. Music is amazing as well--I love music with meaning, something heartfelt and true. I'm a sensative person, if you haven't already guessed, ahaha.

I dream of mystic knights and silver moons and starlight shimmering on water; I like to pretend, sometimes, that I'm fair and that a great and beautiful knight will catch me when I fall for him. It's one of my favorite daydreams, and somehow a part of me screams that it will become a reality someday, against all the odds--even though I am more of a warrior woman than a delicate maiden. I don't know if I believe it, but the thought is wonderful.

I have a lot of dreams, and I love the night sky. I love the color white, and I love weapons. Yes, weapons. Swords, poles, you name it. Martial arts is something I love and practice, as well. I love the friends I have with all my heart. They don't understand me too well, and all the things I've written here I can't tell them. Despite this, they love me too, for the strange girl I am.

I am generally a happy person. I see a lot of beauty in the world around me, a lot to be thankful for, and it makes me happy. Sometimes I get carried away in my daydreams and sunny disposition and people stare, but it's something you get used to after almost 18 years.

I put a lot of myself and what I feel into my writing. When you read my stories, I hope that you can feel connected to me somehow.

Roxas because I know what it's like to be told that you're worthless and trying to rise above it.
