Author has written 6 stories for Fate/stay night, Fire Emblem, and Code Geass. Updated August 17th: Due to business with orientation and running events for school, all writing temporarily on hold. For more information about myself and my other writings, it might be a good idea to check out my livejournal. I am a rather serious and reserved individual, a perfect example of a Kuudere (courtesy of TVTropes). I have strong and unwavering opinions, but I will remain polite and respectful on the sidelines until I find action to be absolutely necessary. I find it more than a little ironic that my RL-name carries connotations of this as well. My fandom is of course, Fire Emblem, though I do find others calling to me on rarer occasions. I specialize in the Tellius-verse, though I do like the other series as well. Other interests of note include Fate/Zero (also Stay/Night) and obviously, the Arthurian tradition. I am a student of the natural sciences in real life, though I try to be as well rounded as I could be. Occasionally, I indulge myself with 80s cartoons and heart-wrenchingly dramatic anime, such as Code Geass, Sakura Wars or Fist of the North Star, and you'll see many of these influences pop up subconsciously in my writing. But, I digress. I treat fanfiction like an academic subject. To me, fanfiction is serious business - something that doesn't have to be limited by the self-imposed limitations that we often place on fanfiction. Many people use fanfiction as a venue to unleash their stress and frustration. A method of escape, so to speak. I don't disagree with this - because all of us do it to some degree. However, I feel that there is a lot more to simple creativeness. We write because we're in a sense, writing for others as well. To share the things we've found, and to share the joys and sorrows that is life itself. If we wrote solely for ourselves, none of this would have been posted in the first place. I am no wide-eyed idealist. Consider me the Knight in Sour Armor, if you must be realistic. But I believe that it's much more worthwhile to try to write the opposite spectrum, rather than the typical, run-of-the-mill grimdark that is found in our culture and lives these days. If reading fiction is a method of escape, why not go for an Utopia? You'll find, though, should you take upon the quest to write something that's meant to be positive as a whole, that the writing process is immensely difficult. Try it. It is hard to write someone who is actively trying to be good, or kind, or doing the right thing. But it is rewarding - infinitely more gratifying - when you could connect with writing as a whole. To those who may see the world through the same lens as I do, I try to work in very subtle things to inspire and to reaffirm those values. To those who are seeking the truth, and to those who are a little more sour than I am, I'd like to try to bring a little smile to your face. Surprisingly enough, the world is indeed a fine place, and worth fighting for. Beneath Azure Skies is currently on-hold due to various reasons. Progress is slower than before. Fortune's Providence is currently being worked on. | |||||||||||||
