The icon to the left was made by me. The texture used was from http://www.rainharbour.net/, an amazing site with beautiful textures, brushes, etc. I recommend it! The image comes from one of the chapters of Fruits Basket, from http://www.mangavolume.com; the person in the icon (if you can make out the image of a person) is Sohma Akito, and she looks truly lovely.

And oops! My mistake! It's supposed to be gilded butterfly, without the 'u.' Ehh. I'm much too tired and simply too lazy to change it. Maybe in the next icon(s), if I decide to use the phrase one more time.

Now, let's see. I don't really know what to say in these things, but, here goes nothing! I'm Slytherin Redeemed, but feel free to call me Bianca, as that is my real name. I've used several pen names on this site before; you may remember some of them: Wakaoji Takudo, The Rose of the Abyssinian, Snowy, Dark Imperfection, or DuchessCarlyle. Those pen names have several stories concerning them, as does the current one I'm using. Slytherin is, as of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, my favorite Hogwarts House. Why? Two words. Severus Snape, and that's all I'm saying about that matter. For me, writing is more a hobby than a chore; I enjoy writing because as I do so, from piece to piece, I can see any growth and change in my writing. Aside from writing, graphics designing also interests me from time to time, although I'm not the best one at the craft. :-P

I'll happily write for any fandom that interests me. You can see what I've written for up there (points), but for right now, I'm content to be writing for the Harry Potter fandom. I'm a fan of both het and slash 'fics, as I do like variety in what I read.

I'm a large fan of poetry. Emily Dickinson and Edgar Allan Poe's poems I adore to no end, but Algernon Charles Swinburne is also a favorite. Right now, my favorite poem is Algernon Charles Swinburne's "The Litany of Nations"; the ending lines are the lines I like the best. They go something like this:

By the cross-winds of defeat and disaster,
By wreck, by wave;
By the helm that keeps us still to sunwards driving,
Still eastward bound,
Till, as night-watch ends, day burn on eyes reviving,

I've thought about writing the following two stories that I'm going to list for a while, and I think I will, once my schedule clears up. I might also take Amee C's suggestion in her review of my newest one-shot, The Choices We Make, and follow it up with a one-shot of reactions. Like what I've been writing recently, these two are also in the fandom of Harry Potter. My Potter!muse never ceases to strike, especially after I finished Deathly Hallows, although I suppose my reading fanfiction in that particular fandom has something to do with it, too.

An alternate reality wherein Sirius Castor Black was born and bred only the purest of pureblooded Slytherins, nothing short of the expectations of one of the oldest, most prestigious bloodlines, the Black family: Sirius was naturally smart, and he was ever the effortless charmer. He was the prized child, the one and only child fit to be Heir of Black, and offered only the best of pre-Hogwarts educations. And he was the firmest of firm believers in pureblood elitism - just the way he was brought up to be.

Together, they have one child, the Child of Prophecy who will one day bring down the to-be resurrected Dark Lord. This child is known to the Wizarding world as Alexander Cyriacus Snape. The family of three now face the threat of Voldemort's rising-again after his defeat thanks to Dumbledore, just as Alexander Cyriacus is at his most vulnerable: Their child has just started his first year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
