Author has written 21 stories for Harry Potter, and Lord of the Rings. My profile image is of Spiderlady, the pet Treeclimber in my story 'By the Light of the Moon'. I was taking a 3d graphics class and decided to have some fun (the professor said it was one of the more original subjects he'd seen, which made me happy). Sadly, the class fell behind on the material and so we never learned how to add color and shading on our models, but at least you get the general idea. Enjoy! (Can somebody tell me if the picture is actually showing up? I thought I uploaded it, but I'm not seeing it when I look at my page) I'm a big fantasy fan. If it's taking a turn into that shadowy realm that exists only in our minds, I'm all over it. I've done a little bit of writing since my early teens, but never got the nerve to show them to anybody until a few years ago. However, one of my earliest memories is of sitting on the swingset in our back yard making up a story. I have and haven't left that early beginning behind, there is usually a 'movie' of sorts playing through my head, of whatever storyline I'm dreaming of now. Most of these aren't writing quality, but there's a few that get polished and see the light of the word processor. Some story concepts get written that day, more a couple days or weeks later, and a rare few suddenly burst into their adult forms after several months of lying dormant. And, of course, some never do get written because of some flaw or other that never gets worked out. Oftentimes, elements from these failed stories will end up in a totally different story because I really liked some scene or other and it actually worked in its new home. For an example of this, see my comments for 'By the Light of the Moon'. Thank you everyone who has reviewed, and especially thank you those who put me on their favorite author and author alert lists! I love you all! Timelines 'Light' Timeline By the Light of the Moon: My first ever chaptered story. I'm enjoying writing it, and I'm glad you all are enjoying reading it. This story actually takes elements from several of the timelines I've created, including the 'Sangre' and 'Lost' (specifically, 'Hello Again, Petunia') universes. This story started off as an image of Sirius racing through a burning house trying to rescue Harry (back then, it was set the night of the attack on the Potters). That idea didn't work out, but later on, I started wondering what would happen if our beloved Transfiguration professor suddenly found herself in charge of a rowdy child. That idea (as it stood then) actually didn't work out either, but the two concepts sorta merged in my head and became the beginnings of 'Light'. Dudley entered the images floating through my head after I read 'Living Without Danger', by WhyDoYouNeedToKnow and I started wondering what he would be like if he had a different upbringing. It wasn't too long after this that I started writing the first chapter of 'Light'. So now you know. Help Me: This didn't originally belong in any timeline in particular, but I ended up assigning it here because of a reference in 'Light'. Strictly speaking, I always figured this being one of those moments we never saw in the books that might have happened but we never saw. Bit of a story behind this one, too. I was actually thinking over a story idea that explained why everyone originally thought Remus might be the spy (this was when the Potters were chosing their Secret Keeper), and suddenly Lily said, "You know, he's never been the same since Cassie's death." And that got me to wondering who Cassie was... 'Lost' Timeline Lost: Wow, thank you all! I've never gotten so many responses to a story. Glad you all liked it, it actually almost didn't get posted because of a bad case of nerves on my part. Hey! I guessed Remus/Tonks before JKR confirmed it! Do you have any idea how loud I squealed at that moment? To Live: The story that made me decide to put several of my one-shots into a cohesive timeline. See if you can spot the segment from 'Lost' that suddenly decided to write itself into the story. Torn: I've been wanting to write this forever. Always and Forever: R/Hr Hello again, Petunia: Why is it nobody wants to write Petunia as a person in her own right? She's got issues, true, but in many ways that makes her all the more interesting. A scene that ties Petunia into the history of the series. Could I have a word: R/Hr. A missing scene from Goblet of Fire. Fluff. My Fault: Was inspired by the Lasgo song 'Alone'. Anyone who's heard it should know the passage that the story came from. I'd post it here, but the way the website's been lately... 'To Whom' timeline: To whom this may concern: This is easily one of my favorites that I'vewritten so far. One of the rare few that came out pretty much the way I wanted it the first time. Dear Mum: A continuation of the 'To Whom' storyline. This one set a record for most drafts and complete rewrites. Thought I'd never get it written! I might go ahead and post one of the earlier concepts for this one. (see below) Hero: A continuation set a couple of years later. I've got it pretty much written, but I guess I'm a little nervous about posting it. This actually started out as one of the first drafts of 'Dear Mum' but I later decided to set 'Mum' a lot closer to 'To Whom'. 'Sangre' Timeline Chamber's Echos: Takes place in Ginny's second year. At the hand of the other: One interpretation of the Ootp prophesy. Takes place years after book seven. | |||||||||||
