Authors Ramble: Running across incomplete stories with erratic update schedules drives me bonkers (not that there's anything wrong with it per say -- I still read the stories --it's just a personal preference thing) so I don’t plan on posting my chaptered stories until they are completed. You’re welcome to drop me an e-mail and try to convince me otherwise, but I’m rather stubborn and I do have several other reasons for not posting my stories until they are finished. All my stories for every fandom I write for are posted on this site. I also post my HP stories on Fiction Alley (http://www.fictionalley.org/authors/shavaineth/) though I haven’t quite decided if I like that site or not. I also have an account under the same pen-name on fictionpress.com (http://www.fictionpress.com/u/510151/Shavaineth) if you're interested in some of my more original work. On a whim I started a forum (http://www.fanfiction.net/f/636434/) for discussing various writing related topics. I don't have very many topics listed there at the moment, but I would love to hear other peoples thoughts on the matter or anything else that might be related.

Current Muse: My current focus has been primarily on When Darkness Falls as I would really like to finish that story sometime this century. For the moment I seem to be over the massive case of writers block I had on this one, which is definitely nice even if the writing is going a bit slower than I really want. After that I'm hoping to finish up a couple of shorter pieces I've been sitting on for a while.

Current Project:
Working Title: When Darkness Falls
Fandom: Harry Potter
Characters: Harry Potter, Severus Snape
Rating: R (or M) mostly for violence
Genre: Drama (possibly Dark with a bit of Action/Adventure thrown in)
Current Progress: 39 chapters completed out of an estimated 50 chapters
Summary: During the summer following his 5th year at Hogwarts, unexpected circumstances set a chain of events in motion that will change Harry’s life forever.
Comments: I came up with this story idea before HBP came out so obviously despite whatever my post date for this is going to be it’s not HBP compliant. I’ve fixed things where I could and paid homage to JRK’s story, but ultimately I decided I wanted to write this as I had come up with it rather than try to make it HBP compliant. Obviously it's taking me a lot longer than I'd planned to finish this story, but I'll get there eventually since I now have my original beta back on board and I finally got past the block I was having on chapter 29.

Other Projects:
Working Title: Ashes of Time
Fandom: Inuyasha/Buffy/Angel cross over
Characters: Kagome, Sesshoumaru
Rating: T (contains some violence and dark themes but so far I don’t think it warrants an M rating)
Genre: Action/Adventure (possibly Tragedy)
Current Progress: 5 chapters, overall length unknown
Summary: After a battle in the Feudal Era leaves most of the Inuyasha gang badly injured, Kagome decides she cannot sit back and watch any longer. Her quest for somebody to teach her how to fight, leads her to discover unexpected alliances that may be the key to defeating Naraku once and for all.
Comments: This is actually the first in a three story series I’m calling the War of Souls. At the moment, none of the Buffy/Angel characters appear in this story, but Angel and his gang show up in the second story and Buffy is slated for an appearance in the third. I actually have a bit more worked out in the second story for this series (tentatively titled Echoes of Ashes) because that was my original concept. I also have a potential plot bunny for a side story in here. I do however need a beta for this story. If your interested, check my requirements below and drop me an e-mail.

Working Title: Usagi's Truth
Fandom: Sailor Moon
Characters: Usagi, all three Starlights, Sailor Pluto

Genre: Drama/Romance
Current Progress: Outline and a number of scenes written of an estimated 5-10 chapters
Sumarry: Just before the Earth freezes over, Usagi makes a startling discovery about what truly lies in her own heart and her connection to her past and future self that sends her to seek out Sailor Pluto's help.

Working Title: Starlight Hope
Fandom: Sailor Moon
Characters: Sailor Moon, Starlights, Outer Senshi
Rating: T (possibly M for violence and adult themes)
Genre: Action/Adventure
Current Progrees: No actual chapters yet, but many scenes written for what will probably end up being a 20+ chapter story
Summary: When Princess Kakyuu is killed during an invasion of Kinmoku, the Starlights seek out the one person they know can save their planet from being destroyed again. Unfortunately Usagi, now Neo-Queen Serenity, is faced with the Black Moon Clan's attack on her own planet.
Comments: I'll be the first to admit this story sort of came about because I wanted to see if I could write a story with a non cannon character pairing (Seiya/Usagi) without deviating from the cannon storyline or having the characters being secretly in love with each other. In any case, this story has sort of taken on a life of it's own and I'll just have to wait and see where it goes.

Back Burner:
Working Title: Between Darkness and Light
Fandom: Labyrinth
Summary: Nearly a decade after Sarah’s visit to the Labyrinth, the peace of the Underground is threatened by a force more powerful than Jareth. His only hope for the salvation of the Underground is Sarah.
Comments: I really like the concept for this one, but I’m having a bit of trouble because of the romance aspects of things. My romance muse seems to have gone on vacation at the moment, silly creature. Anyway, there is the possibility of a sequel for this one, mostly because I have some images in my head that I really like, but I don’t have a real story line for it so the sequel idea may be abandoned.

I have probably close to a dozen other concepts and outlines across several different fandoms including Harry Potter, Inuyasha, Slayers, Labyrinth, Ranma 1/2, Sailor Moon, Spirited Away, Bleach, Naruto, Fruits Basket, DNAngel, and Buffy: the Vampire Slayer. I’m becoming rather partial to crossovers among these fandoms though obviously I have yet to finish and post any of these. But that’s probably more than you ever wanted to know right? ;-)
