Hello, all! It's been a rather long time since I made any changes to this page, but I thought it was high time I did something. So, allow me to introduce myself! I am Waffles4eva, and goodness, I do not know what possessed me to pick that name. -_-;; Nowadays, I hate it, but it's too much trouble to change! Anyhoo, what's in a name? You can probably guess most of the rest- an English teenage girl living a life and writing fanfiction on the side. Like everyone else here, I really really love writing. I'm writing less and less fanfiction nowadays, but I still love it, because I am a shameless nerd. :D Most of my older stories are Yu-Gi-Oh, though the REALLY old ones tend to be Animorphs and things. Nowadays, you'll mostly find me hanging around in the Ouran section, though I occasionally branch out elsewhere. I seem to be better at drabbles and one-shots, though A Superhero Story is still my personal favourite. Ah, ah! I should say that I am a Christian (Baptist, if you're interested!) so for those of you looking for a 'harmless' fic this may well be a good place. I don't do lemons or whatever, I mean. There's rarely more then kisses and the occasional temptation in my fic, I promise. Swears are pretty much none exsitant too! I've used two or three in 50 odd fics... So yes. They're all quite harmless, but hopefully we can still have fun! Thanks for reading, and I hope if you chose to look at them you enjoy my fics- I'm told I have a warped imagination!

Reason to Be- (February 2009, mixed pairings, IN PROGRESS. Updates Wednesday/Saturday) This is completely unlike all my other fics. It's a lot darker and the only one with anything resembling 'darker' themes. Really, though, it defies summary... Hmm. Let's say, for the sake of argument, that Kyouya had been one half of a set of twins. In his world, he lived while his sister died. In hers, he died, and she lived on. Now she knows the truth, she struggles to find a way to justify that his life was given instead of hers. In the meantime, she also has to deal with arranged marriages, competing for her man, and working out what it is she really wants. It's no wonder she starts to go mad.

360- (October 2007, Kyouya/Haruhi, IN PROGRESS) A collection of short Kyou/Haru stand-alone drabbles written with my sister, the PockyPirate. A study of a relationship taken from all angles.

Irrelevant Information- (September 2007, Kyouya/Haruhi, 2 chapters) This one's very hard to explain... Kyouya is hurt. Badly. And he's having some rather strange dreams; while outside his family and friends are facing a real life or death decision... Part one is angst, part two is humour.

The Magpie Lament- (October 2007, Hikaru/Haruhi, 3 chapters) An AU fic written for my younger sister; because the only thing she'd like better then Ouran would be a fantasy Ouran. So, in a desert town, something sinister is afoot. There's a thief on the loose, but just as they're getting somewhere with that, a much larger problem comes into view- at least, it is for those who know what to look for. The line between hero and villian is very thin indeed.

One-shots (10):

Breaking Point-(September 2008) Rengé, realising she loves Kyouya as he is, decides to win him over- by any means necessary. According to her friend, every man has his breaking point, and if she can only find it, she can't fail to win him over! Just a little bit of fun, to be honest!

Billboard- Tamaki is madly in love with Haruhi, or so everyone thinks. So when he ups and leaves her, when he wants a divorce, saying he suspects her of being unfaithful... who really believes him? There has to be a reason, surely. But if there is, can they find it in time? He really seems ready to leave forever. Is it possible that their happiness has been used up, and so the ending must be sad?

Under Pressure- (January 2008, Hikaru/Haruhi) Exams are very important, everyone knows that- except Hikaru, it seems. He didn't do too well in his mock exams and he doesn't seem to care. The others do, however, and if he doesn't improve his marks he's going to be pernamently excluded from the Club. He still doesn't care; and if they don't convince him, he might never be back...

Something Borrowed- (January 2008, Kyouya/?, Haruhi/?)- To the shock of the others, Kyouya is getting married. And, being Kyouya, he's being awfully difficult about it and not telling them the identity of his bride. They think they can make a pretty good guess, however; and they know Tamaki loves Haruhi too. She's not giving anything away, and Tamaki doesn't know. How are they going to sort out this one?

Of Brothers and Sisters- (July 2007, VERY light Kyouya/Haruhi and perhaps a little Hikaru/Haruhi if you squint reeeeeaally hard. XD) Written for a very special friend of mine, Scooby2408, as a birthday present- and I have to say, I do love this one; though it does feel more like a few really long drabbles sewn together. (And believe me, Scooby knows how bad my LITERAL sewing is! XD) Basically, it's a nice little look at different relationships within Ouran- Kyouya and his family, the twins on a new addition to theirs, Haruhi's thoughts on being alone, Mori attempting to deal with his brother growing up (and falling for Haruhi! Ahem) Honey and Chika having their usual 'good' relationship... and so forth. It's hard to summarise, but hey, I like it.

How it Happened- (July 2007, Kyouya/Haruhi) This was a fun one. Kyouya is trying to work out how and why and when everything changed, queing a lot of flashbacks to the ups and downs of his relationship with Haruhi. Does he ever work it out? And will he ever ask THE question? Heh heh... Haruhi has bad timing, the twins have dress sense, and there are Melon-flavoured corn snacks in this one. Oh, written for Fruiti-chan's birthday!

Butterfly Effect- (July 2007) This is probably one of the most angsty, or the most angsty, thing I've ever written. Simply put, it looks into what the lives of the Host Club members, and others, would have been like had the club never formed. There may well be some suprises in store; because Tamaki's not even in Japan, the twins are seperated, there's more to Haruhi then it would seem, Honey never ditched the manly act, Mori never speaks to him, and Kyouya... Well. With good influences removed, I'm sure you can imagine. A happy ending thankfully, because, lest we forget, the club did form after all!

Rain- (June 2007, Kyouya/Haruhi) Kyouya didn't seem the sort to like the rainy season to me, which means he's in a foul mood- at least at the beginning of this one-shot! However, after a few chance meetings with a certain person, he may just come to like it. Remember, rain muffles sounds, soothes pain, and touches everything. The idea for this fic all spawned from when I was walking home from Church in the rain and my glasses were fogging up. I thought 'I bet Kyouya doesn't have this problem', and thought no more of it until I was in the mood for writing, and... poof!

Children and Animals- (April 2007, Hikaru/Haruhi) This is a bit of an oddity, really, but I love it! Dedicated to my sister as this is her favourite pairing, it's a little story of Hikaru, Haruhi, and their favourite animals. They have different reasons for that favouritism, which was nice for me, as I got to write them as little kids, at the ages they are in the anime, and as adults! Yay! Ahem. I bet no-one cares why it was fun to write, just why it might be fun to read. Well, seeing the hosts as kids is always fun, and also Haruhi's birthday. It's hard to explain... Hika/Haru fluff, plain and simple!

Technicalities- (February 2007, no real pairing) This was the first fic I wrote in the Ouran fandom, so it will always have a special place in my heart. Probably not in Haruhi's, though, as she's somehow ended up being hired to represent both sides of a case. Where Kyouya is trying to sue the twins. For a responsibility Tamaki didn't complete. Because of a problem caused by Honey and Mori. XD As you can imagine, it's a lot of fun and all an appaling mess! Now, will Haruhi get it all straightened out in the end...?

Drabbles (10):

The Most Beautiful Thing in the World- (November 2008, Tamaki/Haruhi) This is a little different to my other stuff, I guess, because nothing specific happens. XD It's just Tamaki's reflections on how he found the most beautiful thing in the world. No real surprises as to what it is, but it has to be said, I rather like this was. It was fun to write something nice and overblown!

Storm- (November 2008, Tamaki/Haruhi) Everyone has to do it once... XD A look at why Haruhi is scared of storms, and how Tamaki helps her when she is. Pure fluff, of course. Aww.

Moonlight- A slightly silly and melodramatic piece of experimentation of what happens to Tamaki on the night of a full moon... it's a nod to Sasuke from Millenium Snow. XD

Letting Go- (January 2008, Tamaki/Haruhi) Tamaki knew that, once he left school, he wouldn't really be a part of Haruhi's life anymore. He knew he would miss her, but he didn't know how much- and despite how hard he's trying to let go, despite him thinking he's given up on her, his girlfriend knows he hasn't. So, it would seem, there is a time to let go and a time to cling on. What she doesn't know is which time this is.

Second Chance- (December 2007, no real pairing) Just a little drabble, discussing what might have happened if Haruhi had managed to catch the vase that day.

Wordplay- (August 2007, Kyouya/Haruhi) This one was quite possibly the hardest thing I have ever written. So many headaches... @_@ Heh heh. Actually, it was suprisingly popular considering it's based on a single joke. Anyway. Inspired by a scene in 'Of Brothers and Sisters' in which Kyouya couldn't quite bring himself to ask if Haruhi was okay, this drabble spawned. See, Kyouya's very good at saying no and making it sound like yes, or saying nothing in a very long winded way. Unfortunatly, he seems to have met his match in Haruhi... This was written for Scooby2408 too, so if you like Yu-Gi-Oh or PotC, go check her out!

Bonsai- (June 2007, Kasanoda/Haruhi) I suppose you could call this one my fanfiction claim to fame as there aren't any other fics of this pairing on this site- at least, there weren't when I posted it; or else there aren't any that are findable. (But if you know of one, please PM me!) Anyhoo, poor old Kasanoda, brushed aside like leaves on a garden path. There's really no reason why, if everyone else can 'persue' her, he can't- right? Unfortunatly, he has a small problem that has the properties of something large, and it's own confusion over his feelings and the action he should take. I really wrote this up in about 20 minutes just to 'establish' the pairing in preparation for a longer one-shot I'm hoping to write. Eventually. Yes.

Reflections- (June 2007, one-sided Hikaru/Haruhi, some indications of everyone else/Haruhi) Angst! So much angst... Yes. This is the epithany of Hikaru, I suppose, as he reflects on a relationship. What it was, what it might have been, and what it never will be. He is waiting for a procession to begin that won't stop and won't turn around. It has a certain end. He, on the other hand, does not. He has to find that end on his own. But, how can he? What is he supposed to do alone?

Innuendo- (May 2007) Hee hee... This one is purely for the sake of a bit of fun and a cheap laugh! An extremely cheap laugh. It's a story of twisting words and misinterpretations... but who doesn't love a bit of word play? I don't really have much else I can say on this one without ruining it... Frankly, it's the crudest thing I've ever produced!

Crescendo- (April 2007, one-sided Tamaki/Haruhi) This one is... odd. It's an 'art piece'! XD Tamaki's music is his whole world, a new world, where nothing and no-one can touch him. In theory. Most cannot get into that place, yet, it seems she can't get out of his thoughts. Like a crescendo, things are building and swelling inside him until they may just burst out; or else dwindle back down into the silence of another normal day.

Sweet Dreams- (March 2007) Just a sweet little bit of fun. It can't be good for Haruhi's reputation to fall asleep during the club, but, thankfully, the others may not agree...

Yu-Gi-Oh

Chaptered Fics (8):

A Superhero Story- (17 chapters, completed in December 2006, Ryou/Serenity) Well, if the title doesn't give it away... (Ahem) This fic is a bit of a fun one, following Ryou as he deals with the fact he has superpowers and a past that he'd rather leave behind. He's stalked by someone in Egypt, a pyromaniac is out to get him, someone he knew a long time ago hates him, and Seto is set on unmasking him. Then there's all the usual stuff to worry about, as he finds that he is growing closer to Serenity but hasn't yet put a finger on how he feels. This fic has a tendency to slip into a 'dark' storyline as we look at one person's descent into madness and delve into the shadows of the pasts of the two most troubled characters- Ryou and Seto. Ryou may have superpowers, but let's not forget Seto has a trick or two up his sleeve... I have to tell you, I love this one. I mean, it's my favourite thing I've ever written, so if you want to see my at my best, take a look at this one!

Ripples- (6 chapters, completed in August 2006) Written for Scooby2408's birthday, so please go and read her fic! Just say I sent you. ;-) Anyways, Ripples is set in an alternate universe, and Anzu and Yugi are both members of a royal family- of two seperate countries, previously at war but anxious to stop it from happening again. However, just before the agreement can be made, Anzu is kidnapped. As you may imagine, Yugi goes to rescue her, along with Jonouchi, one of his knights; Ryou, the royal mage of Anzu's nation; Seto, also a knight, but a rather unscrupulous one; and, finally, Danielle. Danielle is actually the central character in this fic, as she is an alternate version of Scooby; and she is the Royal Mage for Yugi's country. Simple! Unfortunatly, throw in a couple more alternate versions of our friends, and one or two characters from some of my other fics, and it gets a little more complicated; as it seems that no-one is going to be able to be with the person they love... Aww... Anyways, it's a pretty traditional quest/fairytale type story, plus it's a self-insertion- sorta- so if you're like me and don't really go in for that sort of thing, don't bother reading. If you are, please enjoy! (And the answers to the question- 'Why did you write it, then?'- are 1. I wrote it to appeal to Scooby, or tried to 2. Cheap laughs. :D Bleah... not much of a fan of self-insertions, myself; but if you like AU quest/fantasy/romance stories this may well prove to be for you! Just you WATCH the Seto angst! Ha ha ha!)

Time Flies(3 chapters, April 2006, Seto/Anzu/Ryou/Anzu/Yugi blobby type pairing thing) Things aren't going too well for Anzu. Someone- though no-one knows who- wants to buy up the land her street is built on and use it to build a factory on, and they're offering a handsome sum. Some of the residents are prepared to accept as the price climbs, but Téa has lived there all her life- there are many memories locked inside her house- including one of the boy who used to live next door many, many years ago... Silly it might be, but sometimes she fantasises of him returning, to sweep her off her feet; and if she's moved he'll never find her. But that was a long time ago, and her life has moved on, so it might be time to give up. After all, she has a certain friend who she has always had uncertain feelings for... and now, she ALMOSTseems to be torn between him and another friend. What's a girl to do, when all she wants is a happily ever after...?

It's My Move!- (21 Chapters, completed in July 2005, Seto/OC, Slight Ryou/OC & Mokuba/Serenity, mentions ofYugi/Téa, Joey/Mai ect. ect...) We all know how the story goes. Mokuba gets kidnapped, (Again) and it's onii-chan to the rescue. Only this one's vicey-versy. Coming home from a rather nice evening to find Seto missing, this time it's a fifteen year old Mokuba's turn to save his brother! Throw in the Yugi-tachi, two travellers, a guest role from Azreal (see below!), two detentions at once and a villian, and you just about have the size of this fic. In all honesty, it's not too serious a fic- just a bit of fun!

Amusing for Inspiration- (13 chapters, completed in April 2005, Seto/OC) Strange things are afoot... It's amazing, really. Not only does Joey posses artistic talent-it has an effect on everyone else! Somehow, it ends in a rather doomed attempt at getting Ryou and Téa together, a prank that gets out of hand, and- could it be?- Seto making a friend? Musing is supposed to be straight-forward and inspirational- but when they send Azreal Kiyoko, things are turned topsy-turvy! She's far from Seto's job efficiency, that's for sure... This fic was my first completed longer one. Well, I say 'longer'. It was only 68 pages in total, which seems like nothing now. XD Ah well. The first in The Wings Series, I promise they get better as they go on! XD

Wherever you Go(27 chapters + 2 fillers, completed in March 2006, Seto/OC, Yugi/Téa, Joey/Mai and hints of Ryou/OC & just getting into Duke/OC. Oh, and a few pairings between 2 original characters. There's rather a lot of minor OCs in here...) The sequel to AfI, and second in the Wings Series. Azreal has taken up her place in society- as much as she ever will, anyway. However, as she settles into her life on Earth, things start acting up- First, she's losing her musing powers, and they seemed determined to take her human side down too. On top of that, now Wherever's in trouble, and she intends to help. May as well go down a hero... This fic is fairly episodic, without too much of an overriding storyline but more a storyline per chapter. Still, it was pretty good fun that way! I suppose I'd call it 'character based'...

Fall or Fly- This is going be a short one, looking back at points in Az's life and looking ahead to the lives of those she left behind- including her daughter, Maya, at the age of 16. Along with her friends and quite a few apperances from the 'oldies', this fic is going to feel a little different to the others, I think- but, after all, it is the end of Az's story. I suppose, through telling the story of Maya and her friends a little more is revealed of the lives of the others. Ah, more character based fics... Maya would love to know about her mother, but she does have her own problems. In true Romeo and Juliet style, she can't help but noticing Joey's son is rather nice; and Yugi's daughter a good friend... but she doesn't think her dad would approve. Then again, he probably wouldn't know- he doesn't seem to notice that much. Mokuba says his wife's death did him in, but Maya doesn't know about that. What she does know is that she is not her mother, and the only standards she will meet will be her own. IN PROGRESS.

Culinary Capers- I think this should really be called 'discontinued'. Either way, it is the very beginning of a fic that crosses over my idea that Seto cannot cook, mainly from Wherever you Go, and my co-writer Willowwind's 'The Secret Journal of Bakura the Great', in which Ryou has a fetish for cooking implements. It seems to be the natural progression of things that Ryou would teach Seto to cook, but things are rarely simple. Téa is left looking after Yami Bakura, who now has a new partner... things could get messy. Posted on Willowwind's user so either look on my favourites or head over to her bio.

Mutual Understanding- (One Chapter) One day, I was sugar high, and this was the result. Just the traditional body-switch fic, only, for some reason (It seemed like a good idea at the time) It's Téa and Yami Bakura! Only an opening chapter so far... there is a beginning of a second chapter somewhere in the depths of my PC, I think... left on here in the vague hope that I'll return to it some day... Don't think I will though. In all honesty, it's a bit naff! -_-;; DISCONTINUED

One-Shots (12):

I've Learnt- (February 2007) A Seto/Anzu fic for valentines. Ten years after he was kind to her that one year, Anzu looks back on the events- the time she cried in front of him, the arguement, the detention, and the dance. But what was it that caused his change of heart...?

Man At Midnight- (December 2006, Ryou/Anzu) Ryou goes to visit Anzu while she's ill, and ends up doing more then rescuing her from bad television. Somehow, he ends up meeting her demands of telling her about his homeland, and that one conversation grows to more then he could have thought as he manages to grant her one wish.

Moment of Weakness- (September 2006, Seto/Anzu) Pure, pure, Seto/Anzu fluff. After all, Seto is not supposed to allow himself a second of weakness; and nor is she supposed to find him when he does. Or maybe she is. Because things play out better then they could have hoped. From weakness comes strength...

Field of Flowers- (April 2006) Just a drabble, really. Did you ever wonder what would have happened if Serenity's eye operation hadn't worked? From that pondering comes this drabble; where grief and hope seem to be much the same thing...

The Day the Yu-Gi-Oh Gang do Absolutly Nothing- (March 2006) ...This should really be deleted, it's so awful. That's all I really have to say on that... Ahem.

Fragments- (January 2006, Seto/Anzu) Title stolen from a play my Drama teacher wrote for the school play. Written as a birthday present for 'mine friendly-friend'Willowwind, (Plug plug) it's about... Téa. Yeah. It's all lovely and snowy in Domino city, but she doesn't have time to faff around with the white stuff- it's the seasons for colds, after all, and one of her friends has come down with it. Being Téa, she can't leave well enough alone, and goes to visit. It's just a pity she gets knocked down by a car on the way back. She survives, but her dreams don't. That is, unless she can find some way to bring them back...

Going Up?- (December 2005, Seto/Téa, indications of Ryou/Serenity) Or not, as the case may be. It's bad enough when a lift breaks down and you're stuck, without throwing someone you can't stand in there with you. How long can the Christmas Spirit possibly hold out? But then, what better a oppourtunity to get to know someone...?

One Little Word- (September 2005, Seto/Téa)Prime example of why the YGO cast should hate literature class. Being set a poem leads them to all their problems- if Téa hadn't lost sleep over it, she wouldn't have been looking gormless. If she hadn't have been looking gormless, Seto wouldn't have suprised her by saying 'Boo'. And they wouldn't have been in this mess. How can one little word cause such a problem...?

Three Little Words- (November 2005, Seto/Téa)Sequel to One Little Word. Neither Seto nor Téa really know how to deal with the events of a month ago. So... Maybe her going to NY is the best thing. But it certainly doesn't feel that way...

Promises of Sacrifice- (June 2005) Little hard to summarise this as I didn't even write it. Heh. My sister spawned this. If you want a gloriously angsty Seto monolouge, this is all you need. He promised Mokuba he'd look after him, and he doesn't seem to be able to do it. So Seto needs to find a promise he won't break.

Something in the Air- (February 2005) A little bit of fun for valentines. It appears Mokuba has a secret admirer, and he is determined to find her. She, on the other hand, isn't going to make it easy for him at all... Hee hee...

Shopping for Seto(December 2004)A pretty pathetic first attempt at a one-shot... Mokuba attempts to find a Christmas gift for Seto, and comes back to face that question that plauges us all once a year- what do you get someone who has everything? Don't like this very much though... Even I wouldn't recommend it! Still, people seemed to find it funny, maybe I should take another look... Hmmm...

We're not Alone- (Animorphs) (8 Chapters) So, Marco wanders back onto that Yeerk website one day, and there's actually someone who sounds like they know what they're talking about. And, along with the realisation that there are no Taxxons in Star Wars, the Animorphs find an 'underground' organisation full of those who have escaped theYeerks, are hiding, or are fighting- and it's a good job to. Because it looks like the Yeerks are making their own morphing cube. Discontinued at a really inconvienent place, actually. Discontinued as it was moving too slowly and not really getting anywhere. Not been taken down to remind me that, despite what I, and my writing-esteem issues think, my writing has developed. Also, I'm intending to rewrite it; I like the idea. Only, next time, I'm going to do it right...DISCONTINUED

Ramblings of a Demented Author- (Harry Potter) (Three Chapters)Another example of my older fics on here. Very simple in concept- Gender switch! Ron wakes up as a girl. Forget trying to change back, he's too busy trying to survive... Discontinued simply because it wasn't going anywhere. Left here because it was the first fic I really got any reviews for, and it seems it would appeal to some people's senses of humor. I have to say, I love the bit with Malfoy and Harry... Smile- (Animorphs) (October 2006) An Animorphs one-shot, written in honour of my sister's birthday- because she rocks! Anyhoo, it's from Ax's POV and is basically just a bit of light humour and fluff as he celebrates a birthday and enjoys a summer- Earth style. And it is over that summer that he comes to know a girl, there on holiday, who shows him how to smile. Just harmless cuteness, really...

Freedom- (Animorphs) (November 2004) A poem, this one! Uh, there's not much to say... Written at about 3AM, just taking a look at the wars against theYeerks.

A Superhero Story II- The Shadows- (Yu-Gi-Oh) (Title may change) Following the trials of the days of the Pyromaniac, the guys enjoy a few happy months, until finally comes the appointed day- it's the summer break! With Serenity going back to reconcile with her mom, Ryou might perhaps have got a little lonely... but with his sister, the Heightman twins, more heroes and more villians, it might not be such a relaxing break as he would have hoped. The winds of fate will blow again, and in order to move on, it might be necessary to go back, right back, to the beginning- in another country, on the other side of the world, something sinister is afoot. Choices will be made as characters stand at crossroads of the heart. Family and friends, homes and belonging, to be a hero or to slip into obscurity, all manner of things will be changed. But when the hero needs saving, who can come to his aid? Those left alive. Not everyone will make it to where they're supposed to be. More humour, more angst, more action, and more Ryou! Yay!

So, the challenge is set- to find out her name, and to find out why she doesn't speak; and soon it can be discovered that some communication is outside words. Yet, just when things seem to be getting better, things get worse again. Will she ever trust them enough to talk to them...?
