Called 'Kin' and 'Hunters', these two mutated factions teeter between peace and dangerous violence with more traditional humans. And so, in order to adapt, the government has formed an enforcement group comprised of men and woman trained to handle both sections of mutants. Enter Leander Kale, and his partner, Epsilon Maddox. Both Kin themselves, they have spent more time fighting people on their own team then bad guys. Between their colored pasts and a man who wants nothing more then to see them both in jail for the rest of their lives, the two struggle for something like respect and trust among their peers. When the agency they work for falls under attack from the inside out, Leander's partner is Prime Suspect A, and Leander must decide just how far he trusts Epsilon, on top of trying to find the real threat to himself and his friends. To make matters worse, a beautiful young woman needing protection is being ruthlessly pursued by Hunters, Leander's only friends in this mess are too busy fighting sexual tension to be of any help, and in the end it might very well be the entire agency itself that Leander must fight to save himself and his loved ones. And who is this guy with the cats?
