My name's Elyse. I have an English degree and a copyediting certificate. I enjoy the irony, because my stories are rarely edited (Tigress's Song, anyone?) but I hope to change that soon. If it isn't obvious, I'm a Dynasty Warriors fan and have been since the third one was released. Now I feel old. I also feel silly, because most of my video game collection is survival horror based. UPDATE 11/7/09: You will be happy to know that news of my death has been greatly exaggerated. And no, I have not given up on any of my stories - new, old or forthcoming. I'll put more information in the blog for those of you who truly care (you silly people), but here is the reader's digest version of events. I spend about 6 hours every day at work and then another 6 or so doing graduate work. I injured my hips and was out of commission for over a month, and now I have a massive tattoo on my thigh that restricts my walking even more. I moved into a new apartment with a friend who has never lived away from home before. I got a new laptop so that I can write for more than 30 minutes without worrying about my battery. And now I have a job interview coming up. Yeah, life's been a little crazy. But never fear. I have new chapters for all of my stories ready to be posted. The problem lies in editing them and getting them up with no time to do so. My last graduate final is on Christmas Eve. After that, look for new stuff to be posted. I'm hoping to get stuff up before that, but I make no promises. And to everyone who sent me messages and left me reviews that I haven't answered yet, I will get to them as soon as I'm able. Thanks to everyone for their patience as I try and work through my insanity, and I will be back as soon as things have cleared.

Prince of Persia: The Temple of the Stars - A PoP fanfic that I've been working on ever since the game came out for the PS3 console, set after the Epilogue. Elika has left the Prince in search of her people to stop Ahriman. The Prince is in search of Elika to make sure his gift is not wasted. He finds himself in Babylon and, with the help of its mysterious king and queen, finds the Ahura princess and prepares for battle. As they seek out Ormazd and a way to stop the Dark God, they will be forced to make greaters sacrifices and take greater leaps of faith than either of them might be able to handle.

A Warrior's Pledge (working title) - Original Character - Ran Long; Xu Huang has dedicated his life to walking the warrior's path. But during a time of peace, he again questions why he must fight to achieve this when it only causes suffering. He finds his answer in the daughter of one of Cao Cao's advisors. He also finds a challenge he never expected. It will take all of his strength to overcome the obstacles of his past, the problems of the present and the incertainty of the future.
