January 25, 2009 -- As of now, this is the plan for the stories currently up:

- "A Month" has about four chapters left to go
- "Innocent Mirage" is next on my list, probably another 20-ish chapper story
- "Beauty Reborn" should only be about 10-15 chapters long at the most
- "Kurama's Story", we'll see how that goes, the story will either be rewritten, or just left as a sappy, short-story romance
- "Hiei Goes To School" will probably be no more than 10 chapters. Chances are it'll also be a short story that's updated sporadically.

Once those four, minus "Hiei Goes to School", are finished (I predict by the end of the year after next, that will be the case), I'll then take one idea from each category in my "Pending Stories", and update them equally.

March 2, 2008 -- Hello. Long time no be, I guess. It's been quite a while, but I'm back, though not necessarily in action. I have many ideas, and a lot of inspiration. Let's just see where this takes me, shall we?

About Me

Name: I'm a Payne. That's all you need to know. (nods with mock seriousness)

Age: Young enough to be stupid, but old enough to know better. And still not feel bad about being stupid.

Appearance: Short brown hair, curly in some places, spiky in others -- let's just say it's crazy. People like to touch it. Don't ask me why. Apparently it feels nice. I also have dark eyes. These eyes have been described as crazy as well. I think that's a good thing, but I can't be sure.

My interests are varied and general. They don't make up a huge part of my life, but they do give it a nice flavor here and there. I like music, but am not overly obsessed with any particular band or genre. I love to read, but don't have any favorite authors or books. I have a habit of writing when I should be doing other things (may be interpreted as schoolwork or housework...or any other work), and doing other things (may be interpreted as laying around and doing absolutely nothing other than adding more carbon dioxide to the atmosphere) when I should be writing. I have many friends, but only a few of them really make me feel comfortable enough to be myself. I enjoy watching anime and other cartoon shows, but I'm "mature" enough to appreciate other forms of media as well. But they're not as fun to mock, or write about, as much as anime.

Inspiration hits me sporadically, meaning no time of day/night is off-limits. Seriously. Many of the ideas I have been blessed with are derived from dreams I've had, or the thought processes I've had upon slipping into a daydream. Unfortunately, I always have these amazing dialogues go through my head, right before I go to sleep, and I always think, "I'll write this down first thing tomorrow morning!" and I forget... I would love to be able to write beautiful stories, but I realize that there is a certain flare only a choice few people possess, and I am not one of them. However, this doesn't stop me from having stories blossom in my mind, and so I've resigned myself to just enjoying the pleasure writing gives me instead of striving to make history with prettied words.

Oh, yeah. And I have a crappy memory. So, don't be too offended if I don't remember...anything...?

Also, if anyone is interested, I'm keeping track of all the shows I have watched in my beta profile up top, so if anyone is looking for a decent beta who knows the show from start to finish, I could be of service. =)

Slightly AU = Basics of storyline, i.e. character's powers, relationships, personalities are all kept relatively the same. Only difference is probably setting.
AU = Alternate Universe, everything's probably changed, characters don't have powers or...whatever, and key events in show are left out.

Writer's Comments: (3/14/09) I have a big assignment...to rewrite the first chapter. Le gasp. I know it sucks, but I don't wanna!! If there has ever been something I've hated worse than...well, we won't get into that, but one of things I hate most is rewriting things. It's very...gah. I have no words. There are no words. There should be no words, and yet I keep writing hoping that words will somehow make themselves up and let me use them to describe this indescribable feeling involving rewriting things. Bleck. Hate writing. Grrr.

Beauty Reborn - Incomplete. Rewriting in progress. KuramaxMaya

Writer's Comments: (1/25/09) Due to the incredibly complex and detailed past of Kurama's character, I thought this might need a bit more time for research and whatnot. By the time both A Month and An Innocent Mirage are finished, there should be some more free time to go back over the YYH DVD's, and thoroughly plan out this story. I've said it time and again, I've read stories with this plot line, and I'd like to see if I can do it better. That takes effort, so I'm going to put that in. Rewriting is a definite must, there are so many flaws, it hurts to read over. That's what happens when writing styles change over the course of...four years?

Kurama's Story - Incomplete. Hiatus. KuramaxOC

Writer's Comments: (1/29/09) Upon rereading what I had written, it really occurred to me that this story is...umm...garbage? Yes. That's the word. So I'll have to do some MAJOR revising, as it was too painful for even ME to read through. I didn't get through the first chapter...not good. Curse my past self! Anyway, this is, FO SHO, the last one on my list of things to update. I might remove it altogether, but there are people out there who like it... Suppose we'll just have to see what happens. My mind may save this story yet, and make it magical. Note: THIS IS NOT A SELF-INSERTION, AS IS THE CASE WITH ALL OCS IN MY FICS. I don't love myself enough to do that.

Hiei Goes To SCHOOL! - Incomplete. In Progress. HieixOC (one-sided), KuramaxOC (one-sided). In other words, No Pairings, just a bit of fangirl obsession happening. This isn't me doing the fangirling, btw. Yeah, let's save that for made up characters that we can trash! Yay trashing non-existent beings!

Solemn Lives Part 1-4 - Incomplete. Hiatus.

Writer's comments: (3/2/08) I really, REALLY like this fic. It was one of the first that I had written, and it took years to do it. However, due to the large amount of OC action in the first chapter, I figure it'd be best to develop my reputation as a writer on this website before I try to introduce something as different as this. But I like this fic, so I'm not going to give up on it either. We'll just have to see... again

What if- A Thought Of Kurama's - No pairings. Kurama has a thought. What if someone found the tape from the Dark Tournament with all of his fights recorded on it? And what if that person went to his school? (K+) (Status: Nearly finished, probably elongated one-shot)

Running Water - No pairings. Kurama joins his schoolmates on a field trip to the local museum. However, there's just a bit of a problem...Kurama has a little run-in with a water demon named Sho. He and his mysterious accomplice have plans for the artifacts in the building, but aren't the least bit concerned about the welfare of the people inside. So what can Kurama do but put an end to this dangerous plot in order to protect his fellow students and visitors? Unfortunately, it'll be harder than expected...then again, isn't that how it always is? (T) (Status: Got about two chapters written)

Saving Face - Kurama/OC. Someone out there has something against Kurama. He doesn't know who. All he knows is that, whoever they are, they know who he is, where he lives, and where he goes to school. Which means they have a perfect opportunity to blow his cover. Attacks on the school, putting his mother in danger, sabotaging his poor attempts at asking a girl out on a date, disrupting his first date in general... How will he get out of this unscathed? And with the added troubles of romance, will his human identity remain intact as well, or is that just pushing it? (T)

Dragon Ball Z:

Hell Hath No Fury- Gohan/Videl. Slightly AU. No Cell, no Buu--sorry. Gohan gets amnesia shortly after his whole family is supposedly killed by a group of mysterious hit men. Bulma and her family, who have been close friends with the Sons for quite some time, do their best to trigger his memory so that they can find out who killed the Son family. Out in Satan City, the world's strongest martial artist, Hercule Satan, wastes his life away in the solitude of his large mansion a couple years after the death of his wife. Videl, suffering from the lack of parental attention, starts fighting crime (in disguise--the Satin Devil) to blow off steam. Anyways, Gohan lives his life out as in the High School series, only there is no Great Saiyaman (he's such a dork), only the Gold Fighter. You'll have to wait and see how Videl and Gohan are linked together with their parents' pasts. (M for violence) (Status: 5+ chapters have been written)

Lovelight- Gohan/Videl. AU. Gohan is a lead singer in the band Golden Son, consisting of Goten, Trunks, and Krillin, which was formed a couple years after the Cell Games in an attempt to distract their minds from the loss of Goku. Gohan has sworn off love, saying that his large title would blind any woman that would want to pursue an intimate relationship with him. Unable to persuade Gohan to change his mind, things are left alone. With the music. They do all sorts of music for all sorts of occasions. On one such occasion, Gohan and the gang perform at bachelorette's party... Videl's party, with the engagement to Sharpner Pencil. Love at first sight...or sound, as the duo meets is what this story consists of. Videl starts having doubts, and when Gohan and Videl meet face-to-face...what will happen to the two of them? And what of Gohan's pledge of not allowing love for himself? (T) (Status: Only 1 chapter written)

In Need of A Savior- Gohan/Videl. Slight AU. Gohan is deeply depressed after the passing of Goku. However, it is made even worse after the death of Chichi when she dies giving birth to Goten. Falling into a silent depression, Gohan refuses to interact with anyone, turning him bitter and callous to anyone who attempts to sooth his ache. For a while, Gohan is even harsh towards his little brother--all that is left of his family--for he blames him for their mother's death. However, he has a change of heart, and Goten becomes the only one he actually cares about. No one else. So when Gohan goes to high school as his mother wished of him, will he meet another person to care for? Goten believes that his brother, who saves everyone's lives constantly, is in need of a savior himself. But will that savior come in the form of the devil herself? (T) (Status: 2 Chapters written)

Golden Days - Gohan/Videl. Slight AU. Back when they were in high school, a devastating misunderstanding tore them apart, for what had appeared to be for good. Now, seven years later, the two are accidentally crossing paths once more, back at the scene of the crime. Videl is teaching Biology, and Gohan is filling in for a Human Genetics teacher on pregnant leave. With their very futures rewritten by what had happened during their senior year in high school, is at all possible for the two to reconcile under amicable terms? Or is Videl resigned to spend the rest of Gohan's teaching days drowning in scorn? And who the hell is her fiance-to-be? (T) (Status: 2 chapters written)

Twisting Paths- Pan/Trunks. AU. Pan's family recently moved in, and are now the next-door neighbors of a longtime family friend, Bulma Briefs. Pan is excited after hearing stories of her son, Trunks. Thinking they could be friends, she goes over and introduces herself, only to be dearly disappointed. Trunks is six years older than her, in high school, and thinks of her only as a pest and nothing more. On a road to prove herself, Pan enters high school five years earlier than normal, turning from the once naive and sweet little girl to the kick-ass tomboy we all know and love... we can only assume Trunks feels the same way with what's to come in this story... What About Middle School?- A possible Bulma/Vegeta. AU. A basic diary of what's going on in Bulma's life, with little snippets of humor, romance, and the constant attack of education. Everyone's stories skip up to high school, but what of the years before? What about middle school? (T) (Status: 1 chapter written)

Time's Twist- Bulma/Vegeta, Goku/Chichi, Gohan/Videl. Nothing is right. Vegeta doesn’t remember where he was from, or anything about his race, or even that he isn’t completely human. Bulma doesn’t know that Vegeta is her husband—she’s dating Yamcha, who doesn’t realize that she's married. Gohan is being studied by scientists, but doesn’t know or remember why. Goku is dead, but no one remembers him. Chichi is still the princess of the Ox King, getting ready to be married off to someone else. The only one who remembers everything is Piccolo, but he’s having difficulty putting everything right. A threat is coming to Earth, and is now in need for the DBZ warriors to save it…but will they remember how? (T)

Sailor Moon:

Seed Of Love (title may change) - Rei/Minako, Ami/Mako, Usagi/Mamoru, Haruka/Michiru. Slightly AU. There's not much here to write without giving away the whole plot. It's still in the developing stages. Basically it's a get-together fic for Rei and Minako, and Ami and Mako. Usagi and Mamoru are getting married, and Haruka and Michiru are playing the love gurus for the girls and whatnot. Just a simple, romantic story. (T) (Status: 3 chapters written. Suspecting it'll be no more than 10 chapters in length)

Kingdom Hearts - Haruka/Michiru, Ami/Mako, Rei/Minako, Serenity/Endymion,. AU. Medieval times. A complex issue arises for the newly formed Moon Kingdom when all the minor kingdoms continue to war with one another. So what does the recently crowned Queen Serenity do to solve this problem? Why, gather all the royal children and have them meet and live at the Moon Kingdom, of course! In order to unite the land as one, Queen Serenity attempts to reform the younger generation of each nation and have them get to know one another without having their people's ideals forced upon them. Unfortunately, the idea doesn't go as smoothly as planned... But the power of love tends to tame even the wildest beast. (M) (Status: 1 Chapter written)

Poolside Romance - Haruka/Michiru, Usagi/Mamoru, small hints of Rei/Minako and Ami/Mako. AU. Michiru's a lifeguard, and Haruka's on the school track team. When team funding comes in the form of a "snack shack" at the local pool, the two end up meeting. However, it's anything but love at first sight. Distrust, maybe. Anger, probably. Lust, most definitely. But love? That could take a while. (T) (Status: 2 chapters written)

Circles Inside a Cage - Haruka/Michiru, other possible pairings. AU. The Crystal Tokyo Protection Agency, or the CTPA, is an organization in charge of providing elite members of society protection from various degrees of danger. Top special agent Tenoh Haruka leaves due to personal reasons that lead her to CTPA's rival company -- Galaxia, renown for its shady ability to quiet its employer's problems physically, not diplomatically. After taking her in, Galaxia assigns Haruka to the assassination of one famous violinist -- Kaioh Michiru, daughter of Kaioh Takeshi, CEO of the most prominent weapons specialist company in Japan that provides the military with its arms. The trick? Set it up so that it's the CTPA's fault for her death. Haruka goes in under the guise of being a CTPA agent, and finds that fighting others is harder when you're also fighting yourself. A story of duty and morality, and when to choose one over the other. (M for violence) (Status: 2 Chapters written)

Taking Wing - Haruka/Michiru, other possible pairings. AU. College setting. Elza Grey is trying to put together her masterpiece - the school musical. Everything is in order, from Rei choreographing the dances, Minako preparing the lyrics and music composition, Ami managing the light and sound settings, Makoto tackling the tasks of costumes and set design, and the actors -- oh dear, the actors. Elza Grey can't seem to find the right male lead for her play! Haruka, one of the stage crew, may just be the answer. But how can Elza help Haruka overcome her stage fright, and what about getting along with her co-star, Michiru?

Backseat Driver - Rei/Minako. AU. Minako, famous pop star and teen idol all around the world, is incapable of keeping a chauffeur to drive her around during her spontaneous vacations. She calls up Usagi, a friend she made during the start of her career, and asks if she can help her find someone do it -- maybe a friend of hers who may need a job? At this point, she's willing to pay whatever necessary. Rei, who's having financial troubles with the Shrine since her grandfather died, is struggling to find a way to keep her home from falling under in debt. She calls up Usagi, her high school friend, and asks if she can think of any way to help Rei dig herself out of this hole. While both Rei and Minako seek out Usagi's help at the same time, confusion occurs, and somehow Rei ends up with the job Minako was offering. However, the two do not get along in the least. Will this attitude change during the time they spend together, or is that asking too much? (T) (2 Chapters written)

Exes and Hoes - Rei/Minako. AU. Rei Hino is a prostitute, selling her body in order to take care of her sick grandpa. Minako Aino, big and famous actress, goes through sexual partners like tissue paper. Both are looking for a change. Minako is getting sick of all her jealous and possessive ex-boyfriends fighting over her, and Rei yearns to find another way to support herself and her guardian. Is it possible that a chance meeting between the two will fix both of their situations? (M) (Status: half of 1st chapter written)

Rebirth of Wind and Water - Haruka/Michiru. A compilation of moments from their childhood, leading up to their Senshi days. I rather like it, it's very cute, but yup... (K+) (Status: perhaps 5 chapters written)

Beethoven's Symphony No. 5 (title may change) - Haruka/Michiru. AU. Overly-attacked plot of the two growing up together, best friends and all. But this could be considered something different. Michiru is in the orchestra, and consequently, the band is short a piano player. Not that no one can play, but the members of the "band" are needed on their instruments. So who volunteers to fill in? Well, not Haruka. At least, not until Michiru cajoles her into participating. When it comes time to perform out of state, and consequently taking a week off during school, things progress between the two, growing from a nearly perfect friendship to...a perfect "something more". (T) (Status: Chapter one written)

Punctured Tires - Haruka/Michiru. AU. Haruka used to be the child racing prodigy of Japan. However, when an accident guided by her hands tears away her most important person, she refuses to get behind the wheel of a car ever again. Years later, Haruka is approached by a group of mysterious people in need of her skills. They claim that only her gift at racing can protect the three mystical artifacts of the past from greedy and ignorant hands. Can Haruka get over her fear and leave the past behind her, or will she allow it to consume her and let history repeat itself? (T) (Status: Chapter 2 is written)

Kissing Cousins - Haruka/Michiru. AU. Another attack from the brainness. "Haruka's been adopted by the Kaioh family, and Michiru has a new cousin. Only, Michiru's never had the urge to kiss one of her cousins before. That could cause problems." Haruka gets adopted when she's really young by the sister of Michiru's dad. Growing up is rather interesting when your love interest is your cousin. This is a story watching as the love between the two grows from familial affection to full-blown romance. (T/M) (Status: Chapter one written)

Flying Solo - Haruka/Michiru. AU. Tag line: "Haruka laughed and said, 'As debatable as it may be, I firmly believe it's harder to be single than it is to be in a relationship. People just like falling too much.' When the winds of change pick up, sometimes it's best to go with the flow." Haruka was once the most famous pianist in the world, but after introducing herself to the more wild side of life, she's moved on -- to extreme sports. Sky-diving, rock-climbing, dirt bike races, skateboarding, snowboarding, sandboarding, hang-gliding, surfing; you name it, she does it, and she does it well. The blond has no commitments, since all her family has passed on, and her career glides on the fortune her musical talents raked in years before. Only, now there's a new musical talent in the air, and she's tugging at Haruka's attention. Michiru may be a catch, but will she pull the blond along for the fall or will it all go up in flames? (T)

Garage Sale - Haruka/Michiru. AU. One of these days, stories will stop attacking my brain. Tag line: "Michiru's always lived in a neat, organized fashion, with everything pristine and in its own place. So it's no surprise that she's thrown for a loop when a grease-covered Haruka stumbles carelessly into her life". Michiru is the daughter of a wealthy business man. She gets a car for her birthday, but a few weeks after she receives it, the car needs some maintenance. Thankfully, the local engine repair shop has a handy blond more than willing to tinker with the parts and get it working again. After that fateful meeting, it seems that all of her father's cars need a tune up. Michiru volunteers for the job... Of course, lots of flirting ensues, but that's half the fun! Short, probably an elongated one-shot. (T)

Pet - Haruka/Michiru. Tag line: "They say that Tenoh is really possessive of his wife, always keeping her on a leash. What they don't know is who really wears the collar around their neck." I know Haruka is a girl. But this is set in the "future" after the series, and where Haruka works, they don't really know that she's a woman. But they know that her wife is gorgeous. Maybe one of Haruka's workers should rescue her from the big bad Tenoh? Haha, big mistake. (T, maybe M) (One-shot possibility -- either way, short story.)

Rain -- Haruka/Michiru. AU. Tag line: "Did you know? When it rains, that's the only time when the sky and the sea can meet without anything else getting in the way. The sky would like to meet you today, Michiru." Michiru and Haruka always seem to run into each other when it rains. (K+) (One shot/Short-short story)

Against the Rules -- Haruka/Michriu. Probably AU. Tag line: "The rules were simple: What Michiru wants, Michiru gets. When Michiru gets what she wants, it's always by her terms. When she's done with what she got, it's time to move on. Unfortunately for her, Haruka doesn't really like following rules. And that attitude is contagious." Still haven't hammered out a strong plotline... Don't know why I'm writing blindly, but oh well. (T-M) (Elongated one-shot. Status: Part One finished)

Final Fantasy X-2:

Dr. Green P - Paine/Rikku. It's gotten to the point where Paine's having a bit of trouble keeping her icy mask in place, especially when Rikku is running around with her old friends and doing Yevon knows what. Yuna doesn't seem to have a problem with it, though it could be because of the fact that she finally has Tidus in her life again. That, and she's not the one that has to put up with Rikku's excitement over the guys she's dating. Paine's been suffering through it, but who can say how long that'll last? And what's the problem anyway? Surely she's not...jealous? (T) (Status: Chapter 1 is written)

When the Day Met the Night - Paine/Rikku. How the heck DID Rikku and Paine meet? Well...it might have something to do with Sphere hunting, a bit of energetic clumsiness clashing with stoic calm...and of course, the ever-present danger of dwindling Respect Points. A story of how Rikku expanded the Gullwings, starting with Paine, picking up Yuna, and developing strong bonds along the way, one of which may just satisfy what she's looking for. (T) (Status: Chapter 1 is written)

South of Nowhere:

Holy Shit (title may change, only if Fanfiction has a problem with it) - Spashley, other minor pairings included. AU. Tag Line: "You know where hot, young rock stars go when they get in trouble with the law? Church. You know who helps them? Hot, young blonds that are the Minister's daughters." Ashley is this hardcore druggie rock star. She drinks and parties her life away, without caring for the consequences. One fateful night, Ashley goes out driving, drunk out of her mind, and has a car crash that throws her into one of the most life-altering events of her life. The woman she hits, Madison Duarte, files charges, leaving Ashley facing five years in jail. However, her lawyer and (half) brother-in-law, Aiden Dennison, manges to negotiate a deal -- Ashley, instead of being sentenced to jail, pays off her due to society...by attending a Unitarian church for the five years she would be spending behind bars. The Church Ashley is meant to be attending is run by Minister Arthur Carlin, his son being Ashley's parole officer, to make sure Ashley sticks to the judges verdict. Spencer Carlin, Arthur's lovely daughter in medical school, is on break volunteering at the Church with her family. Kyla Davies-Dennison, and son Jake (J.D.), have been going to the church for years. Will the presence of all this familial love help Ashley come back from the dark and twisted lifestyle she had adopted since her own father's death? Or will she mess up and head back to jail for good? (M) (Status: Chapter 1 has been started)

Spencer Who? - Spashley. AU. Almost typical take on high school. Tag Line: "Spencer's got it all. But then Ashley comes along and makes her believe she really has nothing." Got nothing really to add yet, this time it'll be Ashley as the "new" kid, transfers from another school in LA to be with sissta, Spencer has Aiden wrapped around her finger, Spencer's gonna be a mini-Spencer-Mommy person, yada yada. Don't want to spoil everything. It'll be fun. (T)

Please -- Spashley. Slightly AU. Or not. We'll see. Tag line: "Sometimes a polite word can go a long way." Spencer is really annoyed with herself. She just cannot order someone around, at least not without saying "please" and "thank you". She tries to get Ashley to help, but, as it would turn out, the rock-star has other plans in mind. Spencer ends up realizing that maybe using the "magic word" isn't as bad as she first thought. Sexy one-shot, probably. (M)

Kim Possible:

Opposite Sides of the Track (title may change) - AU. College setting. KiGo (I know, I know, I'm jumping on the band wagon. Whatever, I've been inspired...again.) Shego's the angry, outcast-rebel of an upperclassmen, and Kim's the incoming happy-go-lucky, positive thinker, cheerleader freshman. See what happens. (T)

Bleach:

I have nothing to write here yet, as I'm hardly far enough into the series to actually write something remotely accurate, but I do know I'll be writing a few TatsukixOrihime/YoruichixSoi/IchigoxRukia and other pairings... just need to come up with some good stories...

Don't Be Koi - Yoru/Soi. Possibly AU. Tagline "They say that cats love to fish, but bees linger around the koi pond too." Nothing to share yet, still in the making. (K+/T)

Mai HiME:

Photogenic - Aoi/Chie. Fun little one-shot involving Chie and a model she never really considered. Won't say much more, since it'll probably spoil it... (K+/T)

Man's Best Friend - AU. ShizNat along with other various couples perhaps. Tagline: "When Shizuru started begging her parents for a puppy, she wasn't prepared for what that wish entailed.
