Hello everyone, old friends and new. Those who have enjoyed my fics will be happy to hear I have plans to finish them this summer, something which has been long overdue. I simply haven't taken the time recently and before then I was on a church mission for 18 months in Switzerland; so, no time then.
My love for J.K. Rowling's creation has held from the first book to the last, which has led me to read so many stories from so many others who have enjoyed this world as much as I have. All of which is why I will keep my promise and finish what I began. This is a last loose end--though enjoyable--before I embark in publishing a story of my own, the premise of which involves a world beneath the sea, an idea I have been working on for months.
I hope you enjoy these stories, in the hopes that I may touch on the spirit of Rowling's writing, provoking thought and powerful emotion to take us deeper into these people and into ourselves.
Sincerely,
ShadowedHand
P.S. 9 February 2008: I apologise for the lack of progress in my stories. I can only say that I am attempting to do well in school and cannot have my concentration so divided, although that has not held me back from reading other stories, which have been my stress-reliever. Again, I apologise. School ends in April--perhaps before then I can update, if I get ahead in my assignments, but it may take awhile. I am sorry.
On another note, you'll notice I do have many favorites, but a story I discovered recently has become one of or possibly THE favorite story of mine. It's called "Grease," a, what else, Harry and Severus fic. It's clean, it's insightful, it's well-written and touching and I have to say very worthwhile. It's a story that reveals Snape's character, his anguish and his care for Harry without overt sappiness or surrealism. It's an amazing piece of writing and I think the author should publish stories of their own someday. I highly recommend it.
