Author has written 6 stories for Lord of the Rings, and Silmarillion. Hello. I am a big Lord of the Rings fan, but I do read other fandoms too. My favorite Tolkien characters are the Mirkwood Elves and the Elven King in particular. I think Thranduil and his situation is very intriguing, probably because Tolkien tells us so little about it. It is a fanfic dream. I am currently posting a very long fanfic called Interrupted Journeys that is my take on the history of Thranduil and Legolas starting in the beginning of the Third Age. The story covers Thranduil's first years as king, the courtship of his wife, his move to the stronghold in the north of Greenwood, the birth of his son, Legolas's adventures and concludes when both father and son are in Valinor. It has romance, mystery, angst, drama...there will be something for everyone and some parts may be more interesting than others, depending on your tastes. I hope you enjoy it and review. Someone suggested I post a list of characters from the story in my profile as a sort of reference, so here it is: Lindomiel—Thranduil’s wife / Legolas’s mother Aradunnon—Thranduil’s younger brother and troop commander Amglaur—Lindomiel’s father / Legolas’s maternal grandfather Hallion—Thranduil’s steward (Hallion’s wife, Moewen, and daughter, Laugoneth, are both dead) Celonhael—one of Thranduil’s advisors Golwon—one of Thranduil’s advisors Crithad—a tool maker and stone worker (one of the architects of the stronghold) Dollion—Captain of the palace guard / Aradunnon's best friend Dolwon—a Silvan elf, originally from the south of the realm, being held in the capital for crimes committed in Part 3. Dannenion— a Silvan elf, originally from the south of the realm, being held in the capital for crimes committed in Part 3 Tulus—a former member of Thranduil’s guard / a Silvan elf, originally from the south of the realm, being held in the capital for crimes committed in Part 3. Marti—a long term trouble maker (she has also used the names Manadhien and Manarindë so far in this story) Other characters: Conuiön—Captain of Thranduil’s personal guards Tirithion--archery master in Eryn Galen If you would like to email me about anything Tolkien related, you may do so at elliska67@yahoo.com. | |||||||
