Basic Stats

Hair: Long, curly, poufy, dark brown(can't do a damn thing with it; that's why hats are my bag, baby)
Eyes: Myopic Grey
Gender: Yes
Height: 5' 10" ish, depending on the yardstick
Weight: slightly less than a metric ton
Car: 1996 Pontiac Bonneville
Pets: Not any more...sigh
Occupation: Misc.
Loves: HP (erm, like duh?),best matesStar Trek, X-Files (more movies please, Carter,) reading, listening to music 25 hrs a day, sister Beka, writing, drawing, singing 25 hours a day, Uh-oh Oreos, and my NEPHEWS and NIECES!! Actually, pretty much all kids rawk, seeing as how they aren't mine... .
Hobbies: Ogling Harleys--Shovelheads VRRROOOMMMMM, lowriders, superglides... siiiigggghhhh, toll painting, cooking (I LURVE spicing up Italian dishes), four-tracking (four-wheeling,) off-roading (trucks are my LIFE!), camping, snow-machining, making up song parodies...the list goes on, really...
Food Dislikes: CAKE (BLEAH! I can totally agree w/Radcliffe on this one--because when one eats cake, they must generally eat frosting...which I also HATE...eeeccchhhh), nearly all fish (except red snapper and brook trout), brussels sprouts, milk ick, almost anything bland. Gimmie spicy! I put pepper on EVERYTHING...eggs, soup, broccoli, corn, pasta (marinara), and garlic toast...
General Dislikes: people who are disrespectful of my clients, ditto w/family and friends (bullies at all I guess), idiotic politicians (Ex. Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld), people who cut me off in traffic, people who steal my "Support Our Troops" yellow ribbon magnets off my car (YES, this really HAPPENED!) "Reality" TV/TV in general, rap music (rap is "crap" with a silent C--except Will Smith, Beastie Boys, Rage/Machine), hip hop (most, not all), pop music (Britney, J. Lo, any Boy Bands, Hilary, Celine--you can all kiss my ruddy wand)
Favourite Music: I have waaaaay too many favey bands/songs, so I'll name the basic genre instead; ones I can remember, anyway: Indie/Brit Rock (The Killers/Muse) Old-School Punk (Ramones/Pistols), Heavy Metal (old-school Metallica), Acid Rock (Motorhead), Death Metal (Suicidal Tendencies), Hard Rock (AC/DC), Big Hair Bands--until they get too whiny (Poison), New Wave (Depeche Mode), oldies (60s and 70s), 80s Butt Rock, and basic weirdness/avante garde in general: KISS, Twisted Sister, Bloodhound Gang, Weird Al, Tom Lehrer, Bob Rivers, etc, some classical/romantic (Brahms, Verdi), SOUNDTRACKS...and a bit of inspirational...on occasion. But by far, the best band EVER--would have to be...the Monkees! HAHAHAHAAHAAAA! Unsung brilliance in my opinion.
Tattoos/Unusual Scars: No tattoos; too many scars to count, really. I do have one on my left ring finger that looks like a heart...it was from a case of chicken pox when I was 9. I've also got a long one across the bridge of my nose from when I glass smashed on it when I was 15, oh yeah and I also have one down my stomach which looks like a zipper because of the 33 staples used to hold it together...snigger Zipper Chic!

I enjoy doing fan chat, fan art, fan fiction, composing Harry Potteresque music...you get the idea. I am also a rabid Dan fan. The man is brill! Living out here in the American Northwest, there's not loads to do...hrm. I'm a latecomer to the franchise; until April 2004, I was a certified card-carrying member of the Harry Potter Loathers Society. Then I actually READ the books...(facepalm) The rest is history! In college, I wrote fiction for a published scifi zine so I know more than a bit of what I'm doing here...=)
All I ask is that you give my work a read, and let me know what you think. I'm open to CONSTRUCTIVE criticism, but if you have loads to say, please use my email on this page. I have a wide variety of work, as I write in just about every genre save slash. Slash just ruins the magic for me, and causes intense worry in my brain for those poor people who wrote it...LOL

Many, many people have repeatedly asked me where I get my ideas, and how I am able to write about Harry the way I do. In a rather blanket way, I feel it only fair that I reply. Quite honestly, however, there is no single answer for this question. And I must unequivocally state it is definitely more inspiration than personal talent or ability. In other words, I don't write these stories: THEY write ME. So I suppose in some ways, especially since it was not me who created Harry Potter, it feels nearly...arrogant to call these stories "my writing", but for the sake of argument, that's how I shall refer to them. Here are just a few of the resources/reasons from which my imagination springs:

1) J. K. Rowling
2) Dan Radcliffe
3) Jim and Oliver Phelps
4) Bonnie Wright
5) Rupert Grint
6) Emma Watson
7) personal experiences/emotions
8) fellow HP enthusiasts/friends
9) music
10) drawing/sketching
11) life in general

I would like to think one can find inspiration in anything, even amongst the bad--for without it, one would never be able to truly appreciate the good they experience. All we need to do is look with the right attitude.
Okay, sorry--off the soapbox.

Setting: Immediately Following Book 5

Harry Gets Even--this one was inspired by all of the people whom I know (including myself)--living and dead--who have been through major car accidents. The thoughts of car crashing and such, have been on my mind for quite some time, but I wrote this...and then my brother got in a one-car accident and rolled his car four times--he was hurt--but miraculously walked away from it. Shortly before that, my "second" mum got hit by a car whilst she was in a crosswalk--and was in a coma for a week before she died. I suppose my work here is a way of journalising and dealing with my thoughts of the trauma of death and accidents. ONE IMPORTANT THING: Not only is this fiction, but I would appreciate people NOT telling me these things can't happen. They can--I've watched and experienced them myself. Please keep in mind that ALL of Harry's experiences inside and outside of the car (save for the charms and wands of course) have ACTUALLY HAPPENED, to me or someone I know, whilst dealing with car crash situations. I suppose I might break the experiences down for you, and let you know who dealt with what, but I feel that would be too pedantic. FRIENDS AND LOVED ONES--THIS CHAPTER IS DEDICATED TO THE PRESERVATION OF YOUR MEMORIES

Harry Gets Even--Chap. 2 The Fright Bus--I figured since Harry was going to have a death experience, why not use the things he already knows, and twist and wrinkle them a bit? I mean, the Knight Bus itself is already dreadful, after all. Also, when someone goes through a death experience--i.e. is catatonic or in a coma, or even clinically dead--what is happening with them? What are they seeing in their minds? Are their experiences different from ours? Are they dreaming about us--their friends, family, earthly experiences--the living? Can what they see be influenced by external stimuli? Hmmmmm...

Harry Gets Even--Chap. 3 Home Is Where the Heart Isn't--We already know from previous HP books that ghosts aren't very happy people, largely due to the fact they can't bring their minds from thoughts of death. We also know that ghosts are capable of helping out or taking pity on someone--as in the case of Nearly Headless Nick getting Peeves to drop an expensive wardrobe from a great height whilst Harry was being reamed out in Filch's office. But a reason some ghosts are more frightening than others is because basic personality is leftover from their real lives--that's why a Bloody Baron is so scary!
From this I contemplated: what would our dear Harry be like as a ghost? I'd wager he would be little different from how he is whilst alive--which is one of the reasons Ginny wasn't in the least bit surprised to hear him rambling on about things nobody would care to hear about otherwise. Harry is many things, but adept at being a comforter is not necessarily one of them. He would however, be overcome with compassion with seeing someone so sad--regardless if it's because of his OWN death--Harry would do his utmost to try and alleviate their pain. That's just the way he is. He doesn't like to watch anyone suffer--especially his friends.

Harry Gets Even--Chap. 4 Past, Present, and Personal--An unobvious Harry/Ginny ship, but definitely not the typical one. I believe the books contain hints about an inevitable relationship between these two characters. It will not, however, be obvious to those involved. Although not readily apparent why Ginny can see him and nobody else in the living world is able (save Hedwig), the fact that she CAN, in itself, is highly significant. Harry is finally able to talk to Ginny in a healthy one-to-one convo--healthy, excepting he's dead. But why? Finding himself in desperate need of answers and human companionship--after all ghosts get lonely too--Harry stays with a distraught Ginny in order to reassure her, but she helps him out instead...and he gets much more than bargained for in the process! NOTICE Sorry slashers, no "spirit snoggies" between these two! After all--Harry is a ghost; if he touched her, she'd get frozen out! Also this isn't Hollywood, and Harry isn't Patrick Swayze...=P

Harry Gets Even--Chap. 5 Harry Potter, Dangerous Renegade--If you came across a friend who had passed on, and they had no memory of their death or the events surrounding it, what would you tell them? Could you even say it? Would you be able to explain to them how they...DIED? In this chapter, Ginny not only has to help Harry remember HOW he died, but has to explain he was accused and convicted of murder for the very event that claimed his own life. Harry also finds out something very special in his past which involves Sirius in a way he'd never fathomed, however. Sorting through the injustice of it all, Ginny deals admirably with an understandably furious Harry--as nobody else--save Hermione perhaps--could. She constantly grounds his errant thoughts and brings him back to the reality of the situation, which is just what he needs to focus his racing memories.

Harry Gets Even--Chap. 6 A Friend In Deed--As this chapter goes on, it becomes apparent to Harry that the Ministry of Magic was fully involved in a wizarding world snow job which dragged his name through the mud and branded him as nothing but a "gross teenaged murderer". How could this have happened? The Ministry hadn't even spoken to the party--Harry--whom they charged; misplaced critical evidence, nixed testimony, and lack of information all seem to have contributed. Not only that, but it appears sentencing and deliberations had been passed down before our poor wizard boy had even passed away at hospital. Talk about perverse injustice. Whilst attempting to bring to light various things Harry had missed in ensuing days after the crash, Ginny inadvertently stumbles onto the reason why Harry could possibly a ghost in the first place...something very heartbreaking he hasn't even realised himself. In a very tender and poignant moment, she helps Harry realise the true nature behind his spectral existence...and it involves Sirius. Sirius, however, doesn't appear to be through with helping Harry out when he needs it. Simply examining the items together in a box reveals a secret that holds the potential to undo all of the wrong that had recently happened--namely Harry's convictions and even his DEATH?

Harry Gets Even--Chap. 7. The Future Imperfect--Harry and Ginny both find out exactly why everything appears so terribly wrong...even moreso than usual. Somebody is altering events to present a twisted, morose version of the future, in order to convince Harry he is really dead--which in turn will make it happen anyway if they don't hurry! The pair find out they not only need each other to quickly reverse this horrific potential, but they cannot possibly achieve it without more people they trust--the friends which hold the power to carry each other through it. But how will they react to Ginny's news? Will they think her grief-crazy if she tries to tell them she's been talking to Harry's spirit? Or will they instead unite together to help the one person who would never shirk his responsibility if THEY were the ones who needed help? Can Harry's unfailing character full of once-living friendships, loyalty, and truthfulness really be enough to bring him home? If so, it would be true testimony to the Boy Who Lived...
