What you should know about me:
I'm obsessed with Labyrinth. I've tried to get out, but can't do it. I almost always have a story in the works, and when I don't I have three of them competing to catch my attention and be written.
I'm a hardcore J/S and romance fan. I will likely never write a J/OC or S/OC story unless by the end of it they're with each other, therefore making it a J/S story anyway. In general reading, I do read all sorts of books - some with romance, some without. It's just when it comes to Labyrinth, I have a reason to read, and that reason is Jareth/Sarah romance. There are very few non-J/S and non-romance stories I read within this fandom, so if I'm reading and reviewing yours, count yourself among a very select group.
I'm a picky reader. I'm not saying I'm perfect by any means, and I do make my mistakes. But constant misuse or nonuse of grammar, proper spelling, punctuation word usage, characterization, etc, is enough to make me stop reading a story, no matter how good the idea is.
I'm a writer in 'real life'. I'd like to one day be published. I know how to write lengthy, more drawn out fiction. In fan fiction, however, I am not willing to spend quite that much time and effort. My stories tend to move right along, and frankly, I like to read fan fiction that also moves along. I'm not talking about fast relationship development; that's important to take slowly and insert much angst. But if you're looking to read what every bite of Sarah's first Underground meal tastes like or know how many sequins are on her ball gown or receive a detailed description of Jareth walking through the castle one morning, you won't be getting it from me.
I prefer traditional romance. I don't read, nor do I write, slash. Ever.
I love feedback. It keeps me going. Therefore, I post as I write. I'd like to be able to write an entire story before I ever post the prologue, but I doubt I'd finish it. The reviews are what keep me going and let me know what's going on in the readers' minds, and sometimes that helps me decide where to go next in the story. I like to write by the seat of my pants, so to speak. I have written entire stories for another fandom and not posted until complete; I've also written stories for another fandom that have appeared in Zines. Those stories actually took me far longer to write! The latest one is one I've been working on for nearly two years, and it's still not finished!
I also write for Scarecrow and Mrs. King, so if you're a fan, check out my stuff here at ff.n; my user name for that fandom is SpyGirl1969. If you do and you like what you read, I'll let you know where more of my work can be found. But these are two very diverse fandoms; I'd be surprised to find someone who likes both, as I do!
I have a couple works in progress for Labyrinth. One is called Everything I've Done, I've Done For You and the other is called Fallen. There's no telling which one will be finished and posted first, if either of them do.
I'm also priveleged to be working with Marti & Danika and an 'all star' cast on Fwd: Fwd: Fae Mail. I'm portraying Sir Didymus and having a blast while doing so. Cheers, casties! I lurve you all!
Watch for a new story soon (it is hoped)!
