Author has written 4 stories for Lord of the Rings.

Hey everybody! First off, I would like to thank you for visiting my humble profile! Below I will tell you all just a little about my self and list the few stories/poems that I have composed. Later, I will let you in on some sneak peaks for a few other stories that have been rattling around in my head since the First Age. So with out further ado:

My real name is Ashley. I am a freshman in high school, but some have mistaken me for a freshman in college. I am a total perfectionist when it comes to my grades and it makes my report card look beautiful.

I love to sing (I'm not that bad at all) And my favorite things to sing would be anything from Evanescence or Phantom of the Opera (I can hitalmost all of the high notes!)I also enjoy playing my piano…usually stuff from Evanescence (while singing) or Pirates of the Caribbean.

My all time favorite actor would be Johnny Depp followed closely by Viggo Mortenson, then Antonio Banderas.

I am a total Lord of the Rings fanatic...it began before the movies were created so I can say that I am a true fan! I first read the books when I was in fifth grade and have been attached ever since. My friend Meghan is almost as obsessed as I am so it makes for interesting conversations during band class.

I love to write--plain and simple. I have recently deviled into poetry and have excelled in it. I recently participated in a poetry contest with 725 contestants and finished first. The poem that I entered will be listed below for I have posted it on this site!

Enough about me here is my list of my compositions:

A Yearning for Home The night before returning home to Imladris, Aragorn becomes ill and travels towards him home with thoughts of a better time. When he reaches Rivendell, Aragorn is reminded of the love and compassion that he had longed for while he was residing in the wilderness with his fellow Rangers. Winner (along with Deana) of the Wood-Elf Challenge: Pick your Poison. One-Shot: Complete

Forever Friends "You are my breath, you are my light, you give me reason to live through the night." A short poem about the immense friendship and care that Aragorn and Legolas share. Slightly disorganized. Poem:Complete

The Light in the Darkness "There is no where else to fall, for I have fallen all the way. Now I have to crawl if I want tosee another day." A light can be found even in the darkest situations. There will always be someone there to guide you down the paths of life. Winner of large contest mentioned above. Poem: Complete

A Father's Mistake Legolas and his father have a huge fight in which blows were dealt. Legolas runs away from his father’s halls determined to go to Imladris. He meets up with the Sons of Elrond and Glorfindel and falls into a whirlwind of dangerous situations. Will the bridge between the King of Mirkwood and his son ever be repaired? Slightly AU Story: Work in Progress.

False Accusations After being falsely accused of an act against a village, Aragorn and Legolas are held prisoner to an unforgiving village and religion. Though their will to live is strong, will it be strong enough to face the calling comforts of the Halls of Mandos? Torture and Poison Story: Work in Progress.

NEWS:

August 10, 2005: Due to recent...events, the update that I promised you two weeks ago, will be delayed. My sincere apologies. I really did intend to keep my date, but life doesn't always care about your plans. As soon as I finish the chapters, they will be sent to my beta and edited. For future stories, they will be pre-written before I even think of starting the posting. Sorry everyone but I am working hard to find time to update.

July 24, 2005: I am leaving for camp tomorrow and will not get back until the 3rd of August. I absolutely promise to have an update for both of my stories shortly after my return. Thanks for waiting so patiently. Maybe I will be able to fit a new poem or one-shot in there too, but I am making no promises.

July 19, 2005: "False Accusations” and “A Father’s Mistake” are currently being revised so they have temporarily been delayed to provide time for me to improve the earlier chapters BUT the next chapter for “A Father’s Mistake” is currently in the works.
