I'm Sekana Katayama, and welcome to my profile page! Have a biscuit. Current Obsessions: I recently began to write an original novel, an adventure/fantasy/comedy, but that... er... died in my hands. So then I attempted a dramatic/adventure/fantasy, but my enthusiasm fizzled out on that one, too. So now I've gotten all depressed, and I'm writing an ultra-dark, twisted horror/adventure and it seems to be working so far. The depression helps. Or maybe writing serious things causes the depression, and not the other way around...? I honestly am glad to see it end so that I can begin doing some original writing that I was putting off so I could finish with fanfiction first. On the other hand, I have to say that I wish it never could have ended, because writing it was so much fun that, now that it's over, I'm even feeling a little depression setting in at the thought that I won't be able to write it any more. I do so love my characters... -sniffle- I give my love to all my reviewers, who waited patiently for (how long did it take me to write the whole series?) a very long time, even in between chapters, and still came back and kept reading. I really appreciate your kind reviews - they make me so happy. I'm glad that I was able to finish this for all of you. When it ended, I was honestly sad, because I knew I would never be able to rewrite the ending, or continue it. I was pretty depressed for a few days, which, because it was Spring Break, didn't make much of a difference, but still, I felt downright lonely without a story to write. I had told myself that the Why Can't We Be Friends series would be my last fanfiction, because starting in the summer I wanted to begin writing my own characters and stories (although of course, all of my characters in the WoW series are mine). But I realized that summer was still a little while away, and it's nice to be able to relax and write fanfiction, which can be silly at times, and rather cliche at others, but in the end can have great meaning and some very special moments. Summer Break is about to start for me, so I'll have a lot of spare time on my hands! I'm really, really trying not to revive and completely redo The Matchmaker, which some of you (probably don't) remember as the ridiculously silly story about all the Yugioh characters getting stuck in a magic mansion that has plans to pair them all up. I looked back at it the other day and noticed a few things... 1) the writing quality is horrendously bad, 2) the pairings are just sad compared to what I like now, 3) there seems to be no noticeable plot, and 4) the seasons change with almost every chapter... seriously!? So I'm really, really wanting to completely redo it, because for some reason I just love the idea of a matchmaking mansion, and it's so much fun writing a bunch of different characters in every chapter. I got used to the many-characters thing with my WoW fanfic, so I feel like I could completely utilize my newfound passion for characterization by redoing The Matchmaker. But... I really shouldn't. Oh, bah! Who knows what'll happen. Not to mention I still have a few recent entries left unfinished... You know the ones. Random Info About Me I am, in fact, female. I'm known on other sites as Sekana Katayama as well. At the moment I HAVE FINALLY QUIT World of Warcraft, and I play Nintendo games, some Playstation, draw manga, watch anime, and play piano. I also cosplay. I speak a good amount of Japanese as I have been studying for four years now. My favorite color is green. My favorite character at the moment is probably Malik Ishtar. My favorite foods are ice-cream and cake. Add any other desserts to that, and you basically have a list of my other favorite foods. My zodiac animal is the sheep, and my sign is Gemini. I'm going to attend UNCG in the fall, and I'm very excited about it. I'm majoring in Creative Writing, and I'm also getting a degree in Library Science so I can become a librarian while I write. Yes, I want to become a writer someday. Meanwhile, I write fanfiction, fiction, and make rather dramatic music videos. Don't ask about those. Yeah, lots of random, useless info, but that's how it is.
