Author has written 4 stories for Fruits Basket. I'm a housewife and I have a kid. To escape, I read manga and watch anime and write--and now, I'm writing fanfiction.. Let me know what you think! So I'm guessing I should add a little bit more about myself...(sigh) I hate talking about myself. Things I like: 80s new wave music, writing (obviously), editing other people's writing, cons, being an anonymous person in a faceless crowd, manga, anime, goth/punk affectations, baking, and dancing in my living room. Things I don't like: R&B, constantly chipper people, pink cashmere sweaters, austentatious jewelry, perpetual victims, writers who don't make an effort to keep their characters in character, and banging my appendages into furniture while I'm dancing in my living room (the bruise on my arm finally disappeared after 2 weeks). As I've just started writing fanfiction, my focus is primarily the anime/manga series 'Fruits Basket'. Why? There are so many characters and the potentials of development and possibilities are mind-boggling! I prefer the manga to the anime, so most of my stories will probably be based on that. Other series I'm considering writing fics for (once I get out of the furuba obsession enough to pay attention to them) are Inuyasha (I know, I know), Revolutionary Girl Utena (if I can ever get my husband to let me finish watching the series, lol!), and Silent Mobius. My tastes tend to run towards shojo, so don't expect any Gundam or NG Evangelion-based stories from me (though some Gundam series are quite good and Evangelion is a must-see for every anime fan!). And, much as I adore anything by Watase Yuu, I will probably never touch Fuushigi Yuugi or Ayashi no Ceres. Those series stand up so well on their own that I don't think I'd have anything to add to them_ Well, that's me. Please read and review whatever fics you feel appeal to you. I welcome comments, criticism and questions! Flamers, however, will be sent to the hell dimension that is my dream plane...just kidding. Maybe. I am also a member of the Fruity Robins. I'm number2 on the list-my appellation in that group is Adria. In addition to our primary roundrobin story we'll also be posting the results of plot challenges by various writers on the list (my fic 'Grownups' is one of them). We're all good writers- some of us have even won awards--but, sadly, not me. Please read and review any stories by the Fruity Robins! 8/2/2006: I know that I said that I've nearly finished LtoF... and I haven't. The muse decided to take an extended vacation, during which time I had to dump all my files and reformat my computer; thankfully, I was able to write Chapter 26 of LtoF to disc, so I can hopefully convince my finicky cd-reader to copy the file to my harddrive. The last few chapters of this story will shift focus from Tamae-chan to Shigure, which is why I am having so much difficulty with writing this--knowing where the story has gone in the manga, I'm having a hard time staying in my own AU. Once things settle down, however, I will make a concerted effort to finish this story, as it's been nearly two years since I began writing it and I'd like to give Tamae's and Shigure's story the ending it deserves. 9/30/2008: Okay, I know it's been a really, really long time (two years is a super long time! @_@) since I've updated LtoF. In my head, they still aren't finished. I had lots of plans for Tamae, but I'm afraid she's simply not ambitious enough for the campaign I had for her. She has simple desires. We've gotten into several fights over it, actually. Not to say that real life hasn't gotten in the way and whatnot--it has--but the fact remains that I just plain got lazy. I was re-reading the story (and its obvious horrible, glaring errors) and realized that there's still a story here. I just need to finish picking my butt up off the ground and finish writing it. Thanks to everyone who has read it and stuck with it. I appreciate everyone's support for this little-known ficcy. _ Hopefully, I'll be able to finish it soon. | |||||||||
