Dislikes: Rude people, badly written fanfics that don't connect, smut, flames, shonen/shojo ai, (sorry, I'm not against gay/lesbian, in fact, my best friend is bi, but I just don't want to read really graphic stuff about it,) badly spaced stories, (paragraphs, please!) etc.
edit: One of the things about fanfiction that pisses me off the most is when an author just says in their summary;

First error: Grammar. Fanfiction.net says EXPLICITLY that stories have to be proof read. Yes, I know there is a word limit on summaries. I deal with it, and any good author can.
Second error: Summaries are giving a brief blurb about stories. If you're not good at writing summaries, how can you think that anyone is going to think that you're good at writing period?
Third Error: They're not giving a summary. They're just revealing that they're bad at summaries and want feedback.
Finale: Guess what? I might look over the story. If it's along the same lines of the summary, (bad grammar, computer lingo, etc,) then I will report it. Now, I know I'm not the best writer, and do make mistakes. But if somone just posts crap because they want compliments--I'm reporting it. And I normally don't do this, and am a very well mannered person. I've just had it up to HERE with stories like that.

Fav. Naruto Pairings/characters:
Naruto: Going through a Neji/Saku phase. (tell me about your neji/saku fics please! ) Gaara/Saku, (interesting when the writer can write it well.) Sasu/Saku, Kaka/Saku, Naru/Saku, (rarely, but there are some good ones...) etc. Practically any pairing with Sakura except for those involving Ino (It's just that not many people can write it well. Shikamaru and Ino are hard to depict without stereotyping.)
Wow. I'm addicted to Shika/Saku now. Kinda sad, especially since in most stories he's a bum who doesn't care. Oh well. n.n;; (reads more Shika/Saku stories)
edit: However, due to the fact that Sakura/Neji pairings are rare, I have opted instead to reading Neji/Tenten fanfiction. Tenten is ok, but she's not Sakura. U_U
second edit: No hinata/neji! I'm sorry people, but they are COUSINS. I have lots of male cousins my age, and, well, eww. Had they been born a generation earlier, they would be BROTHER AND SISTER. I know Neji hates Hinata, and every author wants a challange. I myself have heard the calling, ((points at neji/saku story,)) I just don't want to read it. ((gags)) That would be like me snogging Alter. ((much distaste is expressed vhelemently on both sides.))
Another thing. I have an issue with Itachi, which was brought up by Leafygirl's story. (She is so talented!) Yes, Itachi IS hot, he IS sexy, and he DOES have killer hair. However, he happens to be a MASS MURDERER. He's like Sadam Hussein, only hotter. I hear people going on about how they wish they could zap Itachi out of the manga/anime and smooch him, and I kind of get this funny look on my face... He was able to kill his entire family, and torture his brothers for (what felt like,) hours on end, and feel no remorse. Why on earth would he suddenly turn humane and romantic? That's why I appreciate well written ItachixSakura stories. The good ones show him in a LITTLE bit better light, but it's very hard to not bash your head repeatedly on the computer when he gets all compassionate. That doesn't mean I flame said stories! Constructive critizm yes, but saying "this sucks" defeats the point and gets the author(ess) all depressed.
Fav characters: (in order!)
Naruto. Our favorite not-so heroic hero. What would we do without him?
Lee. The eyebrows, the Ringo Starr hair, and "good-guy smile." 'Nuff said.
Neji. He is such a cool character! There should be more about him in the manga.
Sakura. She is strong, yet realistically girly. So awsome!
Kakashi. Mua ha ha. What really goes on behind that mask?
Sasuke. He has yet to answer the time-old question. Does he jell his hair?
InuYasha favorite pairings/characters:
Don't really care, as long as it's well written, except no Naraku pairings. That guy gives me the creeps.

How long are your average chapters?
Errrgh... Fanfiction says that the average length of my chapters is 8,000 words, but that's with my super-short one shot "Inner Sasuke." Approximately fifteen to nineteen pages on Microsoft word, font size eleven.
How long does it take to write a chapter?
Mmm... I'd say eight to twelve hours per chapter. The first chapter of TTB took two days, but that was because I wrote it out on paper first.
Do you actually take a week to write?
H_l NO! I get bored easily, and I can't write for a week straight. Plus, I have a life.
Then what the h_l are you doing the rest of the week!

Hi anyone who is reading this! Alter still has food poisoning, (she's looking better, but she's still throwing up all the time.) Microsoft Word says that the newest chapter for "Tale of Two Blankets" is ten pages long, and Former still hasn't added a lot of the stuff she wants to, so there's no telling how long it will be, or when it will be done. Luckily, she hasn't run into any writer's block, so it shouldn't be too long. Give it a week, at most.

Chapter two for Tale of Two Blankets is up on Mediaminer and Fanfiction, after ten gueling hours of Alter celebrating her full recovery from food poisoning by sitting on Former's back to get her to write the new chapter. Tale of Two Blankets' status has changed from one-shot to three part, because there are lots of things that Former wants to add that isn't in the story that Alter has deleted because she thinks that sixteen page chapters are too long. (grumbling is heard at this point coming from Former, and is quickly silenced by Alter.) Expect a new chapter within a week!

Yup. Some of you are wondering why Lia hasn't written the new chapter. And some of you are wondering why she hasn't even started yet. And even more of you are wondering what the h_l I am doing with Lia's laptop editing her profile. The answer? Lia is being lazy, and proclaims she won't work until the inspiration bug bites her. I am editing her profile because as her beta, I deserve a place of honor. Which is why I am purposefully typing away in the middle of the night--er, morning, fixing her profile so that it is beautifully wonderful, like the beautiful golden brown leaves that fall from the oak trees in the eaves of fall. The fact that said leaves turn slimey and start to rot quickly has nothing to do with it, and is beside the point.
I will see you all again when Former gets off her lazy as$ and starts writing the new chapter,

P.S. After searching our cellar fruitlessly, I cannot find this "inspiration bug" that Former speaks of. I have opted instead to use regular spiders on her as$. I cannot be held responsable for the actions that said spiders might do to Former's as$. Such actions might include biting, stinging, crawling around on arms in an unpleasant manner, and all around creepyness that might invoke certain emotions that forward screaming, kicking, slapping self, jumping, and all around panic. Me again. You're probably wondering what I'm doing on Former's account again. The truth is, I've found out what her password is and have had much fun hacking into her account and fixing her profile. (Mua ha.)
Any-ho, the point of this post is that Former is ranting about how she's written herself into a corner, and doesn't know how to continue, and has whatcha-ma-callit. Writer's block. She complained that she was so frustrated that it feels like a hammer is pounding away at her brain. Sooo, I forced her to pick up her laptop and forced her to revise the new chapter again so that she's happy and I can finally beta somthing. Yes, she just finished revising chapter one, and is now happily acting like she is on crack or another one of those "fun" drugs. (Just kidding! Drugs are BAD!) I sent her to the corner, where she is sulking because I insulted her parentage because she she wouldn't frigg'n work on thenew chapter, while I go look for a hammer to pound away at her brain with.
Ahhh... Poetic Justice. Gotta love it.
Buuut... A couple of key plot points have been changed, so a notice to our readers has been issued to re-read chapter one. Now to make Former write the new chapter...

Alter speaking. You're probably to the point of thowing slightly overripe fruit at me, but have patience, young locusts. Former is at a doctor's appointment, and will be back in a couple of hours.
Anyway, (or to quote Former, any-ho. What is it with her and that term!) Former has started the third chapter. In otherwords, the ants in her pants worked, and "insperation bug" is code for daddy-longlegs. (Woot!) Unfortunately, at the precise moment that she finished the review responses, she realized that she had not finished the new Harry Potter book, (...) which ensued in her not touching the computer for the rest of the evening with her nose buried in one of those old-fangled "boookes" thing-a-majigs. As a result, the chapter is nowhere near being done.
...I'll see you when Former gets off her lazy as$...

I... have been betrayed. Former requested paper and the ducky pen, (it's the only pen that she uses to write her stories...Don't ask,) and I assumed that she was writing the new chapter of Tale of Two Blankets, and was overjoyed.
She was not.
It turns out she got bitten by the bug again, and is writing a NEW oneshot. And she says it doesn't have any romance in it! I'm so mad!
But then she told me that it was to cheer up aznanime-eyes, and I felt better.
Anyway, expect it soon! (grumbles)

I know Former promised you that all updates would be recorded in her live journal. But this isn't an update. (well, sort of...) I, AlterAurora... Have been BETRAYED. Former has, not only been ignoring Tale of Two Blankets, not only has written a completely different fic while she should be working on chapter three of TTB, but has also been writing a CANNON ONE SHOT. Yes, Former has turned her back on the Non-cannon community. And she want's me to beta it! Yeah right. I think all of the positive feedback on TTB has gone to her head. (glares venomously at Former.) Anyway... Expect a NejixTenten story soon. (Sighs in a depressed manner and goes back to re-reading Zarrah-chan's fics)

Dear readers,
A couple of months ago, I was at my wits end at the lack of good Neji/Sakura fanfiction, and was quite prepared to turn my attentions to Neji/Tenten. (I even dabbled in briefly writing a ficlet about the afore mentioned pair, though I retained enough sense to not post it.) I would have lost all hope, had I not been reading "Wedding, The" by landladyoftheuniverse, and spontaniously discovered that Neji is distinctly Mr. Darcy-ish. Such a discovery should be announced to the world, in hopes of encouraging more authors to write more about Neji!
Uh... Yeah. That's the end of my announcement. (It sounded a lot better in my head.)

Dear readers,
Formeraurora is going on vacation! She will not be back for four weeks, and will have NO access to a computer. (She is quickly typing this, as her plane leaves in an hour.) Due to her solitary confinement, she will not be able to respond to reviews, messages, and other forms of communication.

Hello again!
Former is BACK!
...Actually, she's been back for a while, but school is ever-so time consuming.
Anyway, back to the point of this update. Former has an story idea buzzing around somewhere in the dusty, spider-webbed corners of her brain. Really brill, but sadly she has had NO LIFE for fanfiction. She plans on picking up the 'ol duck pen in two weeks, but until then she is mostly off the computer, although she did just let off a long, angry rant at a Mary-Sue/self inserter writer. The weirdo was trying to set herself up with Danny from Danny Phantom, while at the same time pull off freakishly coloured hair. A clear case of fangirl syndrome if I ever saw one.
Then again, maybe she shouldn't have been so harsh... :x
Oh well. What's done is done. Anyway, the newish story is gonna be a SakuraSasuke Naruto story, (cue gasp), from Lee's point of view. Former is very excited, and thinks it will be very fun once she pulls herself out of the endless pit that is Honours English.
