Author has written 51 stories for Harry Potter, and Chronicles of Narnia. Hello, You have reached the profile of Romantic Idiot, formerly Secret Slashyness. It has taken me a number of years to get around to changing my penname, which is rather sad. The reason behind the change, though, is rather simple, and has only been prolonged by my amazing feats of procrastination. You see, when I first started writing and reading fanfiction, I had another account, and I wrote and read exclusively Draco/Hermione. But I sucked. Horridly. And found I was rather more interested in Sirius/Remus, anyway. And my friends, while they could accept that I wrote fanfiction, would have been hard pressed to accept that I wrote slash. They used to be a rather conservative lot, you see. So I went merrily on my way creating a new account, and writing slash. Then I suddenly started reading Hermione/Severus. I don't know why. Which of course led to writing Hermione/Severus. Which made 'Secret Slashyness' rather redundant. Not even taking into account the fact that my writing slash has long since ceased to be a secret. Which is why, after hearing someone describe Liza Minella as the original romantic idiot, I had to become the romantic idiot of the Australian 21st century. So here I am. And I'm doing rather well. To tell the truth, I don't write as much as I used to. I'm not sure why. Perhaps I'm lazy. Perhaps it's RSI. Perhaps it's university. Perhaps it's just growing up. It may even be guilt. You see, I am completing a Creative Writing degree, and I have this strange notion that in the spare time between completing assignments, I should be writing. And, considering I'm in a CW degree, should I not be writing something original that can be published? You see my dilemma. So, if you find that you like my stories (almost exclusively one shots, because I'm just that kind of horrid person), I shouldn't expect frequent updates. Although I can promise you that when I do write something, I will not write rubbish. And if I do, I will not post it. I have a question for all fanfiction readers. When you read the Harry Potter books, do you ever find that you can't remember what is cannon and what is fannon? I often find myself thinking ... 'but wait a minute ... they died ... oh, right. My bad." And I have this other theory ... that JK Rowling's books are actually just the official fanfiction. I mean, if we don't like what happens, we just change it in fanfiction, anyway. Which is why I have issues spending $30 on a book I'm probably going to be disappointed in anyway. ... And I have rambled for long enough. I have only to mention the name Hannah Johnson, because she will skin me alive via the internet if I don't, and then I shall leave, and let you scroll down to the infinitely more interesting array of my stories ... or better, the favourites on my favourites list.
